has anyone had issues driving online with this one? I was very comfortable with this setup but totally lost control on line at first. felt like i was on comfort hard tires. Im sure its just me... but any thoughts?

I was going to post that Monaco orange it's the paint that you were looking for, but you already found it. Instead, i'll leave this:

1.- Buy the FC Transmission.
2.- Set the final to 3.154.
3.- Set Max Speed to 310 Km/h (192 mph) (If it's already at 310 Km/h, change it to another one and again to 310 Km/h)
4.- Set the individual ratios:
  • Gear 1 = 4.780
  • Gear 2 = 3.056
  • Gear 3 = 2.153
  • Gear 4 = 1.678
  • Gear 5 = 1.390
  • Gear 6 = 1.203
5.- Enjoy the ride!

To make it a 500PP car for online racing, i made a version that only has: Weight Reduction Stage 1 (+ ballast set to 41 Kg), second exhaust upgrade, and the rear aero set to 5.

I have always found that the FC transmission can really ruin the sound of the vehicle. Way too much gear whine. Has anyone tried the close ratio 6 speed and if so is it pretty close to these gear ratios.

What are the reccomended tyres?

When I did my Gallardo Superleggera (Same specs, and bodykit. Only missing the stripes and a more realistic paint job), I swithched it to Sports Soft (I can't believe a supercar comes with the same tyre compound as an EVO X). Is this unrealistic? I see PD does it to all "Tuned" cars (See: Mine's and Amuse's lovely monsters).

im playing gt5
Are you asking whether to put Sports or Racing tires? If so I would put Sports soft...

These pictures show tires with tread...

Not quite. I never use Racing softs on road cars (and barely on race cars) because they make driving too ridiculously easy and make cars go awkwardly fast, plus, it spoils my learning of driving technique.

Real question is: Should I leave the stock Sport Hards? (I still don't think real cars are so harsh and have the same tyres as lower-ranged cars) Should I use Sport Softs like on the "tuned" cars by PD? (They seem realistic for a track-toy/high performance realistic tyre, but do they make things too unrealistically easy? Would Sport Mediums be a good balance?

OT: Does someone have some paintchips from the Lamborghini Murcielago for trade? I need them for my special edition Gallardo Superleggera.

Next, I'll try to replicate the R8 V10 GT, and, of course, this M3 GTS 👍.

Nice tip, ive tried it out. Not sure if im going to stick with it. Think the Monaco orange still gets the closest reddish tone of the real BMW "fire orange".

Okay so I just made my replica and I noticed how the conversation had a slight sub-topic about the gearing, I also noticed that someone mentioning trying out the close-gear ratio. So I decided to try both the close gear as well as the customizable 6 gear ratio that we've been provided with here at the thread.

So, I tried out the Fully Customizable first. As mentioned before, it has that unusually long 3rd gear, however to me doesn't seem to be anything major in terms of performance. On another even minor note, which was also yet again mentioned, was that whining sound ughh. I know some people love to hear the sound of a V8 engine, but the gear ratio kinda makes it sound rather bad (not like the M3 in GT5 sounded that great to begin with lol).
Aside all that, I personally love the gear ratio. It really gives the car a good feeling and I get more a thrill out of this than the close gear.

Aight, now for the close gear ratio. For both gears, they are nearly the same when it comes to figures, so performance wouldn't vary THAT much. Driving the car seems to be a bit easier with this gear ratio, which could also be one of the reasons why I don't have as much fun driving with it. However, unlike above, the sound of the close gear is much more tolerable. I like 'ta hurr it. Little or no whine (don't remember I did these test a couple days ago so I'm typing from memory).

Overall close gear is also a pretty good choice for the lazy ones who don't really want to get those customizable gear ratios or who want the sound. Get the custom ratios if you want a more 'accurate' GTS (rather hard to do considering the M3 has 7 gears :x ).

Btw I love the look of that Lava Orange kenny. I just might change 👍

Thanks for the info. I also set the Ballast position to -27 to simulate the 52.4/47.6 weight distribution.
