The Ford Pinto was laughed at in brazil when it was released. Pinto is Brazilian slang for a small penis.

S500, S800, S2000....

I also don't like the MP4-12C, numbers do not equal a proper name.


I think that the Viper is an example of a great name, short and aggressive.

Wait what?

If for worst, then it can't really helped as almost every bike is like that. A XYZ-R as it's known.

But the 400 does have 2 points that override the name, 1 is that the frame is called the "Genesis", which is pretty cool.
And the other is that the sound of it will drown out anything anybody says, the sweet, glorious, 14k sound...

Yeah i know, i was just pulling your chain... the sense of irony from your post about numbers not equaling a proper name, was just too much to resist.

For the record i think i disagree, car names like the F40, Seven, 240Z, 911 etc.. Great names in my opinion.
Never have been keen of the Viper name though, i think it can be a bit cheesy naming cars after reptiles/animals... just my opinion, (i know others will disagree).

14k sounds is way cool though, i agree with that. 👍

Ah ok.

I do agree with you on all of those examples, but the "MP4-12C" is just too much.
It doesn't roll of the tongue like the F50 does, or the F1.

And yeah, first time I revved her up I was bouncing up and down from giddiness, that slip-on does wonders...

Edit: The Vanquish is an awesome name. And the Zonda is pretty cool too.
