CSA doesn't make you faster, just makes you more consistent.

And it doesn't actually counter steer - it just acts as a very subtle traction control.

Looking at the amount of complaining about how poor some people's on-line experiences are, and watching videos from lower DR/SR levels (and how poor generally, car control is at these levels), I'd say a lot of people could benefit from using it.

It might be translation, it doesn't make you faster, it does enable you to take risks and stop you from spinning off.

You may be quick enough with your hands to catch the car from spinning off all those times it flickers red, but you would lose time trying to catch control of the car.

I refuse to switch it on though, hopefully it will get banned from sport mode if not removed from the game 'the real driving simulator'

Funny, I was going to post earlier and warn that once you shut CSA off, there are going to be some curbs to be mindful of...
Guess several are noticing the same phenomena.

I used to have CSA on weak and turned it off about 2 weeks ago - I really haven't noticed much difference.
I've noticed the red light would come on constantly (even minor turns), but I couldn't tell if it was doing anything.

Heck, maybe if I turned it on again I would notice a difference, but I don't need it.

The only time I turn CSA on is when I'm driving karts.

Yeh, happy it took 3 warm up laps and wasn't 5 seconds quicker

I'll have another go tomorrow, I regret not sticking with that GTA helicopter view when I bought my wheel and stopped using the controller. It looks slower, but nowhere near as immersive. I assume you are using a wheel and just prefer helicopter view?

Still getting used to them, and not real comfortable, but, the "feel" is much better... hopefully some "fasterness" will come with use/familiarity, but, there isn't 5+ seconds in it

Double press share button to start recording. Press share again when you want to stop recording and press square to save video clip. Use the sharefactory app to upload to youtube.

You can upload directly from the ps4 gallery. Sharefactory is only used if you want edit more than the start and end points.

For some reason that didnt work for me, i kept getting errors while uploading. Using sharefactory solved it for me. But if it works uploading from gallary should be possible as well.

I did my first video by copying to usb, uploading to laptop, then uploading to youtube. I thought that was a pain, so I connected ps4 to youtube and uploaded directly from ps4.
Then I realised it took ages from ps4 uploading, and i didnt want to use ps4 while it was uploading.
I think I'll use my faster usb drive next time and go back to using my laptop.

Hey @JacksHerer, saw your replay teaser yesterday night on my PS and read through your thread right now. A nice challenge and I think I'm gonna give it a try. Will take a while 'cos I'm terribly short of time atm ... I'm curious though. Basically it's the Nürburgring track test in another car, right ? I still have almost no experience with Gr3 cars, so it will be nice to find out which one fits me better .

Yeh, my intention was to see what I'm missing from the 991 in race pace.
I haven't tried to set my fastest lap, ie going round and around until I get close to a perfect lap or match my ghost.

I've just gone into the game clicked record and run one lap, one go at it.
Kind of like saying 'watch this!' and then performing, without going so fast that I could make a big mistake, and have to start again saying 'aghhh, hang on, watch this one' while the crowd walks off to watch something else.

I don't hold anything against eminems lap or how many warmups it took to do it, but his first 3 laps were fails and his 4th lap was not his 1st lap.

Playing in helicopter view is also playing a different game IMO.

I didn't think of it till now, but the best way to prove it's a one lap attempt is to show the menu screen in the video so the daily miles is visible. So would need to try it before doing anything else that day in the game.

Edit : maybe a better challenge, would have been to do 5 laps and take the average. Not sure how long can be recorded though with the share button. I'll have a look when I switch PS4 on.
