Congratulations on getting tune of the week @Bowtie-muscle! Your RUF tune was my favourite of the lot of them also so a well deserved achievement indeed. Keep up the great work!

NOTE: Not the best or the fastest, if a tester calls this one safe I will take it as a compliment. Not sure if it is me, the car or the track, or combination of all but I am not feeling better than the bottom with this one. I hope my testing goes better than tuning, hopefully some of you will have great tunes for me top learn from.

I agree 100%. I have a race Sunday and the 05 is the model chosen, it's not easy to drive and one of the racers is a decent tuner so I was looking for help.
That tune was made for a FITT Challenge and although it was fast, it has some issues. It was also quite awhile ago, I have found that the '06 GT is better. I do have a 575pp tune for that but have not posted yet.
Check the FITT archives and maybe try one of the others from that challenge. The car is fast, but has some minor issues, like the rear likes to just lose grip and snap out from under you. My tune could have used a bit of front end work, but I never went back and fixed. If you do a quick read of some of the reviews, you can pick through the tunes and find the better ones.
I agree 100%. Will try when I get a chance, see a few things I would try. Will let you know.I have a favor to ask.
I am trying to tweak the mid range RC's to compete with the big boys in the seasonal.
The one I am working on now is the little FTO super Touring car.
So far, I have come within a second and a 1/2 of my average Zytek time. Which is good, but the car is glitchy. I have gone back and forth on a bunch of settings, each thing corrects one thing and causes something else. This may sound normal, as it is, but normally by now I have found common ground.
I chose this one, because it is 4wd. More things to play with. But I started out 60/40 and now am at 75/25. I really dislike turning a 4wd into an FR.
What I need, as I have to stop and go to work, is a second set of eyes.
This is what I am at now, unfinished, but works;
Suspension
70/75
8.00/12.50
3/5
5/3
3/5
0.0/0.5 (don't have to use it if you dont want to)
-0.15/-0.05
6/7
Lsd;
IT- 9/11
AS- 11/13
BS- 13-11
Dis- 25/75
High turbo, 100% power
Aero- 350/500
Weight- 12kg @ -50
Transmission is custom, just have it top out around 195 evenly.
If you don't have time, no big deal. This is just a side project anyway.
Anyone else feel free to play also, just pm me instead of messing up his garage with off topic.
Thanks man.
Finally had a quick look, tried a few different things. Mainly, LSD and slightly stiffer springs thou not much. And slightly lower down force. Want to try 1 or 2 more things and fix the trans (stock does not work at all...) and then will let you know.I have a favor to ask.

I start at 35/65 and did with this. Handles like a FR yes, but still keeping the 4we exit launch and some midcorner push. Accel is the tricky part, feels like I went too low at 8. Helps cornering but engages too quickly, went higher but have to check. Let you know if I get a chance tonight.Unfortunately, with 4wd, the faster the top speeds (tarmac) are going to be, usually making it as close to an FR works best.
I'm 20/80, 25/75, 30/70, ect.
But I hate the concept.
4wd isn't just good for dirt and snow.
Not using the extra ability to utilize all 4 tires in the tuning process is just throwing away a possible advantage over the non4wd's. It's just more of a pain in the butt tuning 45/55, or 40/60.
@demonchilde
I removed ballast and left the weight stock.
50:50 why dust
It can be a little wild but fast. Trans still needs some final adjustment, but here is where I am currently
FG 5.000
Too Speed 124
3.850
2.525
1.865
1.470
1.215
1.035
FG 3.350
Try it and let me know.
Trans was after, still needs minor tweaks.I threw only a little weight in just as an attempt to curb some handling issue I had at the time. Sometimes, as you well know lol, just going from 50/50 to 49/51 or 51/49 can alter how effective suspension settings are when trying to alter grip/under/oversteer. But I agree, I should have tested longer without resorting to that.
That Transmission, was that before or after you did the oil change?
I will be on and off today, finishing putting up a new fence in my yard. ( )
Thanks a ton for lending a hand man
