BMW M3 GTS Color?

I made me one too. It handles great on the Ring, very agressive steering and a dominant but tame tail. It's crazy to say it, but when you shift early it feels pretty slow... at 1500 Kilos it's not really a sporty car. Amazing since IRL the GTS is about as sporty as BMW gets and then some. Maybe I am just 2 used to driving my 350Kw 135 ;)

Im happy to hear that! I also feel it handles agressively but at the same time with enough control. If you want the tail to reach out more, try stiffer rear springs. and/or if it is the entering that makes it tame in the rear, try to decrease rear toe, try at 0,0 and then adjust. Maybe you also have to adjust the LSD, check where it feels tame and then have a look at this thread:

thanks for the feedback! 👍

Wow! Love this car. Never really drove it much since GT5Prologue, but I now love it. Very easy handling, very neutral with just enough play. I have been practicing Nurburing and Suzuka as I like both these tracks. I havent tried the Nordschleiffe yet.
I ran the same setup except I already had the ECU on and havent done an oil change yet. I am sitting at 446 HP and managed 305 KPH on a practice run on SSR7. I havent added the FC Transmission yet. Would you recommend it? It kinda sucks being stuck with 6 speeds.
I havent tried the 1 series in GT5 yet. I really like the M5 sedan as well. I was doing some comparisons with Mercedes and the BMW is way more stable and fun to drive at the same time. I actually enjoy drifting in a corner a bit with this one!

Thanks again for the posts. I will keep you updated.

p.s. havent added that wing yet because its not removable, but I may add it yet. Any a-spec recommended races for a challenge? German cars only?

Thanks for the feedback!! If you ask me then dont add the FCT :P hehe, yea I know Im to orthodox, but its the way the car should be driven until we get a real DLC :) As for the Wing, last I checked its removable! So youre free to add it, its a part of being the GTS :)

This car is all about competing with 911 GT3, but Im not quite sure.. The GT3 weighs around 150kg less, but it also has less hp (-21). Too bad we cant try a VS round with these two...

Thanks for posting!

I put the color called "glutanorange" on mine, or i don't really care how to say it wasn't in English

Ok! Do you mind posting a pic on it here, in lighter and in darker areas? Ill match it with the original, if its better Ill change it in the specs, then of course the creds yours 👍

After a small research (google :) ) i found that, Glutorange is used by Audi, and the orange on the GTS is called Fire Orange by BMW.

Heres two pictures of them matched up. Theyre quite similar. Dont you think?

Fire Orange

In darker areas the Glutorange looks like this:

and...

While the BMW Fire Orange, used on GTS and 2011 cars as special paint, it looks more like a Two Tone color with typical red in shades in darker areas, and mattish" tone of orange when hit by light.

so what do you think guys, keep the monaco orange or go with the Glutorange?

Just a quick note. This is my new favourite car. I was able to re-run the German-only events against the M3-GTR and Audi R8 by changing to Sport-Soft tires. I was trying on stock Sport Hard and wasnt able to beat the competition but realized during replay they were all on Soft tires. Made a big difference.
I also added that wing and really like the look of it on the track. Its really nice to drive and shifting is super clean.
I changed to the "spec" gearing above and find 3rd a bit long, but the setup let me win the races after some practice.

Thanks again. look forward to any other "Specifications" you guys care to post or share.

👍👍 im happy for you, im very satisfied with it, its definetely my nr 1 car. Always felt the M3 was a bit tame, when I saw this I had to fix it.

I am also going to try the gears out. Ps. My new rule, leave the standard cars in the garage.. theyre so damn ugly compared to premiums...

What colour did you paint the wheels? I think I left them "black" looking from the wheel upgrades, but yours look much darker. The photos you got are lovely. I am going to run the Nurbugring again and see if I can get some photos.

I painted them solid black. Feel free to give suggestions on other colors, i think theres an "darker black" color, im not sure.

Great, please do post the pictures here afterwards :dopey:

Its snowing very heavily outside my window right now which is making me think if I could get the M3 out on a snowy course somehow for photos! Its very pretty but Im ready for spring now on March 21st...
Will post pics when I can.

Glad I'm not alone in building a GTS replica :).

I used Mitsubishi's Kenya Orange (the '70 Galant's colour), and a very, very dark gray from BMW for the wheels, so that any photomode shots would pick up at least a hint of their details (but it's still basically black). My searching around had given me a quoted weight of 1490kg, but that was from Autoblog's original first Officially Official blog entry. I also gave it a set of Sport Medium tires as I figure they represent big enough improvement in grip over the stock car, though it's a peach on either set.

Will have to set up the gears to really finalize things, but nice 👍

hehe glad to hear that! will check this one out! ---> Mitsubishi's Kenya Orange

Thanks for the tip! please leave feedback if you manage to get the transmission right, the one posted here has an loooong 3d gear :P

I found out that the BMW premiums dont allow snow tires, so I couldnt try one of the snow tracks for some pictures. I re-ran Nordscleiffe and will post pics soon. Good suggestion about the dark grey to show detail!

The long 3rd gear is a bit strange. Is this the spec?

Thanks for the car i love it, one question the real GTS is caged should we do a chassis reinforcement to mimic the rigidity a cage would have on car until GT implements a roll cage option someday?

Ive tried the Kenya Orange, im not sure which one i like the most though... the strange aspect of the official GTS color is that it has a "reddish" tone sometimes, and more so in a sunny daylight.. for instance:

The kenya orange truly attests to this color:

whilst the monaco orange attests to this:

And also this

What do you think guys?

I used Ford Focus ST's Electric Orange. I think it mimics original paint decently. But everything's just "orange" for me, you'd probably have to ask a woman about it, they claim to see more colours than men.

It makes me so happy inside to see I wasn't alone in trying to make a GTS replica, and so many of you. *tear*

Yeah, before introduced to this thread by AddGrg1, I used the color Premium Passionate Orange (3P). May not be the most accurate color, but I love it. I'll post pics in just a sec.

Thanks for the specs, in time I'll to do my modifications

No words, not only the car look gorgeous but the settings make the car so fun and balanced.

This GTS combined with the Extreme series - league schwarwald B on the Ring with all aids off (abs inclusive), clean racing and the R8 starting first and you will fall in love with the game once again.

Many thanks for the tips guys!
