Agreed. :)

Also agreed.

Wouldnt you rather leave it stock instead of making it a few hundred hp?
I also like the VK and VH SL/E (there was no VH Calais was there?) and seen an original one around is rare today

But I have a couple of pictures from an Aussie Auto Trader which has a VL Calais Turbo wagon in there. Possibly one of the rarest Holdens

what do you mean leave it stock? they had close to 300hp mate.

no, no VH calais.

Stock, plain wrapper sedan? Thats my thing!
I think the best is the Honda Civic Hybrid, because its high tech, green (eco-friendly) and a fuel-miser, Toyota Prius gets the honerable mention. (can't post a pic, too lazy)

If we're talking no hybrids, I'll pick either:
2003 Honda Accord DX
2004 Acura TSX (JDM/Euro Accord)
2003 Mazda 6 i
2003 Subaru Legacy L
2003 Chevrolet Malibu (they say its the best Chevy on the road)
2003 BMW 325i sedan
2003 Hyundai Elantra GLS (for the who are on budget)
2003 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T GLS
and 2003 Honda City (Honda Jazz sedan) [only in Asia]

I agree. I quite like the S-Type. I think the X-Type is a styling low for Jaguar.

As for my nominations, I would have to say that I really like the look of the Madza 6. And I agree with the person that suggested the Dodge Intrepid: best looking mainstream US car by a country mile.

Actually my mom thinks the back S80 looks like a Chinese coffin.
I can't find a pic of a coffin but somebody please attach one if available.

Yeah, except the interiors of the VBs to VLs. They are horrid, especially the VKs square instrument cluster and VHs steering wheel

But I could live with them

I look them all and the interior doesnt both me much except i hate the brown interiors from the VB-VN(1989 and b4) but i guess i could live with it.

Mine are....

And You may scoff, but while it may look different on the outside...

It's gorgeous on the inside.

4th: The 1998-2000 Honda Accord hasn't worn off on me. I still like it, but I don't like the slight facelift change to the grille used from '01-'02 (changed to three slits, larger opening, looks much more generic for some reason).

3rd: The new Mazda 6 looks great; just needs a better name.

2nd: Altezza/IS300. Sharp looking, but small. I wouldn't haul anyone in the back seat unless they were under the age of 10.

1st: S4. Doesn't need much explanation.

I like the new Altima. It's a very acclaimed car. I also like the Lexus IS 300 Sport Cross. A little more pricey than the Altima though.

Youve gotta be joking. That thing looks ****ing horrible IMO. Like a Mondeo on the inside.
The steering wheel looks like its off an EL Falcon

Ahh, TVRKing, I can see where you're coming from with the Scorpio. They are unforgivably ugly, but there's no denying that the interior and the underpinnings are real quality, especially the 24v V6. I don't think I could get past the exterior, although they are going for silly money now.

I sincerely hope that's purely because you don't see them every day. About two years after each big Chrysler sedan re-design (LHS, Concorde, 300M, Intrepid, ex-Eagle Vision) I begin to truly hate the styling and wish death upon it.

Excepting the Eagle Vision, of course - I loved those.

Everybody nominates the Mazda6. So the question, of course, is 'why didn't Mazda do this earlier?' Same goes for the new Altima (Giles, you'd love owning an Altima 3.5 if you like the Intrepid...).

Funny. Mine does, in fact all 4 do. The cars also done 117k in nearly 9 years. And it hasn't broke down

Once.

I think that the main thing I've learned about cars since being on GTP is that US Fords have major production issues that simply do not exist in the UK. Perhaps they should close their factories in Mexico and other slave-labour areas, and contract the building of the cars to people who can actually do it. $/hr certainly changes when you factor in warranty costs...
