Anyone think this trailer was leaked intentionally as a publicity stunt? I just can't remember anything like this happening so early with other games.

Knowing how bad in terms of quality BF4 is, it is indeed a publicity stunt, I can't remember leaked footage of any videogame with such video quality, uploaded by a big reviewing company...
 
Has anyone heard about the conspiracies that the old Police Warfare game from 2012 that was canceled out of nowhere is BF:Hardline?

@Fryto It might be, but I think that it is interesting how the Police Warfare lead designer said that a lot of the game had already been made with their own money and they were in the final stage where they needed some help so they made a Kickstarter. But then they just canceled the Kickstarter along with deleting their twitter and Facebook pages for their production studio "Elastic Games". Then they said that, "This is no means the end of Police Warfare" and news would be coming. But no news ever came out. So the game just disappeared. Why would they cancel all of it if they were in the final stages? Maybe some big publisher got ahold of Elastic Games and that's why the Kickstarter was taken off.

I don't know might just be a coincidence. It's pretty interesting though.

For those on the PS4, keep refreshing the Overview tab on the Battlefield 4 game page (you can do this by highlighting another game). After enough times, you should be given the prompt to download the game.
 
Hardline beta is currently downloading on my PS4 too. If anyone wants to add me I go by James_Page on PSN.
 
how did you guys get your codes that fast to download Hardline? I registered for Hardline beta on their website for PS4 like 30 minutes ago and no code yet :/

I registered 10 minutes ahead of my friends... They've got the codes... I'm still waiting... Almost 2 hours and 20 minutes now.
 
I played a round of the heist mode last night on the police side. It's kind of cool, but I wasn't really following what was going on. It was like a combination of rush and capture the flag; the criminals had to grab bags and take them to drop off points while the police had to try to run them out of tickets. I'm not sure if the criminals had to crack vaults open too, since the game kept telling me to protect the vault, but it seemed like the criminals had the next bags in their possession almost instantly.

Anyway, it was pretty fun, it's just more Battlefield but in a new setting that I think works quite well. Obviously I'm not going to pre-order, in fact I may not buy it at all since I tend to run out of people to play these games with after the first couple of months.
 
You're right in that Heist is a mix of CTF and Rush. The premise is that the criminals have taken down a convoy of two armoured trucks. They have to blow open the doors of each trucks in order to get the loot. After that's done, they need to successfully transport both bags of loot to two different drop off points.
 
If anyone is still having problems logging in, maybe this will help:

  1. Log-in to Origin.
  2. Go to your Origin “My Games” tab.
  3. Right click “Battlefield Hardline Beta” and click “View Game Details”.
  4. Locate and copy the Product Key.
  5. Click the Origin menu in the top left of the screen and select “Redeem Product Code”.
  6. Follow the flow to redeem the Product code.
  7. Now log out of both Origin and Battlelog.
  8. Log back into Battlelog (do NOT log back into Origin yet)
  9. From the top drop down menu select Battlefield Hardline.
  10. This should now be the correct Battlelog site and allow you to log into the game.
  11. Select quick match and Origin will automatically start up, log in and activate the game.

You should now be able to access and enjoy the Battlefield Hardline beta.

It helped for me, I am now able to access Hardline Beta.
 
Downloaded the beta as soon as i saw the anouncement while watch the E3 stream and I still can't make my mind up about it. I'll reserve judgement until the beta ends. All I can say is I don't like blood money. The fact the enemy can steal the money back out of the vault is spoiling it at the moment. It basically means some members of your team have to stay back and defend, but every game I've played hardly anyone does. Although to behonest I don't blame them as it is boring compared to actually going and trying to actually play the game mode, you know like stealing the loot from the actual stash and killing enemies in the process. Its just both teams stealing from each others vaults. Also the Survivalist jab and Mobile spawn van are quite over powered. The survivalist jab redicilously so. Even so it is a nice change of pace and setting and the other game mode Heist is enjoyable enough. I also like the unlock system to which allows you great freedom in which weapons you unlock and the order in which you do so. All in all I'll say its looking promising.
