Chase Mode

In Chase mode, a group of police officers are required to take down a certain number of racers in an allotted amount of laps. Being an active GTPD member is not required to play as a cop. A 5-10 minute intermission time will be given so officers can create a plan on how to bust the convicts. Officers are allowed to use any tactic or method they like except when handicaps are set for that round. A handicap restricts what methods of takedown are prohibited.

Police Handicaps
Handicaps are applied to chases to spice things up. They can be used together or not be used at all, it’s the host’s choice.
- No roadblocks.
- 1 car only roadblock.
- No brake-checking.
- No PIT maneuver.
- No helicopter.
- No SUVs or trucks.
- Trucks or SUVs only.

Tracks
This is a list of recommended tracks and time allotments. The host is not forced to use these.
Circuit de la Sarthe - 1 Lap
Sierra - 1 Lap
Bathurst - 2 Laps
Matterhorn - 2 Laps
Tokyo - 2 Laps
Rome - 2 Laps
SSR5 - 3 Laps
Cote d'Azur - 3 Laps
Ascari - 3 Laps

Requirements
Cops: White car. You do not need the blue wheels and number.
Racers: Something not white.
Cops-to-racer ratio: 3:1
For every three cops, there is one racer. For example, when there are 6 cops, there should only be two racers. 9 cops, three racers. 12 cops, 4 racers etc.

Objectives
Cops: Catch all racers before they complete the number of laps required.
Racers: Don't get busted before they complete the number of laps required.

Room Settings and Info
Same as other Joyride modes except the amount of laps for that specific track. When the room is in practice mode, that is the time for cops to discuss their plan in a PSN chat. 5-10 minutes later, the host may start the race. Once the race begins, the racers must remain at the start line until the cops are ready. After that, the battle begins.

If you guys find any errors or would like to ask a question, go ahead and post it.
Hmm.

This makes me want to come back. Sounds fun. And my internet wasn't all that bad when I was racing you a few days ago. I'll try to come to one of these if one of these opens sometime to test it out.

I'm guessing a bad thing would be that we need to start race to play, meaning if anyone has to join late, they would have to sit there doing nothing for 15-20 mins, maybe even 30...

What if we can't? Not everybody has nothing to do all day? People work...
It has nothing to do with how busy you are. Everyone thinks Ameer and I, and even the active members sit around all day and host lobbies. In reality, we are busy just like you. But, we make time for this club. Or, if we can't make time that day, then we miss the event. You have to try to plan ahead a little...

The new chase mode seems like an interesting idea. I might pop into a lobby this weekend when I'm not working and when I've finished my puppy duties, or attempt to host one myself since I haven't done so in ages. Just a shame I can't really do it on weekdays.

I didn't say you did?
People always post replies on here about something along the lines of "Sorry I never join. I have a life." People think that we don't have lives because we're active. It's something that is implied, like @HighRevving said.

You did say this, after all...

What if we can't? Not everybody has nothing to do all day? People work...

Which basically says that we have "nothing to do all day". This isn't true in the slightest implication.

Alright, I think I've rambled enough. Back on topic, I will most likely be able to join or host tonight.

Oh. I see why you thought of it that way now, apologies. I didn't mean to direct it at you guys...

I'm going to have yet another try at this lobby thing…
5 likes for a Patrolled Joyride at 6:30 PM EST.

Offer expired. Seems to be getting harder to make lobbies lately...

Sorry about the inactivity, next week is exam week and I have been studying. I will try to join a lobby over the weekend.
