My point about the trophies was you said he wants you to play once. I know he said that and remember it from Heavy Rain. He says he wants you to play once but his trophies say you should find every possible ending. If he truly wanted us to do it once then he should have done trophies like The Walking Dead.

The whole reason I brought up a sequel, however, is because the ending completely sets up a sequel. A sequel with Zoey, but still a sequel.

Chronological order would be interesting.

That depends entirely on which ending you chose. Only two endings would set that up as far as I can tell.

I will PM you because I don't want to spoil everything.

Edit: you are right, not all set-up Zoey. I will still PM what I thought.

i must say i enjoyed this game a lot more when doing the game in chronological order. I'm a bit sad that the game isnt getting more praise just because they went first year art student on it and decided to Tarantino it up.

Also I was really blown away by Ellen Page acting. I might be late to the party(but I've only seen Hard Candy(scarred for life:() and Inception), but i'm gonna go on Ellen Page binge now.

p.s.: Dafoe is also great but i was always a fan of him. If you liked the game definitely check out Dafoe's "The Hunter." It's exactly like the game - not much happening, fantastic visuals, great acting, a quality of noir.

Gamers appear to be highly fickle these days ;) I seem to remember Heavy Rain didn't do as well as people expected either.

If you've seen Hard Candy, then that's one of her seminal films - Juno though is definitely a great one and is a lot less scarring.

So my eldest @PlanetPurple really wanted Beyond: Two Souls and bought it with some of the money she got for Christmas. As it doesn't seem to have been played all that much, I thought I'd give it a bash - I don't like games to sit on shelves unplayed (I've even played through LEGO Harry Potter that someone bought her, despite my well-known loathing for anything Joanne Rowling vomits up).

After a full playthrough, my review is simply: The worst film I've ever played.

I ended up getting a free 7 day trial of PS Now of PS4 to play ICO again, & added a few other games to my list including Beyond Two Souls. While I don't consider myself to be a gamer, I do try out the odd game here & there that sounds different enough to arouse my interest.

I really liked the story, although it slowed down to a crawl in places, but I loved the cinematic feel. It plays out like an interactive CGI movie rather than a conventional game though, which I didn't mind. The controls were what let it down for me. Talk about an unintuitive, user unfriendly, incohesive mess of seemingly randon button mashing. Overall it's an innovative game, & while I really enjoyed the story, the gameplay was frustrating at times due to it's poor design.

I'm looing forward to QD's next game Detroit Becoming Human.

:)

I finished it and didn't think it was nearly as good as Heavy Rain, despite its all-star cast. I didn't think the story was particularly good. The most interesting thing for me is that I have the same name as the ghost brother thing. Maybe I just like murder mysteries more than this paranormal stuff. I have Indigo Prophecy and it didn't hold my attention enough to finish it.

Therein lies the clue, it's the reason why I didn't bother with playing Red Dead Redemption as I find anything Western based to be tedious. Detective stories aren't really my thing either, which is probably why I haven't played Heavy Rain despite it being in the collection. Beyond Two Souls though I did enjoy precisely because I enjoy the otherworldly aspects of it.

I love detective stories, so Heavy Rain is one of my favorite games of all time. I also really like LA Noire. I don't particularly like Westerns either, but I quite enjoyed Red Dead Redemption.

I ended up getting into Beyond Two Souls in a rather big way, & played it through 3 times in 7 days. After setting the controls to the easy option, & figuring them out some more, they became quite smooth to use. I love Sci-Fi & like Supernatural stuff, so the combo in this game was right up my street. I've ordered the PS3 version & will be playing it again using my tablet as a controller via the Beyond Touch app (might get the PS4 version too if it ever goes on sale). I have to say that this was the best gaming experience of my life, & it's become my favourite game of all time.

If you like these cinematic butterfly effect games, check out Until Dawn on the PS4.

:D

The remastered PS4 version of Beyond Two Souls is on sale on the PS Store with 60% off at just £9.99 (even less for PS Plus members at £7.49). I'm buying, anyone else? Played BTS through another 3 times on the PS3, & loved it. Although, the Beyond Touch app for my tablet was not that great to use. Gave up after a few chapters & went back to the DS3.

:)

I just found out recently that this game was remastered for PC almost two years ago. It still looks pretty good, and great in 4K60 on PC. If you haven't tried it, it's somewhat of a hidden gem now.
