In a day or so, I expect to put Bob in the 24 hour endurance race. He has been in three 9 hour races, one was a ringing success, the other two were crashing failures (can't go to sleep on him I guess). But I expect to get a least a nights sleep while he is doing his thing :) and get up to find him still in the lead, not thirty laps down :dopey:, I would like to hear some experiences of those who have run this race so far as I hope I only have to do it one time, thanks in advance.

As long as your put him in a quick enough car; i.e. FGT or X2010, you should be fine. A non-supervised B-Spec driver will lap the field on the 3rd or 4th lap with the X2010.

I'm 13 hours into the race. My 2 Bob's are running the X2010 in rain and clear conditions. Day just broke in the last hour. I'm on lap 248, 72 laps ahead of second. With the X2010 they're pitting every 9 or 10 laps. Things are going well. I'll update you when the race is over at 8:00AM EST tomorrow.

I used the Formula GT. Bob won without supervision, just like he always does. I got really annoyed with not being able to use my PS3 for a whole day, just so some computer program could run its course to its inevitable conclusion.

It was amusing seeing Bob driving over 200 mph in pitch-black darkness with no headlights, but that got old pretty quick too. I mostly switched the camera over to other cars that did have headlights, just so I could watch something. Not that I really watched more than a half hour of that race total. Seemed like it stayed dark for quite a long time - 9 hours at least. I think that after a while, the other cars started pitting every single lap because the drivers' strength was always at 0. I had the pit strategy turned off, so I didn't have any such problems. My guy gained a whole lot of laps on them as soon as they started doing that. I was meaning to look at how many laps he eventually won by, but I forgot all about it.

First 24 Hour Le Sarthe I put 3 Bobs all under Level 35 as it was my my First Attempt in the Audi R8 ' 01 899 BHP and 900 kgs .

Walked away and left them to it .

Following day checked on there Progress and at Race End they were 8 laps ahead of the next R8 so a close Race .

Following 3 have all been in a X2010 Grinder they use with over 31,000 Miles on it

They finish miles ahead of everyone in that , i've done it once properely now its Grind , Grind , Grind to get to level 40 in B-Spec :grumpy:

There now on there 5th Le Sarthe Race :yuck:

I always make sure I give bob a car that overkills, (e.g. FGT vs Skyline GTR R34).
Set him off to overtake everyone, then turn on the TV show i'm watching. Finally finished a B-spec race (Championship) without anger.
I even put a "new-hired" (Fresh-bob) in FGT, and he leveled up to Level 9 in 5 races....:)

At last check, my 24 hour Circuit de la Sarthe race is just over 30 minutes from completion. Stats are as follows:

Time - 23h:28m
Vehicle - X2010
Laps - 486
Fastest lap - 2:36.499
Notes - 138 laps up on the second place Audi R10 TDI Race Car and 162 laps up on the last place Team Oreca Viper GTS-R.

I've also watched a grand total of around 30 minutes of the race, mainly to watch fuel consumption (and holy crap does the X2010 consume!), how often they pit, etc. and last night the kids were enjoying watching the fireworks.

That's actually quite slow. I put a level 0 Bob in the 90 lap Laguna Seca race and at the end of it he was at level 14. Zero to 14 in around 2 hours. And now that I have the X2010, even that is slow.

Yup the Record for Levelling up i've seen on here is for the Ring 24HR Race , Zero Hero Bob and 1 other , Race end the Zero Hero Levelled up from 0 to 36.5 thats Insane

The other funny thing is watching Bob's in the X2010 Punting slower Cars out of the way , one 24HR race every other Car in the Field had there Rear Ends all Smashed up

That sounds about right, I entered a virgin bob as co-driver in the 24hr Le Mans and he came out as a level 30.

 that really intersting. I saw some when i put Bob on 1000km suzuka for grinding with X2010.

I'd guess because its not an endurance race, just Tuning Car Championship (5 races/7 laps each). Endurance will earn much more XP.

At least Bob completed a championship without me screaming and yelling in front of the TV...

Do you leave the pit stop options to off to keep them from pitting every lap?

Allways OFF never had a Problem with it either 👍

Remember there Just Slaves to Earn you Cars and Credits

Cool, I guess I'll fire up GT5 & get the B-Boys started on the 24 hours of Le Mans!

LOL This made me laugh pretty hard. I don't know if you think 9 hours is a long time to stay dark in a 24 hour race considering it stays dark for 9+ hours in real life as well.:nervous:

I finished my first 24h race this morning. Two bob's ran 461 laps. 19 hours were in the rain. They drove the X2010 and finished way ahead of the pack. Roughly 100 laps ahead.

It seems kind of long when you're waiting for one of those stinkin' races to finally finish so you can use your PS3 again :P

Holy crap….I set my Bobs up to do the LeMans around 2am, its now 14 hours in, 253 laps so far, 69 laps from 2nd and 82 laps from 12th! LOVE LOVE LOVE the X2010!!!

My Bobs don't get to drive my X2010, they have their own formula GT to wear out!

Just out of curiosity, what levels are your Bobs at and what is your fastest lap time? The reason I'm asking is if you're 14 hours in and I had 486 with 30 minutes to go, presumably at the 14 hour mark I would have been around 283 (486*(14/24)), 30 laps up on you!

Are you accounting for weather? Rain basically adds 30 seconds a lap in a X2010.

^ Good point and calls for more data! My average lap time for the race was 2:54 ((23.5*60)/486). jokr2k10's laps are coming in at 3:19 ((14*60)/253) (depending on how accurate he was with his numbers, of course). As far as I'm aware, there was no rain for my race.

Dunno if this helps , but currently its Dry ( Thank god) at Le-Mans 10 hr's:25 Mins in and 217 Laps done , Fastest Lap is 2:34:623 . Bobs are x 3 , 2 @ Level 36 one @ Level 37 .

Couldn't agree more, Bob has a FGT he loves...all 28k miles worth he has put on it.

I don't see the point in putting Bobs in a X2010 for timed races, he will still win with a FGT, and it isn't like 24h goes by any faster having a faster car...so for lap races (if I run any of them again) I will consider putting Bob in a X2010, but for timed...he can manage with his FGT.

I agree as well, though Bob did one 24hr in the X2010 because I wanted to know what the track looked like with lights on.

I may be in the minority, but is it possible to win this in a regular car? I want to put my Bobs (they'll be at the level 30/31 mark by this point) in the race in a 908, will they be able to keep a good enough pace to win?
