I may be in the minority, but is it possible to win this in a regular car? I want to put my Bobs (they'll be at the level 30/31 mark by this point) in the race in a 908, will they be able to keep a good enough pace to win?

It'd be tough, but if you want to sit there and babysit them the whole way through, I'm sure it's possible. Try it out in the GT All-Stars and see how well you do, that should set a good benchmark on what to expect at LeMans.

Audi R8 LMP ( Yellow Rear wing Version , not the Playstation one its 50 KGS heavier) in the UCD 899BHP and 900KGS . Used that for the first 24 HR Le Sarthe , no babysitting the Bob's and they won by 8 Laps .

Race was a Mixture of Dry , Dark as in Nightime and Rain , so Pretty much everything that could be thrown at the bob's was .

They were all below level 34 before the Race aswell .

Used 3 Bob's in the Race .

My bob's are having a tough time with the 908 in the 24h. I think it probably has to do with the set up. They'll start a new race with a FGT at about 9pm.

Im going to try and do each endurance race with a proper competitive car at some point just so i can say my Bob triumphed! lol.

That sounds about right, I entered a virgin bob as co-driver in the 24hr Le Mans and he came out as a level 30.

But with almost zero experience. I wonder if that makes a difference in how he drives compared to a Bob at lvl 30 with lots of experience.

i would like to complete the 24 hours of lemans..

But i dont think my PS3 can stand the pressure?

How can you guys let your PS3 run for 24 hours straight without thinking about the heat it provides and maybe it would DIE :embarrassed:

Sorry for the horrible english :D

My observation was that he was lapping about 5 secs per lap slower, which over 3+mins is not very different. That 5 secs could also be accounted for by slipstreaming or overtaking, so that may not be meaningful as I made no notes. What I can say is that in-car virgin bob's driving was of a consistent standard, I would not have known he was a new driver by his driving.

I am running quite a few 24 hrs at the moment ;) , so I will create another new Bob today/tomorrow and try to a be bit more observant. Le Mans is a pretty simple track, what will be interesting is how a virgin bob performs in the Nurburging 24hrs event.

My PS3 has been running continuously, with perhaps a few resets since for this entire year. That I know definitely:tup:, however it hasn't had much of a break since 24th Nov'. No dramas don't hear it at all. If I am not racing Bob is.

Hendrix, Prince and Kiss are currently running the Le Mans 24 hour.
Time is 20:20. With just under 4 hours remaining they have run 391 laps with a best lap of 2:32.145. Before I went to sleep last night it was raining but I don't know how long it stayed for. Its sunny now and they are 108 laps in front of 2nd place and 130 on 12th. Running a Vettel X2010.
I know Hendrix is about Lvl 37 others are around 30-32.

I have completed 2 le Mans one with an Audi R8 race car, a 12 lap win,one with a Toyota GTone,13 lap win and am currently using a Peugeot 908 HDi,5 hours in ,consistently holding just over 1 lap lead

Good man! Doing it with the appropriate cars!

I was thinking about this last night and i really would much rather lose by 10 secs in a 24 hour endurance race than win by 20-30 laps.

Well after you Complete it in B-Spec 7 or 8 times to level up , please let me know what its like to leave your PS3 on for 7 or 8 Days Solid and have to Add a Day because you don't have enough Xp to get to the Next Level .

First Race yes did it the proper way 👍

After that it was a case of Grind Grind Grind . I'll be Glad when B-spec is done with , then the Bob's can take a rest and i'll get to Play around in GT5 .

I just wan't B-spec Over and Done with . I do enjoy it but now its getting a bit old .

....................................................................................................

Just finished my 6th Le-Mans 24HR (might even be my 7th easy to lose count after so many) , oh look i'm still 1.431.498 XP short of reaching level 40 for another 24HR Race......yippie :banghead:

So thats another 48 Hours to go to finish off B-Spec :yuck:

It's ridiculous to have to grind B spec, OK I did a 24 hour race, just give me enough XP to move to the next race, the B spec grinding is a waste of time.

When the Bobs auto-pit for various things, if it's started to rain will they auto change to rain tyres? I don't want him driving like he's on an ice rink while I'm asleep ;o.

They choose the right tires. No worries there.

I'm level 24 a-spec and level 1 b-spec. I loved the b-spec in GT4. My bob has won one race in a Chevy Corvette ZR1 RM... in the Sunday Cup!

Thanks for the tips, I'll be making sure the car's set up right beforehand anyway, should be starting it on Tuesday morning to maximise the amount of time I'll be able to babysit them.

With the R8 I suggested you won't need to 👍

Just remember to Add the Stage 3 Turbo and Change the Oil Before the Race . I think i geared mine at 255 and Max Downforce .

I've decided on the 908 though :P Plus I don't have an R8, and I don't fancy doing the scroll-throough-5-licenses-and-check-the-UCD again 8 bazillion times before the thing I'm looking for comes up again.

You'll need to Babysit them a Bit with the 908 then 👍

What I was planning to do anyway! Should get me in the mood for doing it myself when I get there on A-Spec. Going to have a crack at that in a 787B.

Running one with a fully tuned Ford GT LM Spec II. He's about 5-7 seconds slower than the Audi, but once the other drivers started pitting every lap due to the auto-strength kicking in I'm sitting on a 3 lap lead with a shade over 6 hours to go. No rain yet, and they're on lap 265 at the 17:40 mark.

...I've also watched a grand total of around 30 minutes of the race, mainly to watch fuel consumption (and holy crap does the X2010 consume!)...

I had to have a look. After topping up the tank, I sent Bob out, and straight back to the pits on the next lap. The X2010 took another 11 litres, or 1/8 tank, and it wasn't even a 'full' lap since he was in & out of the pits!

As long as your Bob is in the Level 25 or more range he will be fine in the 24 hour races even with comparable cars if you leave them alone. At least in my experience. Ive done tons of 24 hour races so far, mainly to level up my various Bobs faaast.

I usually put in a new Bob in a level 24 race, like Dream Car Championship oval. That brings his level up over level 15 then I insert only 1 Bob to do the entire 24 hour race. I haven't lost one yet and usually lap them between 2-18 laps depending on if the computer driver do that silly pitting on every lap during the night.

I use the Peugeot 908 race car in my races and my Bobs have won them all so far. So you really dont need an overpowering car like the X2010 or FGT. They do suffer from repeated corner-itis on at least 1 or 2 corners around La Sarthe but for the most part they are just a tad faster then the computer, especially if they are level 30+ so they maintain the inevitable lead they get.

I have a LVL 38 guy thats done a 2:31 lap. My best is in the 2.25 range. Pretty good, they still cant pass other cars though. They feather the throttle and even hit the brakes on the mulsanne straight. I guess they cant go a full 60 seconds without making out with that carbon carbon bonding....LOL
