Fuji Speedway 550PP PRO- BHT Subaru Impreza STI Type RA '05

I was wandering around Fuji thinking what its like with N tires... I figured a 4 wheel drive car to start out with in this range is the Subaru..... And after some tuning it turned out very nice indeed... it holds drifts nice if the back does come out, minor countersteer to correct or hold the drift and as stated by GTP_Fuzzy, surely a contender! Take it for a spin!

right i need to get used to the N and S aswell.

i did a 1:54:5 in practice with the mines on daytona. first time i run it there.

on fuji i tried the evo x tunes and did a 1:55:x there. didn't really tuned the evo for fuji. im looking for forward to the subaru there. you guys might wanna create a evo x tuned set up for fuji.

I was racing against an Evo X... we were head to head until the last lap :( I'll give it a try as well.

Good stuff, nice to hear, I believe Roomboter, you can improve your times, Mines I believe you can get 1.51.xxx or 1.52.xxx 👍

Yup he's right Roomboter... 1.51s definately possible and online Ive done 1.50s with the luck of drafting in the Mine's

yeah i think i can manage that time, still some places on the track where i can find some time

edit: gonna give the subaru a run now

i notice some understeer in the subura made some changes. im definatly not a tuner but this is what i changed.

Changes I made: ( i did only 2 laps with this settings)

spring rate: 6 6
damper: 7 7
brakes: 4 3 brakes where to heavy for me

let me know what you guys think of it

im of to bed now

see you guys tomorrow

Right, just done further testing with the Subaru. there's postive signs. If I can get consistent lap times then definately going to be battling for podium or even race win. :) But there's a few other cars what are good at this event, and if a good fast driver is behind that wheel, then there is tough opposition. The two cars are Audi R8 and Subaru STI.

The newer Subaru? didnt meet an R8...

These settings feel more stable... but Im still faster with the original settings?? weird.. Did a few hot laps in each of them...

Just had race at 45, 6 people race 2 Subaru STI's and 2 Evo's and I won :) Clocked a race time no draft hardly, 9.52.055. And I did say in the previous post, that I was going to test something, I changed the turning angle to 50 and it worked.👍

LOL... that pesky turning angle! Ok... I'll give it a go in a bit and see whats up :)

-edit: Youre right... good improvement... I will adjust the post....

No Problem, can you give Hendrix's Mines tune a whirl in the weekend? He's curious as to what you think :)

That’s weird indeed. Car is more stable but your not faster. How is that possible. We’ve got to look into that tonight.

Hello people! Wow some new developments in the BlitzHendrix tune cave... a test driver, welcome Fuzzy! Like Blitz said, I'd be entering my Mine's tune for the Daytona Road event and then get pm'in to you for feedback and correspondence on any future tunes. Keep in mind though that we have different driving styles and are usually head to head in races and you'll see it back in our tunes...

tell me what you think brew, i'm interested.

Ledhendrix, I've just tested your tune. This is my thoughts on the two tunes on the Mines, yours and Blitz's Mines tune. Right both tunes I'm pretty comfortable with, the only difference I felt, was with Ledhendrix tune, on a few corners coming out of them, the car's backend was a little twitchy, so basically you have to be slightly gentle with the throttle. Where as with Blitz's Mines tune, the backend is stable, and therefore I could be aggresive with the throttle coming out of the corners. But having said that, both tunes are very good, both stable when braking into the corners. I enjoyed testing both of them. Thanks alot and keep the good tunes coming. 👍

Maybe if you adjust turning angle... try the original tune again with turning angle at 50 :) that made a big difference.... Im tuning a Honda NSX-R for Fuji as well.. but still work in progress.... its stilll not how I want it :)

Right going to test the Honda NSX-R at Fuji, :45. 👍

Oh damn!. Few corners in, and this car doesnt want to stick to the track. Looks like we either need to make it somehow more stable.
This car on N3's, is not match made in heaven. :nervous:

LOL..... I thought so.... Downforce is low... I dont know how much more stable I can get it... or do you think its a better contender for the 500PP custom race? The massive HP level is what causes it mostly I think.. and a bit of lift off oversteer every now and then...

Right I think this NSX doesnt like the event and N3 tyres. The only solution is another car, but it's up to you ? Also if I'm being honest, even if we mastered the car at this event, it wont be a contender.

It’s tough to keep a RWD car with N tires on the track. 4WD cars is the choice on Fuji 550PP. IMO

Cool, I'll move on to something else because it was a hassle to tune as well... I'll give the WRS car a shot in a bit... 👍

Yeah I figured... but I thought it might be nice to tune some RWDs for this event as well... but I guess I need to think again... RX7 maybe???

That’s a possibility I tried the RX8 and the RX7 last night. Both without any tune, only the PP level. The RX7 was a bit more stable. So with the right tune, it might work.

Alright then I'll try that one out later tonight... You still going to race today? :)

Right, theres 4 cars what spring to mind. Mitsubishi X Tuned, Nissan GTR, Subaru STI and Mazda RX-7.
Trust me, N3's tyres, you need cars what have got good traction, the cars what I've just mentioned have good traction and thats why, those cars are made for this Fuji PP 550. 👍
