Does your MX-5 live inside or outside? Looks beautiful. I was strongly contemplating getting one, but went a different direction. I don't quite like how the rear end feels on the ND during transitional movement. It feels oddly disconnected and the suspension feels like it's working in slow motion. Probably just needs a stiffer ARB. Other than that, I thought it was fantastic.

Unfortunately, both cars stay outside. Where I live the garage is more of a storage unit. :lol:

I haven't driven it so aggressively as to have to quickly transition from left to right and so on. But it's a ton of fun. It's actually deceptively fast, relatively speaking. It's also the best looking Miata/MX-5 in my opinion. The other generations definitely look good but I love the design of the ND. I seem to be one of the few in my circle of friends that had the guts to buy one. They all love it but can't see themselves driving one. :lol: I've seen other guys my age driving Club ND Miatas around and it seems to fit them(us) perfectly. :sly:

Thanks! I actually want to keep it. Finances will dictate whether that's possible or not.

So the final decision has been that the S4 will be returned in October. I'm currently in the process of selling the parts. It will be just the Miata for the foreseeable future.
 
Small update:

I've been very busy with work lately and also been busy taking parts of the Audi and preparing to get it appraised at CarMax.

Nothing huge has gone on with the Miata but it is in the garage now!

This is old news but I got my legacy plates. It has meaning and it's corny but I like it. Decoded: HI = Hiroshima J = Japan 1015 = Oct 2015(Build date)

I also installed 25mm spacers on all four corners. I have the pictures on my other phone but it's not much to seem it looks slightly awkward without being lowered. I have the springs but I'm holding off installing them.

A few days ago I got an email from MNAO with an invite to preorder the Launch Miata RF. I'm literally 50/50 on whether I should keep the Club or get a RF. I like both for different reasons. From a purely performance perspective the Club wins. But from the looks Dept the RF edges out the Club slightly IMO. So I'm thinking I'll pay the $500 preorder (which is refundable) and check it out when it arrives. If I decide I don't like it as much I'll keep the Club.

Improvement over stock, but it doesn't sound very throaty, imo.

Maybe this is more your style.




Kooks headers is a definite yes. I've been undecided between the Corsa sport and Kooks h pipe cat back. The Corsa Xtreme is too much. I'll be waking the dead when I cold start.

That's basically the exact same setup I'm after with the Z (Kooks headers/x-pipe & Corsa Sport), so naturally, I'm gonna give that two thumbs up. :D 👍👍
 
The full Kooks setup sounds different. Sounds sort of like a E9x M3 with the muffler mod which I think sounds great. Don't get me wrong the Corsa sounds great too.

I might go with a ghost cam tune in the future once the exhaust is on. This is with a Corsa Xtreme. It seems pretty loud haha

Whether or not I should post pone getting the wheels tires and springs installed and having a PC and Xpel applie already before more damage occurs. What do you guys think?
