I haven't had a chance to play Shift 2 lately until last weekend but was determined to use manual shift for the first time and SPA was my test track, I know SPA is a lot of racers favorite track and I'm curious what everybody's best unrestricted non cheating Autolog time is so I'll know how much I need to improve :)

I don't have my time in unrestricted super Works Tuned car like Veyron or Huraya / Zonda R. But i do have my best lap time in stock SLS. No tune Allowed for this round of WTC. You could try this for start because you don't have to tune your car, no one could. Just pick a car and drive 👍 Then see where you are on leader-board.

Off course that too, i was doing my Zolder lap times and tune and completely forgot about that.

Just to prove my lap, before I'll beat it with Porsche GT3 RS

Oh, I might just try that GT3 career race at Spa today and video it.

Of course the problem is that when you're filming you ALWAYS roll the bloody car on the last bend or make an arse of yourself somewhere else....so might take one or two attempts. :lol:

If only I hadn't broken the damned upshift paddle on my MS wheel, I'd still have a choice.:grumpy:

I'm assuming faster times can be had in manual.

I know all to well about Steve's lap times since they are usually number 1 on my autolog. But I have pulled within one second of his SPA lap time since I switched to manual and have gotten use to my G27 wheel. Funny thing is I use to be very confident racing Steve at SPA and then one day I think he had enough and got serious and learned the track inside and out and he's been a handful to catch every since.

I had trouble breaking the 2:00 barrier using Automatic but after learning the shift points of SPA I'm down to 1:59.2 and should be a bit lower in the near future. If you ever get a chance try to race unrestricted and see if you can break the 2:00 mark, I know you love a good challenge :)

I would if game didn't freeze on me in the most crucial moments :/ Because of that I've decided to focus on platinum trophy and jump into Formula 1 2010 game. With the exception of going back if SMS will release any patch that fixes at least that issue.
 
I had to have a quick run round Spa, since it's F1 there this weekend. :)

Dammit, I forgot to change gearing from street to GP though, so no top end on the straights. :irked:

AI set to medium, traction control low, MS wheel.

Edited to add, that after correcting gearing I managed a 2.08 in the Apollo...not good, but good for me. lol!

Save ghost replay, and save them to autolog is the only way i know. But then you can't really see the real drive but replay. It's different.

grahamw56 you want to switch OFF Traction Control and Stability Control. It looks really bad on real time video. And makes your lap time worse by make your car slower. Except that, you have good "R" lines 👍
 
Hi Steve.

Yes, you need to upload to youtube first (I just record from my digicam).

Then you need the correct link for here....may have to experiment a bit at first, but you start off with the link from 'share' just below the playback screen on youtube, then use the shortest version of that (miss off http and 'youtube' etc..just the set of letters and numbers, if any, at the end)

Paste on here and use the youtube button on here to wrap it each end.

If a screen comes up on preview...you got it right. lol!

Thanks for your input and advice. As a newbie I really appreciate it. 👍

I'll try without traction control to get better times, as I have no problems with that.

Without stability control though, on my MS wheel it just makes any car virtually uncontrollable (constant yawing), so for the sake of a second or two I'm just stuck with it.

I did try a couple of races online again today. Hadn't bothered for a couple of months because of all the idiots on there.

I won by a mile at London River too, with my Apollo and its special 'London River' tuning by 'you know who'. :lol:

Also did well at short Monza with my ZO6 and its long gearing, against theoretically better cars.

Odd how the vid runs slow at the start though.

Sadly I don't have the Murci because I left it too long before I realised you needed to use the promo code to get it. :ouch:

I have everything off but Steering assist, for some reason I just can't hardly drive down the straights or take the perfect line into the corners with it off :guilty: But I do like taking corners with the assist off, turns much better.


Damn! Your time is down to 158.2 :nervous: I liked the 158.5 better :lol: Those tenths of a second are getting hard to shave off for me, I'll try the new tune next weekend :)

The thing is that without any assists like TC and SC you can control your car in every way. I don't use them except ABS because my foot is never handy with brake :) I can control my car without problems like you have. I use G27, manual gearbox, sometimes gearshift but mostly gear paddles. And off course hood view. Somehow i like that view and gives me better feeling than other views.

How i could get this lambo lp 640? I could beat that lap time but i don't have that car in my game car lot :confused: There is only GT3 car

Hey ricky, im on elite no assits. I think you will find the new tune a lot more stable on this track now.. Please people post your Spa lap times and vids if poss.

To get the Lambo LP640 you had to use a redeem code soon after buying the game.

I did not realise this, so no Lambo for me either. :irked:

Oh, and count me in for Spa times and videos (which in my case will be rubbish :lol:) as I love that track.

On the assists, my damaged MS wheel limits me to auto trans, so that I feel is the biggest limiter for me...particularly on street circuits....which I really like to race.

Thanks, but i used my own code and didn't get any new extra cars. After i enter my code some add on was downloaded but when i start the game i could not see any difference. No extra LP 640 in my garage and i Car Lot :/
