I used Kaz's Schulz GT-R and won!
It was edge of your seat driving as I was up against Audi R10's and other strong le mann cars, I managed to get a good lead only because of hours of heavy rain (ran on inters) and gained 30 to 40 sec a lap but when it did stop raining I was losing 30 to 40 sec a lap!

I only just won it, but I really enjoyed using my DFGT with ALL aids OFF and a normal GT500 type car instead of using over powered guaranteed to win car ('cough cough' X2010's)

B: Used an R8 Oreca, got an incredibly slow start due to starting at 100% water... then once it stopped, the car flew by and took it by 3 Laps, only coaching in the rain.

Question, how does the endurance races work? Can you pause them and come back? Do you have to do a certain amount of laps or time before it can be paused? I'm interested, but i can't devote that much time to a race.

You can suspend them when you want. You need to drive into the pits, and click suspend race 👍

Dont use the Bentley as it has unpredictable handling characterisitcs unless you have a really good tune for it.
And if you are unable to drive with the X2010, then go with the Minolta.

Is anyone having problems making tires last in this race? I haven't started the race yet, (well, i keep starting it using different cars, setups, etc., until I find one I like) but RH's are lasting BARELY two laps. Is this normal? I know that with one of the recent updates they changed the tire wear, but something tells me I'm going to have to learn to be a much smoother driver. For instance, I was using the Toyota 7 on RS's and got just BARELY to Fuchsrohre (sp?) on the second lap before the rear tires were completely, undriveably bald. Later on, was driving the Speed 8 with RH's and had to pit every other lap. I'm getting the best (so far) with the Minolta on RM's. I admit I'm not the most consistent driver in the world. Thoughts?

To answer the OP's question: I'm leaning towards the Speed 8 or Audi TDI. Not quite good enough to used the Vettes, Vipers or GT500's (yet!). Agree w/ whoever said above that doing it w/ out aids yields greater pride. I did get gold before (and 24H du Mans) using the Vettal, but having played the game for a little while now it doesn't seem like I even did the race. Hell, at LeMans I even pulled over and sat for a while...thats not racing:tdown:

For fun you may want to look up the thread regarding close finishes in the 24h races -- some good stories there.

I might try the premium Jag XJR-9 when I get the time to tackle the A-Spec Nurb 24hr race. For B-Spec I just use the X2011 and watch my drivers punt the A.I. cars off the track.

I did it with the BMW V12 LMR something, adjust the front and rear downforce, buy the 2° step turbo kit and that's it, well, it worked for me in Le Mans, I still have not reached lvl. 40

Stock or maxed-out? I'm asking because I'm thinking of using that car too for the 24 Hrs.

I like the Honda Mobil 1 NSX (stock) on the ring. Maybe I will try it when I reach level 40 :)

I think it is to slow, but I can give it a try!

Mazda RX-7 LM Race Car.

No mods, RH tyres, around the track it's simply astounding.
I'm Level 39 currently, but that will be the car I use during the real thing.

I just did the 24 hour Nurb with the X2010. Racing soft the whole way, including in the rain. I think it handles better in the rain with racing soft that is does with rain tires. Refuel after every 5 laps (about 1/2 hour). Had a huge lead after 18 hours and just pulled off the side of the track and put on the hand brake until about 23:55 minutes left and still won handily. It still took me a week because I could only race 1-2 hours per day except weekends.

Just wondering has anyone tried this race with a Castrol Toms Supra? Its my favorite car I love the handling but I know it is under powered for this race. Is it do-able?

Nascar :dopey:

No. Really. I would use the GT-One, or the 908.

I would consider a NASCAR (B-Spec..)
A fine tuned one can dominate on the ring, I recently one the B-Spec Nurb 4 Hours in a heavily modified NASCAR, so I know it is theoretically possible.

Just 2 lap stints on tyres, however. :grumpy:

Then it gets dark........ But bob is chuck norris.

Unless he wears night vision goggles..

I think he does,i started the le mans one last year and i gave him the fgt and a couple hours in i realized it goes dark after a while. He even set one of his fastest lap in the middle of the night.

how long does the 24hr endurance actually take ?

Are you asking the amount of laps it takes? If so, it depends on the car. If not, it takes 24 hours, and finishes when you complete your current lap

What cars can win this or the 4hr version that do more then 3 laps on hard tyres b spec or a spec?

Getting 4 laps from the x2011 i'm using at the moment in the 24hr nurb race.

I used the Mercedes Sauber C9 Race Car for both of the 24 hour races. You have to toy with the rear wing downforce some to balance wear and grip. I softened up the suspension for the Nurburing race, but was able to get a lead early on and then maintain that lead for the rest of the race. I widened my lead in the rain as the grip was tip-top in the rain tires. The key is not to pay attention to Strenght and Mental Strength so much and race your bobs till they are running on vapors or bologna skins or both. That way you can keep the drivers as fresh as possible. This is the hardest part when you leave it on auto pilot for the night. Good luck to all.

Just did this event last week with a stock Audi R10 with cockpit view, no HUD, no aids except traction control on 1 dry / 5 wet . By far the best race experience i've had in long time

You don´t need to take a LMP car. I guess the Oppenent cars, skale with the users cars. Why do i think that? Cause i entered it for testing my corvette RM (PP between 630 and 650) and got similar cars to mine, means r8 Lms and some other weaker LM cars like the 350Z.

Had almost none LMPs in the field.
