Bit of a problem on GTA3

Well it seems there's something wrong with the game.

The game now has me in a loop, only able to do one mission. The last successful mission was 'Rumble' where you and an associate have to go beat up some rival drug dealers; no cars or guns, just bats. I completed the mission, saved the game, started the next mission, only to find that it was a repeat of the car bomb mission (which was just two missions ago). I played it out, saved on a different file, and took the next mission, which was the same thing. It does it over and over. There's no place else to go (only one phone is ringing) and there are no icons of people to see.

What should I do...besides randomly kill people.

Anyone else have this problem?

It takes you to that mission to try and improve your time. Problem solved.

Yeah, same thing happened to me.. I think its just some kind of glitch... It sucks.

haha... did you do the 'catalina' mission? that was the 'last' mission.

I'll try to keep doing it, but it gets damn boring.

It's not like I run out of time, or even cut it close. I can get the car to the bomb shop with about 2 minutes to spare.

What kind of 'improvement' should be looking for; overall time, time to the bomb shop?

Once the phone icon disappears from your map, you're done those phone missions. The phones keep ringing to allow you to improve on your mission times.

All of my missions have not been completed according to the stats page.

The last non-phone mission I had was the 'Decoy' mission for Love. I went back to his place (after completing the mission and saving the game) and it said he had dissapeared. There was an open box/chest on a wall. Then my character walked out of the building and nothing happened.

What should I do? Try and find him?

Just keep doing the missions available - he's gone. I take it you've completed all of the story mode missions (i.e. you've done the rescue on Staunton Island).

4WD missions also count to the mission total.

So if he has had the Love disappearance that means he should now be up to the final mission for Catalina...

Then he'll be at Bait for Asuka. The Exchange doesn't come up until after S.A.M.

And explain the Catalina Mission...roughly.

Exchange- That b!tch Catalina double crosses you again and orders the Colombian scumbags to kill you. Objective: rescue Maria and kill Catalina.

4WD missions:

Those missions where when you enter a car, you have to go through all of the checkpoints. E.g. In the park by the 2nd hidehout, there's a jeep by the 'pond'. Go in it, pass the mission, and your % will increase.

There's 4 - the Patriot at the supermarket on Portland, the Landstalker near the basketball courts in the park on Staunton Island, the Landstalker in the park (I think where the mass brawl mission is) on Shoreside Vale, and there's a mission on the multi-level carpark with the Mustang look-alike (forget the name of the car).

If you have the bulletproof Patriot that Machowski granted access for you when you completed 'Marked Man', then use it in the final mission in GTA3.
