That is - without question - the problem, and it doesn't only exist in Mexican Fords. The one I was referring to was an Explorer Sport an old girlfriend of mine once had, which is built alongside the Ranger in Louisville, Kentucky. To be honest, I think that the market in the UK is simply more quality competitive (especially for American companies) than the US market, where (especially in the midwest) brand loyalty often makes the decision between which car to purchase.
