If you want to make it your self then buy following:

- BMW M3 07'

- MONACO ORANGE paint (by buying Vette 69' in dealership)

- Buy the first BBS wheels in wheelshop. and paint them (solid) BLACK

- Buy front and rear spoiler (A).

- Weight reduction stage 1 and 2.

- buy rigidity improvement/chassis reinforcement (Credit goes to m176 for the tip !)

- Then give ballast to the cars weight until the car has 1530 kg which is the GTS official weight.

- Engine stage 1.

- Sports exhaust

this will give the car exact 444 bhp which is the GTS official power output. if you do the Oil Change.

Then buy:

- double clutch

- sports flywheel

- full suspension,

Set it to

-8, -5
7,7;10,6
7,7
5,5
4,5

alignment

1,0;0,5
0,00;0,20 (try 0,00 if you like and adjust by taste.)

EDIT*** - BUY LSD

set it to:

I just want to explain this 444bhp or 450bhp confusion.

In short it is 444bhp.

In the English Technical Specifications of the BMW M3 GTS of your link http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=318714 it says:
Max output kW/bhp 331 / 450

on this page you will find also the German Technical Specifications of the BMW M3 GTS, there you will find:
Leistung [kW/PS] 331 / 450

so there must be a mistake somewhere, because 450 PS are not 450 bhp.
but on both technical specifications you find 331 kW
so...
331 kW = 450.03472473 PS (aka horsepower (metric,DIN,PS))
331 kW = 443.87823522 bhp (aka horespower (hp,UK))

I am used to PS for a car's horsepower and NM for the torque and this realy well thought-out GT5 does not allow me to change to these units. I played all GTs and in GT1 to GT4 it is possible to change to these units.

in general, i want to point out that this german tech spec pdf compares these 3 M3s:
BMW E92 M3 GTS
BMW E92 M3
BMW E46 M3 CSL

this is particular usefull, because we have to take this "BMW E92 M3" and modify it to the "BMW E92 M3 GTS". An it should not be a problem to read tech spec in a different language.

So for further improvement:
I think the BMW E92 M3 and the BMW E92 M3 GTS use the same LSD.
In German, LSD is called Differenzialsperre.

The BMW E92 M3 and the BMW E92 M3 GTS have peak power and readline at the same rpms, so we could set the gear ratios the same.
But I do not know if this is possible because "Engine stage 1" tuning changes the redline and do we can set the 7 ratios in exactly that way?
At the moment I cannot try it out.

How do get the black roof?

I fancy doing this to race the 4hrs at Nurburgring. My M3 coupe is silver I think, will I need to buy another in black?
 
So, I tried this set up, but didn't use second stage weight reduction, I needed 41kg ballast after reduction 1.

With the sports exhaust and stage1 engine upgrades I was left a couple of bhp above the GTS spec, (my M3 is running in). But the power upgrades still leave me short on the torque.

The OP's settings drive nicely, thanks.

I'm adding ECU, Filter and Cat to get the torque to 440nm (~44-45kgfm) and I'll use power limiter to get the correct bhp.
 
You should be using the Sport-Titanium Exhaust upgrade (stage 2) as it has been specified this is used on the real car to reduce weight.
 
Great tune. I agree with rams1de, the official torque is 325 ft/lbs (which using the set up above, falls a lil short). I had to do everything the OP suggested, then I also added the: ECU / titanium exhaust (instead of sports - suggested above by Nolifeloner) / sports catalytic converter. That put me at exactly 325 ft/lbs, then I just used the power limiter to go back down to 450bph. Its a sweet ride.
 
We should try to do this for various GT race cars.
Do you guys think it would be possible for the Aston Martin DBR9?

Drop Initial to 10, raise Accel to 60, reverse the ride heights.
Mix and match, see what works best.
 
Great job, colour's just about spot on. Not a bad set up but like has been mentioned, that diff' is all wrong and the suspension needs some fine work to exploit the chassis to it's fullest as although the torque figure is correct, the chassis makes the car feel laggy through low speed corners. A sorted diff' and suspension set up could work wonders for that problem. Also, their's no mention of what tyres to use. The old E46 M3 CSL used tyres that i would have compared to the sports soft in this game. I don't think the GTS is running such extreme tyres but they are track biased so i've opted for sports-medium, seems a fitting compound. :)

Lol, I just ran Racing Softs, because to my knowledge most cars that run the Nurb do, because obv the car manufactureres want the fastest possiblet imes =P
 
Most car manufacturers running showroom cars will use the OE rubber to give an acurate representation of it's true capabilities. If they went ahead with fitting track day rubber, why stop there; bang on a bigger turbo, remove excess weight and so forth! :)

No, the closest you could achieve is a stripped out-road racer (i say stripped out - how come after i've paid out 45000 credits the rear seats are always still fitted - even in the RM models ?). The DBR9's appearance is vastly different to the DB9 which makes the whole object pointless. Also you wouldn't be able to get the weight down low enough. Part of this projects great success is the fact that the car in question, a regular M3 has been transformed mechanicaly and VISUALY to identicaly match the GTS. I can't think of a single other car in the game that can benefit from the same treatment.
 
I think the Monaco Orange is a little bit too bright. I went with an orange from the premium Lotus Esprit called 'something Lava Pearlescent'.

Just made my own M3 GTS Replica đź‘Ť, used "Lava Orange Pearlescent" body and "Jerez Schwarz Metallic" wheels then took it around the ring... :nervous:
Sports Soft tyres, 444BHP, 44.6kgfm (.25 less than Original GTS), 1530kg, No AIDS except ABS=1;
Managed a 7'13.889 on 3rd attempt. :) Could do alot more once I tweak my setup (did not use OP setup, used my own "best guess")...
Would post a video of the replay but I'm not sure how to capture and keep video quality and don't have a youtube account. Could send to a kind person willing to do the video for me if anyone wants to have a look? :sly:
Also willing to share my setup for anyone who is wanting to give it a go... :cool:
Was recorded during the Nurburgring Nordschleife race, German Schwarzwald League series (extreme) - All cars on SS tyres...

UPDATE: Had a play with Camber and Anti-Roll Bars, now down to 7'10.591 :D
Could still improve by another 3-5 seconds with that setup if my lap was clean... Too many driver errors... :banghead:

Further Update; :)
Had a single lap run on Practice mode to test the car out without traffic and with Grip Reduction on Real, time was a 7'09.354 straight out of the box so much more could be achieved if I kept at it...

Still on SS, 444BHP, 44.6kgfm, 1530kg and No AIDS except ABS=1 đź‘Ť

Thanks to the OP for creating this thread and making it possible for myself and others to create this wonderful M3 GTS without having to do all the digging for car specifications! :sly:

Made my gts today.. really fun! love this post..
Only did a few laps on tsukuba and dId a 1:00.6xx on ds3 (didn't have time to get the wheel out).
it almost feels 4 wheel drive, with bit of understeer. didn't have time to play with the dif, but maybe it could have a lower acceleration setting to make it just a tiny bit more neutral.. other than that its bloody sweeeeet:dopey:
Im going to make a similar post on how to make a focus RS 500..

EDIT: This lap was completed on Sports Soft tyres, I have since learned that Sports Hard tyres would have been the more appropriate choice so will re-do the lap and update the video once I have the correct compound fitted! ;)

Interesting thread.... one of the first cars I 'created' when I started GT5 was a M3 GTS replica... but with nowhere near as much attention to detail as this!

Couple of comments in the interst of making it as accurate as possible...

Exhaust...
The M3 GTS has a full Akrapovic titanium exhaust... apparently it's very loud!

Tyres...
I guess this is the on going debate of what GT5 tyres = in real life. But if lap times at the 'Ring are in the 7'10 braket the tyres are way too grippy. The cars runs 7'50ish in RL IIRC. Tyres on the actual car are Pirelli P-Zero Corsa's (similar to MPS Cups as fitted to the CSL and various GT 911's), so these are the lowest spec of track day suitable tyre you can buy. IMO, this should be sports hard.

Might have to revisit mine... I think I converted it back to standard at some stage, so maybe I'll have to buy another one :D
