HA! if this game flops (and it will flop ) and people are still getting hyped for DLC then that just proves that people will accept whatever crap from any popular development team/publisher.

Isn't BF:BC3 scheduled for 2015? Also, EA making DICE push a game out every year kills it for me. I want to be able to enjoy a game to its fullest. Like BF3.

I can already tell this is gonna flop HARD!. No doubt there's gonna be a day or 2 of hype after release but its gonna flop. 1. It looks like a cross between BF3 and BF4. BF4 looks better than this game.

How does this have miniscule features if it's essentially a smaller Battlefield game with cops and robbers? Seems like a pretty new thing to me. When was the last time a police-based Battlefield game was released?

I think it'll do just fine, maybe not quite as well as BF4 did since people will be wary of buying a shoddily-made piece of software, but this will not be a flop in the absolute sense. Relative flop compared to BF4, maybe, but that still gives it a huge margin since BF4 sold pretty damn well.

Also you should never underestimate the power of hype. This game at least looks different to BF4 and I imagine will bring a lot of freshness to the franchise with cops & robbers game modes that just wouldn't work in BF4, so provided they manage to keep the bugs to a minimum I don't think they'll have much to worry about.

Ahh, look at kids these days. DLC seems to be a blessing to them. Glad I'm not hardcore into current gen gaming.

Actually, it does remind me of BF2's Special Forces map pack thing, similar rappelling and hooking mechanics, gasmasks, NVGs, with a police settings of course but pretty similar.

As a game it would probably be good, but I'm so tired of Battlefield 4 and this game seems to be a highly made mod out of it, not to disregard it's quality but to point out that is just a change of maps and skins, and the rest will probably be the same.


I am going to get called for this, but I am looking forward more to COD since BF3 (I'm guessing Kevin Spacey in it is a huge plus, but the trailer suggest some degree of self awareness though I'm not completely sold), while this game seems to follow that trend of Call of Juares The Cartel (which really suck), is not to say that this will suck, but the high pitch and the theme is something already done by so many lame games that completely sucks the life out the concept (that, and the whole gangsta vs cop set up that everyone got sicked up years ago).
 
I can say that the footage is actually 6 months old that was leaked.
EA confirmed that the footage was 6 months old and expect new stuff at E3

Seriously though....

Visceral made the Dead Space series. So, I'm thinking the campaign is going to be decent. Also, I thought DICE and Visceral are making the game. Not just Visceral.

They have alot to worry about actually. EA's numbers are dropping rapidly. The only thing that's keeping EA a float is they're Sports developers. Sure BF4 sold pretty damn well but I'm pretty sure it left bad taste in the consumers mouths. Don't let the power of hype fool you.

Maybe it left a bad taste with you but I bought my Premium after 50 or so hours of playing. I like it a lot :)

I'm more interested in the modes, to be honest. They have an opportunity to do some unique stuff here and it would be a shame if they wasted it on a load of Rush clones and token multiplayer shooter modes. If they manage to pull off some interesting asymmetrical multiplayer stuff I might actually be interested - Payday 2 is one of my go-to games at the moment - but right now they need to convince me that it won't be a broken waste of time and money like BF4 was. Until they prove that (which won't happen until normal people have played the release version 'in the wild', so to speak), I won't be buying it.
 
Good to see that this Battlefield game will be different than most FPS games, and won't be just another modern war FPS. The game kind of reminds me of the old SWAT series.

It's not like BF is starting a new theme or anything.... Counter Strike have done this for years. Then came Payday. *the only two games I can think of ATM
 
Looks like hardline ia going to suffer the sam poor tikrate that plagues bf4. ( think getting shot behind cover)
