Best Guitar Solos EverMusic

There are so many good choices here, but one I would like to add to the list:

Creeping Death by Metallica... one of those solos that suit the song from start to finish IMHO.

Another favorite of mine that I've seen in a live setting: Johnny AND Edgar Winter playing Tobacco Road in concert. Just awe inspiring

So many more...

Have a good one!

Absolutely love this. Tune in around the 2:25 mark for a really laidback, fuzzy jazz solo.

Most people don't realise just how good Prince is. Check the solo half way through, mind blowing.

I prefer Alter Bridge’s blackbird, it is the greatest solo ever.

I was watching this and decided it deserved to be in this thread:

5:50 to 6:55

Wow.

I'm a huge Beatles fan and feel George's playing is generally highly underrated, but Prince simply destroyed that song. In a wonderful way befitting of the specialness of the event itself. Even Dhani was impressed. Surely George would have said (Insert liverpool accent) "I could 'av doon with-oot the guitar toss at the end there, but damn that was good Son!"

I know it the thread is called the best guitar solos ever, and that I've already posted one, but I'm going to treat this as a really good solos thread.

Bireli Lagrene, an amazing guitarist.

We need some jazz in here amongst all the rock and whatnot. :P

Arthritis-laden, plays in pain, yet Mick Mars of Motley Crue. Wow.

2:52

2:32

And epic from 2:18.

Pretty much every Crue song has an awesome Mick mars solo.

AC/DC- Thunderstruck
Aerosmith- Sweet Emotion
Black Sabbath- Iron Man
Cream- Crossroads
Led Zeppelin- Heartbreaker (This one's my favorite, no doubt)
Pink Floyd- Comfortably Numb
Van Halen- Eruption
