Dawn Of The Dead remake (I was going to say 28 Days Later, but this took it's place.)
Agreed. I love both of those movies, but the "Dawn of the Dead" was slightly more enjoyable for me. "28 Days" I think had one of the best endings in the genre though. I wish I could merge the two to make a perfect zombie flick. :D

Yeah, 28 Days Later was a very underrated film, but it does have a habit of plodding on towards the middle, but the ending is pure gold IMO. My favorite part is the beginning when he wakes up and walks through a deserted London. It's very suspenceful when you first see it. 👍

I DONT HAVE A #1 but these are some of my favorites:
back to future I, II and III
Independence day
school of rock
war of the worlds
the fast and the furious 3

I've just watched "Thirteen days", and damn that's got to be the best political thriller ever. Best movie ever though I couldn't choose.

I saw The Usual Suspects last night, and it was brilliant. Kept you guessing right to the end and more twists than...well, a twisty thing.

The only problem is I knew the big twist before I watched it, so it wasn't as good as it should have been. Still really enjoyed it and would rank it extremely high, however.

Kinda like "Se7en" or "The Sixth Sense". Ending of those movies were absolutely magical the first time.

I can't believe only one other person mentioned Mad Max. It is the best movie ever, it's a fact! (not Road Warrior, or Thunderdome, although they are also decent movies)

That is your opinion, not a fact. I do think it's a respectable choice though. I wouldn't put anyone down for praising the original Mad Max. 👍

That wasn't meant to be taken seriously:sly: But, you have to admit, there aren't too many revenge movies out there that can touch Mad Max. Well, maybe Falling Down, with Kirk Douglas.

Yeah, I realized that after posting my message, and then reading your post again for the second time. :D

Falling Down was bit of a cult classic, but I think Mad Max was leagues better than that. Too bad with Mel Gibson making headlines these days.

Best revenge movie is imo Man on Fire, though Mad Max was great as well.

Leave.

Now.

Dances with wolves was a great film, but I didn't like Waterworld or The postman that much.

I liked Water World but didn't take it all serious. It was really silly, but an interesting fictional story.

I just watched Man on Fire last night. Damn, is this movie great. 👍

It's in my top 10 of all time.

Perhaps a bit late on this thread but.....

My favourite films in no particular order:

Lord of the rings trilogy - A masterpiece

King Kong (Remake) - Fantastic piece of filmaking

Ronin - Massively underrated with some great car chases

Kill Bill Vol's 1 & 2 - Brilliant

Star wars, Return of the jedi and The empire strikes back - Recent 3 didnt do it for me but the originals are classics.

The Shawshank redemption - Utterly superb film

The Shining - Nicholson at his most great

Alien/Predator - Both superb examples of sci-fi suspense

Heat - My vote for the best crime thriller ever made, AND its got DeNiro/Pacino in it.....

Could go on forever and a day, but the ones above are the main ones I keep going back to and never get fed up with.

Star Wars sage without any doubt, I think Episode 3 is just about my fave of them all but I love them all so.

Outside of that, Minority report, Driven, Indiana Jones and Die Hard.

I thought I was the only one who really enjoyed Episode 3? :D

The Star Wars saga sure is great, Billy Madison as well. I could never choose a favourite!
