I just Googled (actually, it was more like Wikipedia-ed) "Logan Act", so my knowledge is literally limited to what I learned in the past three minutes, but the Logan Act prevents people who are not authorised to negotiate with foreign governments from negotiating with foreign governments. It is basically designed to stop people who are not part of the government from setting foreign policy. Considering that the Bilderberg meetings have been going on for the past sixty years and nobody how has attenend has ever been charged with treason (or anything else for that matter, since violating the Logan Act is not considered to be treason), I don't think the US government is going to object to it this time. Especially since most of the members of the Bilderberg Group represent business, and not politics.

By your logic, anyone who disagreed with SOPA was guilty of treason. So next time, how about you actually research when you're talking about first?

Wrong. It is the same. So called "politicians" are members of it all the time, so how about YOU make your research first before talking?

That's not funny.

Yes it is. Conspiracy theorists are hillarious.

Anyway, Swedish city minister (prime minister) Fredrik Reinfeldt has been invited to at least one Bilderberg meeting. So there is politicians in it as well.

So who are you exactly for laughing at people, who are risking their lives at times to educate you on truly meaningful manners concerning the world and everyones lifes (inlcuding yours). I wish I could say it, but I'm not allowed to.

Haven't we had a conversation about this before over PM? If it wasn't you then I'd like to inform you that I do read conspiracy theories and think there's a good point to them in general. There are reasons for suspicion when it comes to a lot of things, bilderberg group included.

That said, conspiracy theories tend to be filled to the brim with silly, completely unfounded crap, and conspiracy theorists tend to be sensationalist, over paranoid looney tunes, rarely questioning their own beliefs. Now this is a great shame as it overshadows the genuinely good stuff.

Question everything is the philosophy, yet it is very often forgotten when it comes to the conspiracy theories themselves.

Ps. Maybe I should have expressed myself more carefully. It did make me seem like a bit of an ass.

If you want to be taken seriously stop acting like a smart-ass and acting as if ALL conspiracy theorists are looneys, they are there because there ARE conpirators, and actually quite a lot of them.

I never said that all conspiracy theorists are looneys. The most famous certainly are though, and make money from it.

Yes, that's why the looneys needs to be sorted out! Because they take away the focus from the genuinely good stuff. It's thanks to people like for example David Icke that conspiracy theories have the low reputation it has amongst the general public.

You acted as if. I know you didn't say it. While Icke has some seriously crazy ideas, many of his ideas are simply right and great, he is very intelligent. But yes, some of his ideas are pretty out there.

I could probably have expressed myself better. But it's something I feel strongly about.

Undoubtely, but his crazy ideas are doing the whole "movement" (don't know if that is an appropriate term) a huge diservice.

If I open a restaurant, I'm going to make a super expensive sandwich with a secret sauce. The Bilderburger.

Screw that, Omnis...I'm building a better one, called the BuildaBetterBurger, which is better because it has butter. You can hear the Brandenburg Concerto when you take a bite of our better burgers, but then we'd eventually have to cartel ourselves and join forces with Logan's Roadhouse, but the public could never find out, but in reality, we're all pals at the same yacht club, even though our advertising says we're like mortal enemies that accused the others of serving of rat droppings and deep frying children.

Infowar defense system, engaged.

Everything sounds like a conspiracy theory to everyone, because people can't be bothered looking into something that could show them a reality they thought doesn't exist.
