Would any of you take a possible ban by Sony to the court? I mean, would it be worth the money and time spent? Whether is legal or not, those companies ban players without giving any chance for us to defend ourselves. Look how Rockstar ban players without further notice. These kind of actions are illegal in many countries, but they don't seem to care about it.
Talking about GT7, I don't think Sony would ban players, but the possibility always exists, unfortunately.
Well, first off, it can be debated that it's their game, their servers, & therefore, their property. If they don't want you on their servers, arguments can be made they don't have to let you have access. Secondly, if you want a chance to defend yourself, contact them. For a company like Rockstar, they're extremely quick to tell you why you got banned if you send a support ticket.
Hopefully it is a hard ban with full deletion and you lose it all. Sony will wipe your existence from their entire ecosystem. /s

I wouldnt worry about it. Buying 100m credits, grinding the credits manually or with a script gives you zero competitive advantage aside from some veiled e-peen status currently. Things could change later if they offer selling online or change how online racing is handled but until then, play the game as you see fit.
Depends on how PD sees it. As the user above brought up Rockstar, they're quick to give bans if you do something that gains you money than competitive advantage over other players. In their eyes, if you want money quickly, that's why they have Shark Cards. People who perform God Mode glitches, will only experience a ban if enough people report them where as Rockstar has systems in place to watch for money exploits (like Dupe detection). Added to this, Rockstar has been seen in rare cases where they will send out a fix within' 24-48 hours (than the normal, once-a-week update) that corrects the exploit & simultaneously hand out large ban waves. That same God Mode exploit could be available for weeks to months.

Do I think PD is that money-hungry? Not really, but they could be if in their eyes, the scripts are inadvertently messing with their MTX options & they want it removed whilst sending a message to everyone else with a ban wave.

So is it an outright ban from psn or just from online gaming?Jyst curious but it makes no difference to me as i couldnt get the script to work on my ps4 anyway.
I remember the pit lane glitch from GTsport, that was weird.

That is the thing. Currently it gives zero advantage outside of the single player experience. The only person you are "cheating" is yourself and the experience of running whatever race 1000-10000 times to fill your garage. Having all the cars wont help you online or make you a better racer. Could things change later? sure. Could they still ban players? I have little doubt they can. TOS are written specifically to do as they please.

Nobody knows and are currently just speculating. Some hoping for more vindictive measures than others 😜 Honestly Sony/PD can probably do whatever they want. Currently I doubt it matters since it really doesnt affect anyone. If you were doing some sort of script for the online portion then that is a whole different matter as you are effecting others.

That is why I said, it depends on how PD sees it. The fact it doesn't give players an advantage over others may be completely irrelevant to their decision on how to handle it, more so they're seeing players using a way to make their MTX redundant. And unfortunately for us, as consumers, that's when a company can show you just how quickly they can actually address an issue if they feel their bottom line is being affected.
But the chance to defend ourselves has already been long gone. That was my point.
Not really. Companies can reactivate/restore your account if you prove your "innocence".

Gaming companies aren't going to notify you & ask you to explain your account issues beforehand.

Right. I should have read more careful since we seem to be in general agreement. Current payouts seem to be at a level to encourage mtx and I guess it will come down to how prevalent or determined players are to NOT participate in mtx and if that affects the expected profitability of those mtx's vs continued player participation in the future of this game(DLC or otherwise). Banning, IMO, would be pretty extreme when it would make more sense to just curtail or better yet encourage or incentivize player participation in other types mtx that have more tangible value.

Thanks for that,I was just curious thats all.Currently repeating trial mountain cup,set myself a car to buy,run the races until I have the funds.Grinding is grinding but this is a little better for me than bmb,.
Hoping the update drops tomorrow with the payout increase but I might be being too optimistic.lol
Thanks for your time.👍

Well, I'd not count on that. At least where I live, those companies should notify the costumer about it and give time to defense.

That's not how it works with the gaming industry. That's what the ToS is for, for you to acknowledge the developer can handle your account as they see fit.

Just because the ToS says something, it doesn't mean as an absolute rule. Any ToS, contract, whatever deal you do, it has no legal effect if the law or constitution says otherwise.

While that is generally true and in a lot of cases a tos has no real legal standing, fighting it is far more trouble that it's worth for the average person which in effect makes a tos stand, right or wrong unfortunately

Terms of service (also known as terms of use and terms and conditions, commonly abbreviated as TOS or ToS, ToU or T&C) are the legal agreements between a service provider and a person who wants to use that service.
While I agree it is not always 100% binding, in this case, the Terms of Service (esp. for a game backed exclusively by Sony), has absolutely had a legal department that overlooked it & gave it go-ahead. It doesn't help that players also acknowledged they read and agreed with the terms of service; that can be argued against you in court.

If you think the terms were broken by banning you, it is up to you to take them to court and prove Sony/PD broke the terms of service on their end. Otherwise, these things are pretty solid for the most part, some even argue they can terminate you for however they see fit.

Read my post again and you will find the answer.
So let me understand this, just for my clarity. You are willing to spend thousands, even tens of thousands of dollars, or potentially more, in order to fight for your "right" to have access to a game that you paid less than $100 for. This, would come after violating the terms of service, to access a piece of game content that you could normally access through regular game play, without any undue hindrance. A violation you committed simply because you are impatient.

To be clear, I am of the belief that the credit issue is a real and major game flaw, however, I have to admit that, looking at my total game credits to date (13,000,000+), and my stable of over 100 cars (many of them heavily modified), the reason I do not have the most desirable cars to me is that I have spent my money elsewhere.

Given that the game will likely have a 3-5 year life cycle, and it's been out for about 4 weeks.

You can earn 100,000 credits in about 20 minutes. So, you can earn enough to buy any car in about 200 days if you play only 20 minutes a day.

You're going to have a hard time proving that Sony has done you wrong.

I just wanted to say that some actions of banning people are illegal in some countries.

I agree its not worth average person pursuing but I wouldn't trust it as binding.

I've come all kinds of rules/terms of service disputes, where the court found fault with the company, or at least sided with other party, despite it apparently being binding.

Different industry altogether though.

Yes, to avoid more negative publicity, better option for PD, would be to close tge loophole, rather than banning a load of people.

Unless it's a real serious issue at hand, no one comes out looking great from mass bans imo and PD really can't risk further bad press.

Im always doing custom races at Nordschleife vs gr1 Cars. If you choose 20 minute endurance Race with fuel consuption 15 or higher, the AI drivers dont drive into pit and Run Out of fuel at the beginning of lap 2. You can even Beat them with a 279pp Car and will gain about 90.000 Credits for 20 minutes
Is there a huge bonus or something I'm missing? Applied all the settings and its showing 28,170 as the payout

When has this thread turned from money making races to a corporate legal dispute over TOS and user rights??

I want more and different ideas on how to make the credits to buy my cars without using remote play please, is it too hard to stay on the basic subject?
Come on over and join us in the dark side, and get that remote play setup mate. No shame in it

Hitting the blue moon with my best time 3:11.920. Bored with grinding this but at least it’s easy. I hope my dualsense can sustain prolong R3 depress 😅
I got it in under 3mins. You will get it faster by going the first corner against the wall ;) and using the overtake button in straights and the second curve. I remember the time was like 2:57. Also harden the front suspension to the max so it doesnt slip in the second curve

I think Trial Mountain Cup might become an interesting option now. Best car is probably a fully buffed Dodge Tomahawk (obviously the road car variant) on RS. The annoying part is it being a championship so you loose a lot of time loading maps.

2 times 2 laps = 100K Cr. On my beefed up Dodge Hellcat I did laps of 2:15 ish seconds. So that’s 100K Credits in 9 minutes, excluding the loading times. Not sure how much faster a Tomahawk will do it, probably significantly faster since the Hellcat has poor cornering ability (at least with RS and upgrades but else no further tuning).
7 mins guaranteed if you tune the hawk well roughly 895k an hour

Careful on the wall riding, I had been doing that, and I never touched a car nor went off track and still was denied the clean race bunnies bonus

I did the same method. Wall riding on turn 1. The soft tyres also ensure I can flat out on turn 2 and 3 but I come out turn1 wall riding at below 300kmh so it must be something not perfect with my wall riding. So far I manage to bring it down to 3:03 but that’s already my limit 🤷🏼‍♂

So far mine pretty solid on CRB with wall riding unless I accidentally tagged some cars.

You lose the clean race bonus only if you hit other cars or go over track limits. Not from wall riding as long as your left side tires are on the track👍🏻

My best laps were somewhere between 27 and 28 sec. Best first lap somewhat over 31 sec

If you're going to grind, at least grind the truth, sheeple!

If you want that Blue moon bay speed way under 3min. At least harden your front suspension to max and soften the rear suspension down. Then in the first corner you want wall ride without overtake button. Second corner full throttle with overtake. Third corner full throttle without overtake. It wont slip but it will also hit the wall in the third corner a bit. With these settings you can get the laps in under 27 sec so this 2:51 time wasn't even ny best. :)

I am gonna try the above tonight !! That’s for sharing !! Trying to hit best time around blue moon keeps me from going insane. Hehe

My grinding method is to use my fully tuned C7 ZR1 on the 'murican Sunday Cup Daytona Tri-Oval event. It takes me 1:48 to win each race and with the clean race bonus im getting 22,500cr per race. Its so easy too you can do it blindfolded if you want. 😁
