Okay, standings updated. Looks like everyone enjoyed that one quite a bit, sorry about not making the challenge private..we ended up with a few stragglers but they were rooted out for the results. đź‘Ť

New event goes live at 11PM GMT. We're onto our final Hot Hatch event for the season and also return to the country where Week 1 took place.

Okay, so here we go...time for preliminary information for Season 2.

The basic format is set to stay the same, another ten week schedule that will run from the 26th October till 3rd January. However, the number of events and manner of events will change.

A popular request for the second season was to include sprint events, and I can confirm sprint events will be included, however they will not count toward the main season leader-board. Instead, these events will run in a specific leader-board called the 'Sprint Cup'(original, eh?). The League and Sprint Cup will compile the events for the second season and run concurrently. There will be 10 regular time-trial events and 5 Sprint Cup events, the Sprint Cup events will run each second week(Week 2,4,6,8,10). The top four finishers in the Sprint Cup will qualify for the final 'play-off' round which will be a special Sprint event that only the top four finishers will be invited to, to battle it out for the GTP Play-Off Title.

So, to recap there are 3 possible 'trophies' to win:

-The League title
-The Sprint Cup
-The GTP Play-Off title

More details about rules and regulations will be divulged in the closing week of Season 1, but I can't stress enough how happy I am at the turn-out for this tournament, considering how niche our Driveclub community on GTP is, I have been staggered by the turnout, averaging around 12 participants a week. Thanks to all of you for making this work, in turn I hope I can keep creating events that keep you interested and keep competition alive. As always, feel free to share feedback which will be taken seriously. This is your tournament, I want it to be as enjoyable as possible. :)

Next Friday (The 25th September) I will be away until the 5th October. So 10 Days, this could ultimately give Gazmati the title of the Season which i'm very disappointed to say.

My parents organized this damn trip months before hand so there's no pulling out of it now :(.

Hello Brend,

I would like to try it out if that is a possibillity ? I don't have a lot of spare time so I can't commit myself to every challenge.

That's no problem at all Doblocruiser, send a FR to my PSN and I will forward you this week's challenge asap.

@OzzyOzborne - That's an absolute shame, its been a thrilling battle so far and if it comes to this its just unfortunate. :(

Loving this sprint final idea! Gives me a more realistic target of aiming for 4th. ;)
Glad you like it. :D Thought it would add a bit more excitement to the whole thing.

I'm also hoping to organize some sort of racing tournament once private lobbies get added too.

WEEK 8: The Phantom Putre
Car - Lotus Evora S
Track - Putre(F)
Time - 15:30
Time Lapse - x60
Precipitation: Heavy
Last week's results and corrosponding leaderboard changes will be made on Monday due to having a busy schedule recently.

I have to say that Week's 8 combo is extremely fun đź‘Ť Had a go this morning and the Evora really likes roads like these. It feels grippy even in those conditions and it has great brakes. There are a few parts on the track that are really tricky and caught be by surprise a couple of times.

It's a lot more fun than I expected with heavy rain. The rain is not as bad for visibility as I expected, probably due to the daytime, and the Evora loves to wiggle its tail, which is loads of fun. Still getting to grips with gear choices and the very last section.

Nice combo @Brend

Good to see this one is proving to be a favourite, I loved it when I made it up too. đź‘Ť

Just set a 3:13 on it. Come on guys!, get into gear ;)
Watch it, I'm under 1.5 seconds behind ;)

Edit: On a side note... I think I'm falling in love.

You'll be 4th when this ends :lol: Im going away Friday anyway so this is your chance to get a good spot on the board!
Good luck with that. I'll be watching and improving at the same time ;)
Gee, thanks for the motivation! Have a good trip/holiday/time away! đź‘Ť

I intended to update the leaderboard at work today but the screenshot I took only shows times from #2 to #12. :dunce:

I promise I will get it done tonight after I come home from the Celtic game tonight. đź‘Ť

If Evo had released their bloody app this wouldn't be an issue... :P

I have no idea how to find another 10 seconds  "No More Tears" Ozzy would say. Maybe I will give it "A shot in the dark" or i'll "Bark at the Moon...:D and soon i'll be a "Killer of Giants".....:odd:

Well so far for my personal time, I am still very happy :)

Glad you are having fun, Doblo. Also, can someone put in the thread the winner and winning time from last week's challenge. I forgot to note it down last night. :dunce: If someone can do that it means I can finally update the leader-board.

Being the winner is sooo overrated these days. But if you really must know, it was that damn Arsenalkid again, with a 3:13.566

;)

Closely watching this week's leaderboard for a certain @Denur. ;)
Closed the gap to #1 to about 4 seconds. I see maybe 1 second of improvement, but that's about it. The current numbers one and two are just too good.

Really enjoying these events Brend. I'm a bit confused about the leader board though. Not all scores in the top 5 seem to add up correctly. :embarrassed:
Really? I will have a look. Sometimes I forget to add points to the individual point totals and that can muck that part up. However, be assured the actual point totals are absolutely fine. đź‘Ť I always double check to be sure.

If the numbers in the sheet are correct, I get 128 for Ozzy, i.s.o 148; 71 for Zonda, i.so. 82 and 53 for Denur, i.s.o. 48.
