2.16 with the MC12 GT1 in a race this evening.
Don't know whether that's good bad or indifferent, but I won against what seemed like some reasonable drivers.
1. Take the clean sheet of paper and a pen/pencil.
2. Go to Time Trial, set 20 minutes.
3. Pick your car, no rivals just you on track.
4. Drive as fast as you can through this time, DO NOT QUIT !!! Finish entire session. This don't has to be that long, you could set for 15 or even 10 minutes. But finish your session!
5. When you're done, you will see your laps, and split times. Write down your Best Lap time and this is important! Write down ONLY BEST SPLIT TIMES.
6.1. It may happen that best first split time would be in third lap.
6.2. It may happen that best second split time would be in fifth lap.
6.3. It may happen that best third best split time would be in first lap.
It should look like this. First and second best split time is accidently on third lap. But then last best split time is on fifth lap
Write them down on your paper, and take simple calculator. Add them together. (
37.770 + 59.091 + 44.413) You may get this kind of of result. 141,
274 That means if you could join those best split times together in one lap, then your result would be much quicker than your best lap time which is
2:21.508*
(Porsche GT3 RS 1493, no turbo). But you could do 2:21.
274
From now on, every time you do another session, try to find quicker split time and cross the old one. Re-calculate new result and you will know what you are capable on this track. What could be really done with this car.
This is insanely hard to beat all your best split times in one fast lap. Even the smallest mistake in one corner may cost you. But it's not impossible
I'll hope this helps a little to improve your practice a little. Every time I'm tunning my cars i use this method to find out what is my goal. And when i finally see on paper, the lap i would be happy with, then there is full time attack in time trial.
