Bowtie's Speed Shop : Ultimate Corvette Collection!

The prototype did surprise me. It's amazing how fast it is. I did have to lower the LSD acceleration setting for SM tires and my lack of finesse, but Wow! That's a lot of fun for something that looks like a duffel bag!
:) šŸ‘

Now you know why it's on my favorites list. :D

For a little oddball fun, take a shot with the C7 Test Prototype. Think that might surprise you as well. :dopey:
Always appreciate it when my tunes are used and enjoyed šŸ‘:)

Duffle bag? Being kind aren't you? ;)
It is a perfect mix of the Z06 (thanks to PD magic) power and grip, and the C7 (beauty) balance. Its a sneaky sleeper if Thsts possible for a Vette.

Thanks for trying it, @fordlaser used it there in the past so I know it's capable.:dopey:

Don't take my comment the wrong way, I adore Vette's and would take that prototype in a minute if offered. But the cover would have to go, even if it's the most stylish duffel bag ever. ;)

I have mentioned my latest lap time testing, do not want to give too much away but the results are somewhat typical but there are a few surprises.

For example: 525pp is complete as far as FR/MR tunes are concerned. I do have some 4wd cars to do but they have NO SHOT at the top of the list. The top 3 tunes are separated by 0.063! Less than a tenth, the top 2 by 0.001!!!!
1 of those tunes was previously tuned at 525 and is on my tunes list.
1 was previously tuned but not at 525.
The other I have been avoiding as it has never impressed me in other GT games, and if I could have gotten just a little more understeer out of it, would have been faster!

Anyone wanna guess the 3 PD magic rides?

As mentioned previously, I have been going back through some tunes and adjusting several of them. I have also been testing them on a new custom track that is basically the same length as Midfield and is typically about a second slower. I am ready to start posting those results, which for the most part will not be too surprising, although some tunes did better than expected. If you see a tune that is on my list, it may have been slightly altered and updated but not too far from what is in my tunes list.

The cars:
It started as NSX vs Elise, buying every model and testing them at differing pp levels and grew into testing all in my garage. Purchasing those that I had gotten rid of and then some just to compare. You may notice some cars missing that you might have thought would get tested, I may go back through the dealership and add more later. Can think of quite a few, but want to get through the next group first. As of now, I have done:
400pp - 34
450pp - 96
475pp - 35
500pp - 127
525pp - 58
550pp - only 16 but currently in progress.
400-450pp on Sport Hard, 475pp and up on Sport Soft.

The Track:
Called Wallkill Valley National, 2.16 miles long, 44ft wide, 12 turns built on Eifel. Not a flat track, and no crazy elevation change, but enough to feel natural. Turn 1 feels like Watkins Glen (though not in any GT game), final section before main staight has switchback or S turns similar to Infineon (Sonoma/Sears Point, whatever they call,it now), and overall feels like Midfield in my opinion. It is listed in the data base if you would like to try it out, posts above can help you find it. [Thoughts and feedback of the track always appreciated]

The Rules:
Simple, each car tested in Arcade Mode, grip set to real. ABS 1, TC 0, all others off. Best line on only for consistency though I use my own line according to my driving style. Each tune was given ONLY 4 laps, so most could have been between .10 and .30 faster at least if given more laps. Some, even more because I failed to get 1 really good lap put together of the 4.
For the most part, I tried to keep power limiting at 90% or higher, and tried not to use any ballast to keep tunes as light as possible.

Posting:
I was considering putting the results in 2 posts (SH Tunes/SS Tunes), but since the current count is 366 tunes, I will be breaking them up into separate posts according to pp. I will add some of the faster times from previous level, for exammple, top 10 times for 500pp on the 525pp post. Be sure to check all lists to see how ridiculous PD made some cars in game (looking at you M3 CSL).
**part of the delay in posting results is lack of time. I will be posting and editing over time, so it may take days to finish each list.

Man, that's an old one . Howdy :D. How's It going my good man?
Just done playing with this on the new Suzuka East seasonal event. Had a look at your 450pp list, thinking 'I'll try something different'... but ended up in this instead :dopey:. Nice little drive, pretty neutral all over (but for corner entry, mostly the driver :embarrassed:) After few laps of avoiding accidents and moving chicanes, I found a nice little rhythm and had some fun chucking it through those eases šŸ‘. Transmission was spot on (even though I know you only changed a couple of them so they'd end in a 5 ;)), turned the little Mazda into a bit of a rocket car. Nice work .

As personal preference for the event, I changed up the brakes a little and added another 10% to the rear springs for a little more support in the turns (also helped keep the weight over the front a little bit longer which was ).

Really was a little overkill for the event though. Very easy pass over the NSX-R to lead going into lap 3. Maybe I'll try one of the 400s...

I am doing ok my friend, hope all is well with you across the big pond. That tune has changed, and is not the version that was tested. Still, I like that one, or I did way back when, and found a fun little bugger.
As for the list above, the 450pp list still has more to be added although most of the rest are not so impressive to those already listed. But, if you want a challenge, try the IROC-Z I posted a month or so ago. Not too quick, but should make for less overkill ;).
I will see if I can get the top dog 400pp Miata posted this weekend. It should be only slightly slower than the IROC-Z, or might even be quicker.:indiff:

Nice šŸ‘, when I get a chance, it's the car I will use.

By the way, 450pp list is now complete:)

Now to get the next list up, 475pp. Only NSX, Elise, and a few F-Body GM cars. Did throw in a few FF cars so the Camaros don't feel too slow.

Glad to hear that poor IROC-Z is getting some use.:dopey:
