Bring Back GT1 & GT2 Cars As DLC?

I know that this has been mentioned before, but I thought I would bring this up, because I've been thinking about this a lot lately....

Wouldn't it be sweet if KY and PD actually brought back EVERY SINGLE CAR from GT1 and 2 as Downloadable Content? I would really love to ride the Wiegert Vector W8 Twin Turbo, Venturi Atlantique 400GT, or even the Renault Espace F1 from GT2, or even the race cars from GT1.

So, what do you guys think?

be nice, but, remember, that GT1 and 2 cars are simply polygon shells with none of the intricate detail a la 3/4/5's roster. they'd have to find them again, as well.

there's an ancient wishlist with every car in existance out there on here.

I have always said that Sony should re-release GT1 and GT2 on the PSN store (just imagine being able to play those games on the road on your PSP), but I like your idea too. There are two problems though: 1) Cars take much, much longer to model for GT5 then they did back then, and 2) Polyphony would have to do a lot of re-licensing.

Don't know why but I have a feeling PSP GT will resurface at GDC or E3 as an extention announcement of GT5.

Considering I did buy a PSP 3 years ago for GT Mobile..lol.

Personally, what I'd much prefer is GT1 and 2 INBUILT into the game, with everything beaten and unlocked, all cars in the garage and so on and so forth! Of course, it'll be nowhere as realistic as GT5, but they'll probably have updated it, and there's nothing wrong with a bit of retro, right?

Definitely bring them back. Why as DLC though?

The more tracks in the full game the better, that way they can be encorperated into the 'career mode'.

They should do it like Metal Gear Solid 4 did the MGS1 skin in the game. They should be the PS1 models in the GT5 world. Would be really fun.

-> I don't mind about DLC for GT1->GT3 cars as long it can be deducted through my game credits in GT5, not real life money. ;)

-> And original old school tracks (ie. SSR11 GT1 ver. and Red Rock Valley) would be nice also. :)
