Yeah it's good in the race, I tried setting a QT with it and was a second off my Supra time but the 911 keeps popping it's head up in races.
Tried it myself today, and got within 0.1 seconds of my Genesis quali time!

It's very stable and grippy in the race, much better than the Genesis on the brakes, and very easy to thread through the COD...🙂

Grrrr @newmedia_dev 😂 😋 If only I didn't mess up Sector 1... Still though, quite happy 😉 What's even "funnier" is that our lap time numbers are inverted 😅

@TechnoIsLove man you are trying!!! I've only done about 200 miles all week which is even funnier 🤣

But on the flip side I've not been racing either 😢 and also suck at B in the Gr3 stuff. That said if the shaft shake is fixed I might be more inclined to race it. We will see, work pub lunch tomorrow so realistically Saturday is my next time for a good session.

I think you'll beat me by the end of the week but we will see, it's fun to watch you frustrated with that last 1/10th 🤣

I have to say, race B is brutal this week, it almost needed gr4 to slow it down a little, I did manage a 3rd place. I held back first corner today to let a few dive bombers through and that was a good decision 🤣

But I really held on like hell to squeeze a 1.37.9xx outa that Porsche and started 7th 😳 I think I might need to spend some time in the supra just for my QT but I think wins won’t be plentiful this week 😁

Definitely going to race some WG this weekend, nordschleife not for me

I mentioned the other day that the subbie seems to behave really odd under haevy breaking with abs on default. The soft suspension also needs a bit of getting used to. I also found downshifting really late to help balance the car into corners.
I have to remind myself to SHIFT, lol. I keep runnin' the bar halfway through before I realize I'm losing time with each passing rpm. Thanks for the brake setting mention, might poke at that later.

It FEELS like you're driving a marshmallow but it still manages to generate a crap ton of grip on CS's. Doesn't add up, lol. Fun to pilot, though, that's for sure. 👍

I think I'm just caught in the middle of your "dispute". 🤣
Excellent work bud!!!

Also, me and @TechnoIsLove just banter we aren't fighting, there is a little bit of "I can do better that you" but it's for fun.

Just incase others think there is some weird rivalry, there isn't just him and I and now @Gurzu having some targets to realistically beat.

It's all just banter for betterment and fun and a bit of light ribbing.

Thanks, I'm really falling in love with the track layout to the point that I can't tell wich I like the most between long and short. I'm well aware btw that there's no animosity, but rather healthy and constructive push for improvements between you guys. I don't see a real rivalry, but more a fellowship throught the game's challemges. It is in general what I see as the "mood" of the forum, and it's a very appreciable thing.

Two final races at Watkins Glen this evening. Once again my, off tracks ruined some potential good finishes. Less shoving as compared to the past few days, but I was still nudged aside a few times. I know a few drivers don't run radar as I was on the outside of a driver entering the final turn. And they just run me off the road like I wasn't there. So, I hit the wall and that starts a chain reaction where I hit a car that got punted. That car then hit the wall and shot across the track where I just make enough contact to slow me down. Just a mess. Also, the fact the general lack of spacial awareness on track is making things difficult to avoid troubles. As I said, I'm guilty of this, but I try to be aware of what's around me.

So with that, I'll be taking a break from GT7 as the new Monster Hunter comes out on Friday and I want to focus on that. Been looking forward to that one. I'll be lurking and I'll pop in if a combo looks good to me.

FINALLY!!! I got my A+ back :D

The Lexus has served me well. Finally got my first win this week. 4 Supras ahead of me at the start and they all bit the dust. The last one made the same mistake on lap 4 and 5. Lap 4 mistake let me close in and pass at the bottom of the hill. He tried to get the position back on lap 5 but launched himself off track.

I don't think any car/track combo has humbled me as harshly and as quickly as Dragon Trail in that Supra. The amount of times I've just tried for A clean lap has made my head spin. I had such a blast the last time this was a daily race (can't remember which car it was though) but damn.

Nowadays I try to keep the traction control at zero, or 1 at worst; I tried it at 3 and it felt too rigid. I figured 2 would be the sweet spot but I'm still trying to keep the car from spinning out on me. I've TANKED my DR this week there...oops! Looks like I've gotta get some practice in at Race C and hope for some better results.

So I spent part of the evening trying to fix and recalibrate my brake pedal. Thought I solved it and it was registering 0% again so I set the default min at 5%.

QT felt good for C on the Euro servers so jumped into a race. There was only 11 on the grid. I was 3rd with an A+ and A ahead of me. We all pulled away from the rest of the grid and I was keeping close to 2nd but not really threatening for position. Then I wobbled in the chicane and lost an about a couple seconds on p2.

Through to around lap 5 I maintained that gap, perhaps losing 2/10ths per lap, then all of a sudden I started to lose pace. 4th was a dot in the mirrors. At the time I assumed I was losing focus as I was losing ground on 2nd now. First it was 1/2s, then 1s then more.

I started to see 4th gaining as well. That slightly concerned me but I didn’t feel too threatened with not many laps left.

In the end I finished on the podium in 3rd about 10s back from the lead. I had a suspicion so I checked out my brakes. Yep, during the course of the race the calibration failed and I started to drag 1% brake all the time over the min setting. :banghead:

Later I switched to my VR account and this was what it was registering there. Agh!

That’s around 13% input with no input! Earlier in the day it was registering over 30%.

This is making racing and TTs near impossible. I’ll get a few laps and then I’ll have to reset again. Basically, the brake force will increase over time with no load.

I think I need new brakes….
