I voted SSR11, but I would love to see the original Rome back, too. I loved blasting around Rome in my red Evo on the rare gt2 Pizza Hut demo disc, loving that awesome turbo whine that didn't make it to the final game for some reason :(. I would go on that course all of the time, until my sister threw out the disc because of how badly my PS1 scratched it :(. I'm STILL so mad about that! :banghead:

Wow, that demo Is rare? I picked up all 4 of them at a bootsale a few months ago!

lol.. had to look up this PizzaHut demo cause I've never seen it anywhere.. and indeed I found it.

Let me tease you:

Are you sure the turbo whine ended up different in the actual GT2 release??

Seattle was definitely my favorite on that list. Having just recently played GT4 (like a week ago), I forgot how important your setup was on that track with higher horsepower cars. *Hits railroad track at speed, rear end gets squirrel-y* "Oh ****! Oh ****!" And imagine what Seattle would be like with night time as an option? Definitely a fun track.

SSR11 and El Capitan (respectively) are close runner-ups. Well... no It's like... Seattle>SSR11>>>>>El Capitan.

I haven't posted for years but this one triggered my interest.

The one that has always come to mind was Midfield Raceway, but specifically the GT3 version of this track, I think this track was also in GT4 but it really lost it's flow as some of the corners were changed.

Love Complex String and El Capitan. I never liked any of the city tracks personally but I did like Seattle Circuit and can see why it is so popular.

Hmmm... I say yes, Test Course had its own character

I think the GT1/GT2 test course would be a decent addition as it's not as long and boring and has very high speed corner bankings. GT3/GT4's test track is too long and boring -- it's basically a shorter version of SSRX with long straights and limited banking on its corners with too little of a steering angle. It was a nice track to try out your speed in GT3/GT4 but now with SSRX it's useless -- GT1/GT2's track is more of a racing track and would be quite fun.

the best part about the original Test Track and Complex String, is that they'd be very simple to model, they both have absolutely no scenery (though you could easily just throw in a blimp or something) and are on perfectly flat ground (except for that impossible undulating hilly bit on Complex String)

For me, El Capitan is the best PD made up track ever. I never got bored doing the Endurance race in GT4 and finding out just how bad a car I could still win with for 200 A-spec points.

El Capitan has magic scenery and magic places of road for me. It's very unique. Midfield is just classic, but the second most sought after circuit for me is CITTA DI ARIA. The only really narrow track was just magical for me. Moving around it like an elephant in porcelain was just so good experience for me...

ah yes Citta di Aria, driving around there in a Cizeta V16T or Dodge Ram was martyrdom... Still loved the track, had a great flow and was an excellent challenge, very much unlike London

Very tough question. If I need to list a top 3 it would be:

1. Citta Di Aria
2. Midfield
3. Seattle

So voted Midfield as the first one was not in the poll :)

I miss El Capitan, Midfield Raceway, The Super Speedway (Even though it's just a bootleg Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway), Tahiti Circuit and Red Rock Valley Speedway dearly, but Special Stage Route 11 got my vote.

Citta was great, but do you remember Costa di Amalfi?

1. Citta
2. Costa
3. Tahiti Road

(Midfield and Seattle are like my 4 and 5:cheers:)

Costa Di Amalfi was nice as well but for some reason I didn't enjoy it as much as Citta.

Not that the races on Midfield were that memorable, but I really like the flow it has and I think it would be a very fun track to race online.

Really? Yeah, they were only given with certain Pizza Hut orders for around a month, sometime in 1998 or '99. It also contains alot of hidden evidence of things that were supposed to be in the final GT2, including things hinting that SSR11 was supposed to be in the game, as Xenn found in his awesome "Searching for Evidence of Hidden Things" thread!

El Capitan. But Seattle, Midfield, Citta, Costa and Tahiti are all extremely close runner-ups.

I kinda just enjoyed costa for the scenery and the two massive jumps
