Guys if you don't want to get bored with doing the same races all over again just for the purpose of grinding credits just go to youtube and search for "GT AFK money" or google it. At this point I grinded with this method appr. 45 Mio credits and it's grinding as I'm writing this. With this method I can do the races I actually want and have fun with.

Hitting the blue moon with my best time 3:11.920. Bored with grinding this but at least it’s easy. I hope my dualsense can sustain prolong R3 depress 😅

Im always doing custom races at Nordschleife vs gr1 Cars. If you choose 20 minute endurance Race with fuel consuption 15 or higher, the AI drivers dont drive into pit and Run Out of fuel at the beginning of lap 2. You can even Beat them with a 279pp Car and will gain about 90.000 Credits for 20 minutes

Everyone is aware ;)

Slapping racing softs even further improves my total lap time to 3:06 around blue moon. Crazy fast.
You might not know about pressing L1 driving the Tomahawk. I usually finish the race in 2:51-2:54 (wall riding the first corner included).

You mean you reconfigure L1 as nitrous ? My L1 is rear view camera. That’s a good idea than having to depress R3!! 2:51 is awesome. I think the best I get is 3:06. not sure where can I further improve. Did you have to tune your car as well ?

Damn, you're right. I always forget that I reconfigurated lol. It's way easier as you can look back pulling down the right stick instead of pressing a button.

Sure I tuned the car a bit, especially the gears. In the end it all relies on the first corner, if you can grind through it and hold about 330 km/h, you'll get lap times of 27-28 seconds.

...seems as you've been living under a rock, this whole thread is spinning around methods for grinding, and huge part of it was discussion regarding AFK method/script method and if it legal or not. Scroll few pages back and read it...

It would all be too boring for me, always the same races. For the World GT Series Championship there are 450,000 and you drive about 1 hour. Less so than most other methods, but at least you are driving races... I thought that's what the game was made for.

The upside to this is the practice that you get. Trying to get the clean race bonus is also nice. IF, at some point, the focus shifts back to online racing, this practice will be a benefit.

So far, with the payouts they way they are, and the balance issues, I am finding that Sport mode or online play isn't what it once was. I fear that this is going to ruin the game long term. I mean, you get a car that you want, but then what? It's hard to resist, I get it, but what's the upside benefit beyond the sheer ownership of it?

Ill be all over it when they buff the payout hopefully sometime in the next week or so.

The bop is messed up I don't like it. I don't like that I cant mess with my gears or anything.

My Viper on Nürburgring wont even pull in 6th gear unless its flat or downhill.

The nations cup has tuning in it this time so it seems they are determined to have it in sport mode. Thank god for this.

Now lets hope they get something going where we have a hp weight limit in a classic car racing series that allows us to tune everything else.

I want to be able to race every car I own online in sport mode. End stop.

For me the upside of it are the custom races where I can have all the cars in my garage race against each other...I am specialicing in collecting cars between 1955 and 1985(small cars until 1989), but the cheaper ones ,not the unicorns(the gullwing Benz will be the first car I am getting that cost me more than a million)-and I make custom races with those cars, when I wanna have fun(after I equipped the with some liveries and tuned them so farm that they are approximatly equally strong)...the payout is low,but it is the most fun for me to do with GT7...

Would any of you take a possible ban by Sony to the court? I mean, would it be worth the money and time spent? Whether is legal or not, those companies ban players without giving any chance for us to defend ourselves. Look how Rockstar ban players without further notice. These kind of actions are illegal in many countries, but they don't seem to care about it.
Talking about GT7, I don't think Sony would ban players, but the possibility always exists, unfortunately.

They really should make the payout more.

It's not worth it, nor is it against the law. If you have broken the terms of service, ergo justifying ban, then they are within their rights to ban you. Plus, it's not really on the same level as a human rights violation, Or even an antitrust violation, or even a broad market transgression like copying a CD. It's for a single game, so it would likely never get a court date, even if it were eligible for one.

Nope. If I get banned so be it. Scripting the grind(the method Im using), semi manual with a rubber band, or even manually replaying the same race 1000 times really has no bearing against Sony other than circumventing their mtx and to me isnt worth the time or effort to fight. I would simply drop the game(possibly the series) and never look back. In previous games the grind didnt seem as bad but I also had more time to play when I was younger. Today I just want to pick up the game tune a car for a specific race or event and not worry about my what my time vs payout needs to be to maximize effort for the next car I want. If the payouts were less stingy and more spread out I probably wouldnt be scripting in my off time but until things change, or they make it impossible/start issuing bans, I will run the script and then focus my actual play time on doing the events I want in the cars I would like to do them with.

They have the right to take actions, but we also have the right to defend ourselves, this is a human right. For example, banning people like Rockstar does is illegal. They ban players permanently, erase all data and don't even say the reason for it.
Where I live you can take any case to the court.

As a human rights lawyer, I’m interested to learn which specific human right you believe would be (unlawfully) violated if Sony deem scripting goes against their ToS and decide to ban those who have abused it?

So if you get a ban how far does it go?Is it just from online races/multiplayer,all GT7 content or an outright ban with your profile not being able to access psn?
What happens to your digital games youve bought from the store because surely you wont be able to play any games you own linked to your profile?
If thats the case surely its not worth the risk.

Hopefully it is a hard ban with full deletion and you lose it all. Sony will wipe your existence from their entire ecosystem. /s

I wouldnt worry about it. Buying 100m credits, grinding the credits manually or with a script gives you zero competitive advantage aside from some veiled e-peen status currently. Things could change later if they offer selling online or change how online racing is handled but until then, play the game as you see fit.

Sometimes there's something hidden in the terms of service, for a lot of sites, that pretty much say they can ban people from their services or platforms at their discretion. You can, if you want, take them to court over violation of your rights in some way (unlikely given it's their platform), and maybe get something going but at that point, good luck with legal fees?
