i have no problem handling these cars they are high in my ranking of favourite cars :D
yeah...but we're talking about a MR that only weighs about 600kg .....its pretty much an F1 car without the downforce

The Motorsport Elise, Lancer Evo 6, and Viper GTS, they all handle great the Viper especially when ASM and TCS are off.

ZZII is quite possibly one of the best handling cars in the game!

Hang on - are we talking stock here or customised suspension - 'cos I find the Elise oversteers like a VW beetle on flat bald rear tyres.

I'd put a vote up for the NSX - very predictable.

we're talking fully modded with superslicks and tire damage off (arcade) ....i know you don't play the arcade version though

Okay - I have had a lot of trouble tuning the oversteer out of it in GT mode - it's a lot of better now, but I dread driving it at Seattle.

I suspect all those years of driving FF's in real life has lead to some bad habits.

Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec II R34, hands down the best street car in the game!

Mmm - look, I'm a BIG fan of the GT-R series, but they haven't exactly got the best turn-in of all the GT3 cars. Ah, the joy of 4WD.

Once you've overcome the initial understeer, they're fantastic, especially in high speed corners.

possibly, but Seattle's not a great course for the motorsports elise .....it's a pretty bumpy track and the elise is such a light car .......these two were definitely not made for each other......i think alot of people don't get to experience the full potential of the motorsports elise b/c they aren't tuning it properly ......you have to remember the car only weighs about 600kg ......and the springs don't need to be very stiff .......i'll send you the settings of my motorsports elise within the next few days and you tell me if its not your favourite car after that ....i had a big grin on my face once it was got right :D

Heh, at least I didn't throw the RX-7 RZ into the mix. Lets face it, the street rotaries in GT3 just aren't so hot. Even after they're fully modified, they're not much fun to drive.

I can really dig some Honda NSX feel though. Very smooth car. It does what you expect it to on the first time around any track. I wonder how true that is to the real thing.

Yeah - I was going to comment on your lack of Mazdas.

The main reason I voted for the NSX was, as reported in other threads (no comments on wheel choice please), I drove a Type S Zero on superhard slicks in the Polyphony and really enjoyed driving it - which considering the length of the races (and my short attention span) was no mean feat.

Actually, for the first time in the GT series, the MX-5 in standard trim is good fun. I really enjoyed the enduro.

I can't say that I enjoyed the enduro, but it wasn't nearly as boring as I had anticipated. The Miatas have been much more entertaining than in previous games.

You're not using the GT3 wheel, are you?

It made it more interesting as I could feel the difference between differing lines through the wheel, so I would try two or three laps on one line, and then two or three on another.

The good thing with that enduro was that the tires last forever so you can lock yourself in mentally - I just ran laps and ignored the counter, and next thing I knew I was halfway through the race!

Diddo on the mind numbing aspect of that race.

I own a Logitech Wheel, but it's loaned to a friend. When I beat the game I'm going to go back and re-learn how to play with the wheel.

Oh yes - mind-numbing.

And the Tokyo enduro was an enjoyable FREAKING-FOREVER (:

I don't have many non-modified cars. My 3 best handlers are the: Altezza RS200
R34 GT-R V-spec II
Viper GTS
They do what I want them to when I want them to. THey are pretty nice.

yo hudson ! your making me feel like methusila :( ;)

and lighten up with the caps man , your deafening me  :D

I think the F-1 cars are cool and all that, but. . . the games is oodles more fun to play when you are using a normal car and the races are close. I think the game looses some of it's appeal when you are whipping up on the competition by 3-4 laps. Also I enjoy driving the spoon Civic FUN!

Finally someone who knows what this game is about...

I personally find it very BORING racing an F1 car against opponents who doesn't have a chance!
It's WAY TOO EASY!! AND IT RUINS THE GAME!!

Just like the Escudo, I hate it!!

- Well that's my opinion!
I don't care if you lot share it or not. :P

But I guess that a lot of people, would find it fun racing an NSX in a Yaris race..

I have a friend who practically stopped playing the game after he got an F1 car. And he's only got FIVE other cars!!
Talk about ruining it for yourself.

Have fun with the game, and try not to cheat: You will have more fun in the long run.

NO CHALLENGE = NO FUN

The best car is the IMPREZA LM RACE CAR !!- AND YOU CAN EVEN RACE IT ON THE DIRT TRACKS TOO !!!!

I tried one of the races once just to see how i would fare, and there was this light blue car that just wooped my ass and all the other cars. i could only hold second place no matter how good i was driveing.

Let me guess. Was the driver of the light blue car, by any chance, wearing a yellow helmet? ;)

I have to agree with the 2 previous posts. Playing through the races and tuning cars to be equally competitive cars makes the game a lot more challenging and overall more fun to me. Like for instance, on one of the races for the Polyphony Digital Cup, I used a Honda S2000 against the likes of the Acura NSX Type-R and the Nissan Z. That was one heckuva battle I had!!

I will never get tired of either of my two integra type r's (one fully modded n/a, the other turbo). Even though the turbo doesn't really grip until fourth gear, it is still a blast to drive. I also love my rgt and 3400s. They are fast, handle great, what more could you want?

Yes, racing evenly matched cars makes the game more challenging, and thus, more fun. However, my favorite part of the game is racing an F1 car against F1 cars. You can't just say the F1s are bad, because they belong in their group just like everything else. If I were to take a Spoon Civic up agains a group of Miatas, it would be lambs to the slaughter, just like an F1 against Civic Spoons.

Compare and contrast, everything has its home.

By the way ... the 787B is the best car in the game (:

Oh deffinitely, I agree with that and thouroughly enjoy racing the F-1 cars, I was just leaning toward the fact that unmatched racing saps the fun or thrill out of the game.
Cause personally I love flying around in the F-1's, . . .with other F-1's. You can really tear up some track with those. But I was drawn to the series way back in the day on account of I can rig up an everyday ride and race the crap out of it. Ya know, just regular old cars rippin up the track, that's what the draw was for me. No real super cars like Ferrari and Lambo's just normal rides, with almost unlimited tweeking ability.
