I honestly don't know what makes the Oppressor so good. One of my friends let me try theirs some time ago and I didn't find it to be much fun.

I love flying around in my oppressor. I think it is an acquired taste though. You have to fly it around and learn its nuances. I use it to skip around quickly when handling MC business. Once I figured out that you only need to momentarily skim the ground to build boost it changed the way I used it. Now I usually stay very close to the ground and skim along. its pretty fun going first person and gliding down mountain faces too.

I skim across rooftops if I can. Most of the time it works, sometimes I crash onto the rooftop, crash off the rooftop, or just die lol. Going across mountains can get tricky, some of the ridges will knock you off the Oppressor, then you chase it 1/2 way down the slope.

Knowing my luck, I would probably crash into an air conditioning unit or some other prop that didn't load in until I plowed into it.

I've not crashed my oppressor into uploaded entities, but I have crashed my buzzard and besra like that. The worst is crashing the oppressor somewhere you can't get back up too like a roof.
Hilariously, I cloths lined myself on a light pole yesterday and spun around it twice by my neck! Also. If you spawn or land a heli under a traffic lights horizontal pole, with the tail under it, the tail will catch the pole as the heli lifts and will loop right around. Fun when I figured that out on accident

You know you've done your job against the AFK killing APC goon when he sends muggers and Mercenaries after you. Also, apparently starting a playlist and then immediately quitting ends the Mercs chasing you.

Entering any property you own will cease the Merryweather pursuers as well. They're weak anyway, so if you want to bite the soap just fight them off and text the sender asking if he is looking for a Merryweather Jeep as you now have several available.

Oh lord. I joined a session not too long ago and was instantly met with 14 people all in jets going after one person not in a jet. Before I became a victim myself, I left and found a new session. Since then its been pretty peaceful by GTA standards.

Are you still on the 3? If you are, that honestly would be a sight to behold because I figured that party would literally get blown up by a modder before that happened.

I would have loved to see that too. Never thought I'd even hear of such a lobby happening in today's Past Gen GTAO.
It was pretty interesting while it lasted. I spawned near the Eclipse Towers, and two or three jets flew overhead. I immediately went into Passive mode, ran for cover and pulled up the map. I saw a white dot in Sandy Shores with jets headed straight for it from almost every way. I exited the map and saw that the player had been killed, then I left. Given the amount of jets, I wouldn't be surprised if the victim wasn't a modder, otherwise there probably wouldn't have been so many. :indiff:

During a lobby earlier there was a griefer in a Lazer but eventually he died and lost his jet. I decided to get my own jet to try to patrol the skies in case he came back, but he never did. However I got bored and started flying really low above the highway. All of a sudden a tank truck glitched or something and appeared standing straight up in the air out of nowhere. I couldn't pull up in time so I ended up flying right into the tanker and blew up right as another player was driving below. Both of us burst out in laughter over it and carried on.:lol:

The worst people I‘ve come across so far after 2 weeks of playing are those who either shot you like 5 times in a row after you respawn and those who kill all others after a done mission and the people participated spawn in a single spot.
Also people who die driving to the spot of a mission or during the easiest task or leave in the last part of the mission are driving me crazy :D

But I guess those are just regular things and nothing special..

I had a mildly interesting session tonight. It started off with me spawning near the beach and I see a player in a jet completely stationary not too far away. I made my way over to the helipad and flew over to see what was going on. I couldn't find the jet anywhere despite being right on top of it on the map, until I looked down. I saw a missile shooting out of the Maze Bank arena and knew right away he was somehow inside of it in a fighter jet. This explained why he hadn't tried to shoot me down at all or even point the jet in my direction, so I got back in the helicopter and flew away.

Not long after I was back on foot and really bored, so I made my way to Sandy Shores for a Cargobob. I picked up my car with the hook and flew it over the city. As I was ascending higher, a blue Karuma flew up to my car and blew it up and almost took the helicopter with it. Obviously this was a hacker so I immediately found a new session to avoid any further problems and tried again to fly my car over the city with the Cargobob. The plan was just simply to see what would happen and what kind of damage would be caused if I dropped the car from very high up in the sky. The answer was not much at all, but in a wild stroke of amazing luck another player I guess got crushed by my car, because the game said I killed him and I got a wanted level.

After that we got in a bit of a battle until he joined a job. So then I was driving around toward the one LS Customs shop to get my car fixed. My good luck was over though, because I caught air on the entrance and the bottom of my car skidded across the top of a parked car, which kept me in the air longer. Of course there was another player right in my cars path and since I couldn't stop or control the car because it was still in the air, I laid on the horn and held down both the brake and the emergency brake to try to stop as quickly as I could and avoid hitting the player or at least get him out of the way. He was staring my car right in the headlight when it landed right on top of him, resulting in his death. And because my luck at that moment wasn't bad enough, he screamed "🤬 YOU!!!" on the mic and started chasing me and trying every possible thing he could to kill me. And he did. About 25 times.

After another player joined in on our battle I finally had an escape route and took it. I went over to Sandy Shores again and hid my car, and went over to the airstrip. Someone else had joined me and we went flying around. After landing at McKenzie field, the two of us were just messing around but they sent me about 10 messages all in Spanish. I couldn't understand any of them so I ignored them. It had been 15 minutes since my last contact with the previous player, until I exited the menu. A Hydra came out of nowhere along with someone on the ground for back up. I immediately went into Passive Mode and hid in the hangar. The returning player in the jet crashed out of my sight but somehow I got credited with killing him even though I never touched him let alone tried to. I stayed in Passive and I tried to run away on foot only to get chased down. Luckily I was able to tuck in between two parts of a building that a car couldn't fit in, and then my co-pilot went after the other two players with guns and explosives like there was no tomorrow. I had yet another chance to escape so I took it. I tried to fly away in a helicopter but got shot down. After I respawned I still had an escape window so I tried again. It worked as I swam across the Alamo Sea with my friend behind me and the other two getting held up. I fired up a plane and booked it out of there with the friendly player, and landed at LSIA. From there I went to the hangar on the southern most edge of the airport that has stairs behind it leading up to an inside area, where the two of us hid and fooled around. One of the enemy players left the session and the other got caught up with a couple of enemies of his own. Other than my friend and I and the remaining player from McKenzie field, there was only two others in the session so I left.

In Story Mode I drove around as Michael for a bit and had probably the funniest death in GTA history, at least to me. As I was speeding in traffic near train tracks, I hit a car. Michael got launched out of his cars windshield and flew head first into the nose of an oncoming train. Yes this last bit was in Story Mode but it was just to great for me not to share.:lol::lol:

It's great when you finish a heist with friends and have the game place you all into different servers. Spawned me in next to someone with a Vigilante.... Of course, first thing for them was trying to shoot me and I really didn't want any of that whilst trying to rejoin my friends, so I went into passive. As a result, they found it worthy of typing out as many insults as possible towards me as I went passive. Sure...they can go ahead and get angry if I had been battling with them for a while, then went passive. But I really didn't want to bother with anything after being pushed into a random server after a heist. (Really wish the game didn't do that)

I'll admit though...GTA Online isn't for me. I really don't find much joy in trying to mind your own business whilst having other players trying to murder you. I enjoy it for the co-op heists and adversary modes with friends, but just trying to catch up with your friends in free roam and getting blown up by missiles or getting mowed down after spawning in, isn't fun. Unfortunately my friends always want to play in a public freeroam rather than a private one....

I play on PC as well, so modders kill the fun as well when they have the ability to kill everyone in freeroam with one button.

Edit: Also not fun when people leave proximity mines at the store entrance when you're about to leave.

Basically I've learned to accept that in the world of GTA online, you either get killed by a :censored:head or live long enough to become one. :indiff:

Yeah...it's not really appealing to me. I enjoy co-op games more, but my friends enjoy the "excitement" of not knowing what could happen in a freeroam game. (Of course, they're really into PUBG now. I don't find it appealing myself) Definitely not a fan of the new heist setup missions with you being in freeroam whilst other players can kill you at any moment.

So this morning I woke up and took a shower to wash the blood stains off, grabbed a swig off off the whisker on the way out the door and hop into my Faction. Smooth ride, and I light a cigarette as Roundabout comes on the radio. A few lights later, someone behind tries inching up looking to put a couple scratches in my pristine rear quarter. Of course, I didn't have my AP pistol, so I let it slide. Radio Ga Ga slides into the next timeslot on the radio, which brings some brightness back to my commute. Shortly thereafter I arrive at my office, where I am perplexed when my assistant doesn't have any leads on new high end vehicles to steal. I walk over to the counter and find my bottle of gin is missing, only to be replaced with a keurig! Then I notice the counter top. Who replaced my marble with this cheap formica? Then I realised I was at work, this was my real office, this is real life, and perhaps I should check my voicemail.

Was helping @JeepXJFreak with resupplying his bunker yesterday when we spotted a random join our seemingly private lobby. First thing he does is get his jetpack and head straight for us so naturally we go on alert and get ready to shoot him down. I get out my homing launcher and lock on, but not firing until he does. He then lands right next to me, and then stands next to his jetpack for about a minute with me still aiming right at him. Then he jumps on his jetpack and immediately fires a missile at my Tailgater, blowing me up with it. He then flees towards the city with us in our Savage & Akula in hot pursuit. He then uses the jetpack's missiles to take down my Savage before I can get a chance to kill him. So while @JeepXJFreak is sneaking up on him in stealth mode, I hijacked a Baller to try and get his attention by driving slowly up the incline in a position where he can see me but not kill me.

After the Akula shows up he then flies over to Chiliad so I recall my Savage, while @JeepXJFreak tries to ram him with the Avenger, and I kill him twice before he can take my Savage down again. Now we're both stranded on Chiliad so I get in Jeep's Avenger and get on the gun to try and kill him with him in a CEO Buzzard. After a 10 minute chase into LS the Avenger had taken some heavy hits so we retreated to Vespucci Beach where I called in my Swift to get us out of the city. I drop off Jeep at his bunker and then draw away the attention of another player in a jetpack. I manage to evade 5 of his missiles before being taken down and kill his friend who tried running me over in a Riata.

I then call in my Tailgater and make a break for the city with an Oppressor and jetpack in hot pursuit. I managed to use some buildings to block the missiles and went off radar for enough time for me to make it into the sewers. When they turned their attention to another player I rushed out and got to my MOC. Of course they come back for me again and fire about 15-20 missiles at my truck before I manage to escape back into the subway tunnels. They were waiting at the exit of the tunnel but I managed to run over the Oppressor and blow it up before he can fire another missile. My MOC had sustained some significant damage at this point so I got my Tailgater again and returned the MOC to storage. They seemed to leave me alone for a while, until about 20 minutes later when one of them actually asked if I wanted to "drag race" them. Ended up leaving the session after that as there was 18 people at that point.

Not mine but my nephew's experiences:

Best: I hear an npc yell "You 🤬 wanker!"
Me: "What did you do?"
Him: "...I stole his prius."
*cue much laughter*

Worst: randoms joined his lobby and vote to kick him even though he was minding his own business. When that doesn't work, said random proceeds to blow him up. I 🤬 hate randumbs.

A text book classic on the 3: (my brother's story)

My brother is playing with my crew leader (a modder, but referring to him as crew leader in this story since he actually is my crew leader as well).
Modded account douchebag comes into the lobby.
Modded account douchebag goes near the roof my brother and crew leader are on and beings rocketing the roof.
Modded account douchebag does modded account douchebag things.
Douchebag gets butthurt that he's dying and calls in his modder.
Douchebag's modder takes my brother's guns and blows up the lobby.
Douchebag's modder repeatedly blows up my brother for killing douchebag.
Douchebag's modder gets removed from the lobby.
Crew leader takes douhebag's guns and starts blowing him up.
Douchebag calls crew leader a pussy modder for blowing up douchebag.
Crew leader calls out douchebag for douchebag's modder taking everyone's guns and blowing up the lobby.
Crew leader takes douchebag's stats and kicks him out of the lobby.

No matter how often I play on the 3, I always laugh at how dumb some of these people are. That guy was totally fine with his modder ruining the lobby but didn't like being killed by a modder himself. Mind you, half the people in that lobby were literally on their own doing nothing and avoiding all combat. Maybe next time he will think twice before cheating since he learned that being an ass does have consequences.

Best for me: I was speeding through traffic on a bike and nailed an NPC. I go flying off the bike and get hit in midair by another one, which was a Sandking. I landed in the bed of said Sandking.

In a different lobby after a disconnection, someone was flying extremely low to the ground with a Hydra. I was speeding toward him but not intending to attack him in my T20. Since it was on a beach with a lot of rocks, my typical luck took over and I hit a rock. I got launched into the air right in front of the Hydra and got blown up. If it wasn't for me hitting that rock I probably wouldn't have been killed, but I couldn't stop laughing at it.

Worst: I got a friend request from someone with a username that sounded familiar from here. I waited a few days before adding them, but I guess that was a mistake. I was in the middle of stealing a plane and got blown up. It ended up being that same person, but I just figured it was just a way of saying a friendly hello. It wasn't. After I respawned his blip didn't have the blue and white circle around it anymore, and I found that he was absent from my PSN friends list. They killed me again so I went into Passive, but they started repeatedly killing me with their Buzzard using the blades. As I kept running away on foot looking for shelter, I kept getting chopped up and killed. At this point I felt that it had crossed over into griefing and decided to leave the session. I still had to find a way to escape the player since he was right on top of me. I'd end up being killed before I could leave, so it was useless to try without taking shelter. Finally I took cover in a store only for the other player to rob it and get us both a wanted level. I called Lester to get rid of it and as the player was getting killed by the cops, I finally had enough time to leave so I did.

I mean, if you're gonna add me as a friend on PSN don't be like this guy. Once or twice is fine but if you show that your sole mission is to kill me as much as you possibly can and not even give me the slightest chance of fighting back, I'm leaving the session and not joining you again on GTA for a while if not completely deleting you from my friends list if you're bad enough. There is a difference between a battle between two or more friends and griefing. Obviously if it's more than just a friendly battle I won't bother to put up with it.

My friend last night received an in game message saying that people were voting to remove him, and he was just sitting in his bunker. Never could understand that :boggled:

It's all the rage these days. It's how people who don't know/are lazy get 'private' public sessions. One of your buds gets dropped into a session with only a player or two. Invite the pals and let them vote kick the original player or two in the room. Bang.

Happens to me in the rare instance I get randoms when I'm alone. Of course, because I can have another solo public room in 45 seconds; I'm more than happy to just 'find new session' anyway. :)

As someone who’s been on the wrong end of said abuse of the kick vote, I’ve got a decent theory as to why.

In the times it’s happened to me, it’s usually when I’m in a solo public lobby and then two people from the same crew drop in, it’s basically them abusing the system to get a lobby to themselves. :irked:

In all cases I’ve reported them for abusing the kick vote option.

But if it’s only one person trying to do it and you happen to be in a free mode event like I&E delivery, it has to wait until it ends for it to kick you so I recommend in that case to vote kick that one person and cause a vote deadlock.

The game can’t pick a person to be kicked if the vote is deadlocked between 2 people. :mischievous:
