LOL that sounds more like it. Pick them out of a hat maybe?
What really surprises me is the way that GT treats the iconic Japanese cars. Either they are missing or still in standard such as the original Nissan Skyline GT-R (can't remember the Japanese name) & R34 Skyline GT-R Z-Tune, Toyota Mk4 Supra RZ & Trueno (AE86) and Mazda RX-8 GT.

Don't you all know?

There is no Australia.
The continent with its strange creatures and his "car industry" does not exist.
It's a work of fiction, a myth. Like Atlantis.

In my humble opinion, I think there are enough fantasy cars in the game, no need for more. Thank you very much.

;)

And PD are including more muscles cars. Surprised no Falcon XA or '69 Mustang. No old Jaguar Touring Cars. We have the '93 Calsonic R32 but, no Base Model to make an ATCC replica. The FPV's are in GTPSP yet, missing in GT5. I dont know how that fits in licensing to have it in one game and then not the other. Kaz mentioned hed like to have more Australian cars in the game. We'll have to wait and see. Plus, we still dont know the full reason why Turn10 only have two V8 Supercars. Theres more to the story.

You are most certainly on to something. Imagine if there was a top secret collaboration between PD and T10.

Jeff Fisher – General Manager, Motorsport, Nissan Motor Company “This test is absolutely significant for Nissan. It opens up V8 Supercars and Altima to the world of Nismo’s global motorsports program. It’s very exciting,” said Jeff Fisher. “Michael and Lucas are professional drivers who have a lot of experience around the world in different categories and different circuits. “These guys will go back to Nismo in Japan, report on what they’ve done and they should be in the box seat to come out to Australia for the endurance races next year.”

Remember, there is this as well:

Well we got Indianapolis without Indycars and Daytona without Daytona Prototypes, however like those two circuits, Bathurst runs more than just one series.

This post comes across as one of those stereotypical "I'm a hard done by Aussie bloke!". While it is a little disappointing that there may be no V8 Supercars in GT6, it's not make or break for many Australian Gran Turismo fans (including myself and many other Australians on the forum). And as others have pointed out, there's more to it than just deciding "hey, let's put this car in the game" and just doing it. There's licensing that has to happen and sometimes it's not very easy. We'll, at least, be able to re-create other races at the iconic circuit, like the Bathurst 12 Hour with the inclusion of a few more GT3 spec cars, because there's more to Australian motorsport than V8 Supercars.

Well said brah!

While Indy & Bathurst are known for the series left out, it isn't as big a deal for Daytona since it was built by Bill France (The founder of NASCAR) and currently owned by International Speedway Corporation (Owned by the France family)

I have to agree with the decision, so far, not to include any V8 Supercars is questionable. At least they could make the standard Ford Falcon XR8 premium. I'm not a hardcore V8SC fan, but the more I see of the series in even short videos, the more I like it. Let's hope we don't go too long, either in GT6's lifetime, or any other GT game's lifetime, to get the V8s. And hopefully, the inclusion of the cars will be well worth the wait.
Or give us the Nissan Altima Supercars (both Jack Daniel's Racing & Norton Hornets).

Isn't there already a V8 supercar in the game? The standard Ford Falcon?

Other than that, I kinda have to agree that I am a bit disappointed that there aren't any new premium ones. :grumpy:

This was a V8 SC prior to the V8SC's becoming that

Look while I am disappointed it's not the be all and end all for me. It would be great but it looks like we may have to wait esp with Forza 5 and Xbox having a lot to do with down under of late

It doesn't much matter to me. I would gladly take some V8 Supercars, but I think I can enjoy the track just the same with other cars.

The way PD are categorising the new race cars, Id say we will get the Nissan Altima Norton 360, along with a Base Model. If that is the only new V8 we get.

It doesn't surprise me at all that we have Bathurst sans V8 SuperCars. There are even more omissions like, for instance, having the Nürburgring 24h circuit but no VLN racers (Just Kaz's GT-R and the standard Team Falken R34)...and Kaz takes all that pride in saying "Oh I race the Ring...I'll translate all this experience to Gran Turismo"...ridiculous. Seriously Kaz, did a Group C car tried to overtake you the last time you were racing at Nürby?

I, like most Australians are totally un-impressed with the makers of GT6 for not
including the aussie v8 supercars. After such a long wait for the Bathurst track
it is a massive slap in the face to all aussies who are shelling out hard earned bucks so we can race on our iconic track but not with our iconic v8's. What a total disgrace with total disregard for all aussie GT6 fans.
First off welcome to the community:gtpflag:. That was quite a passionate introduction you made. I get the feeling that your going to fit in just fine here. Trust me when I say that all GT fans would be more than pleased to have any AU representation in there garage but, for now we are ecstatic that we'll get a chance to thrash about on one of the worlds most famed circuits.

I'm just saying

I'll laugh just because theres no V8 Supercars weren't shown (which could also show up as DLC too with new models), people will probably cancel their pre-orders and kicking their desks... Just. Just imagine that guys.

No V8 Supercars? No worries, you could always do dirty racing with NASCAR at Daytona at nighttime or talk to those crazy Saudis who hang out at GT Arena bragging about how many platinum trophies they got.

Man, even though I love Aussie V8's as the next guy, it's not a deal breaker if none of the new 2012/2013 V8SC are not in game. At least we got Bathurst in GT. Besides, like it was mentioned before, GT3 cars at Bathurst=12Hr Enduro. And you never know, we might end up seeing a Mercedes-Benz and Nissan V8SC DLC...

Huh? Do you know, that there are GT3 cars driving at VLN too? The winner of last year 24h is new in the car list, and was used for VLN. All drivers for the 24h race have to solve some races at VLN to be permitted at 24h race. Use Google.
