Best Gran Turismo Intro?

Forgot how good the GT3 intro was, although it's gotta be GT1s opening. I remember seeing that at a friends house and thinking it was amazing for it's graphics and also when the names of the cars came up I thought no other game would have the same amount of cool cars. GT2 brings up happy memories too, I loved those cars

Same here , and I couldn't be bothered to load the game disc to watch it !
The first part of the GT3 intro with the internals of the engine etc. blew my mind when I first saw it , I'd sit through it evey time I played. But having watched the GT1 intro just then , I had to vote for it. Maybe its the nostalgia value having an influence , brought back some great memories.
In order of preference , GT1 , GT3 , GT4 , GT2.

yea bringing back turning your stock cars into race cars would rock & there were a ton of awsome tuner cars but I'd say GT4 just edges it,Slick6

I have to say GT3 intro is the best! Nothing is more sexy then to see the inside off a 3S-GTE egnite in a beautiful Castrol Toms Supra and just hear the roaming from the engine when its started upp! Oh! Im gonna watch that intro now! With my sound system on full! And that inrto to GT3 linked here aint the same! The intro on GT3 here in Norway is so much better!
My ranking:
1st: GT3 (Because off that sexy Supra)
2nd: GT1 (nostalgia and kickass music)
3rd: GT4 (just love the music and when the cars are drivin to starting grid)
4th: GT2 (just good music)
And i gotta say that the versions off the intos over here are much better. Im gonna try to find some links to it.

Back to topic: I think for the music, the GT2 intro is lovely, great music 👍
But the GT1 intro keeps catching my eyes and ears, dunno why, must be a remain of the hours spent on GT1, it's broken now though

My favorite has to be the intro to GT2...it had some vintage footage and the music was pretty cool too. Before that I never actually liked The Cardigans but after that, i turned into a fan.

I thought this was the best thread to say this, well, you know at the very start of the GT1 intro, there is two trees blowing in the wind? Well, I swear to God that must have been recorded in my back garden! Because, if you look out of my back room window at noon, since we have two trees at the bottom of our garden, it looks like an exact re-make of the GT1 intro! I'll try to post pics later, since it only works in the evening

Cd's are old and GT4's intro was the best
The Australia version of the GT3 intro is the same as the European version (PAL of course), and it gets my vote, but it's not on the options list, so GT2 comes a close second and scores my vote.
Absolutely can't beat the slow motion cut-away of the engine in the GT3 intro for best graphics, while GT2 has the best overall feel. The australian/european version of the GT3 intro just gets me pumped though.

GT1 FTW! That sweet calmness at the start reminds me of those days, and the way the music teases you gently following up to that horrific ground breaking take off from the "GTO"(3000GT) how they called it back then

I have to say gran turismo 2... Mainly cause the only ones i've played are gt1 and 2. Hell, i don't even own a playstation 2 hahahahahh. Although i fail to see what gt3 or 4 could give apart from graphical enhancements and more cars over gt2. Hell the spirit of gt comes from the tuning side of it, tuning your car to gain that extra 0.1 of a second. Gt2 does it perfectly, gt3 and 4 probably do it good as well... but till i buy a ps2.... GT2 FOR ZE WIN.
