According to reports update fixes "Tire-wear speed adjustment" Does this mean it may be better running hards as they will last longer. If it does the feature races should bring a few different strategies. Maybe 3 secs a lap slower but a sure 1 stopper.

They don't. Do not even try using different tires, since they have no difference whatsoever in how long they last - only the amount of grip decreases when you switch to a harder compound.

I think tire compound does make a difference actually, I'm going by remembering how my NASCAR Trucks were at HSR compared to V8's on tyres...

Well it certainly didn't in the past, and I have had experience!

Just like to take a minute to thank everyone for their continued support for the V8 series this year its been a blast on the whole i hope!?! A bigger thanks goes to my mate and co-host Gedi for putting up with me when ive been a bit over sensitive at times:guilty: Happy Chrimbo to all next race 2012!!:)

I'm racing in a room of unrestricted NASCAR drivers, and there soft tyres are gone after 10 laps at Daytona Oval!!!

Lol likewise partner, think we've both had our ups & downs. Roll on 2012/S3 another year of close racing.

Just to say, racing softs will last say 10 laps on a regular track, hards only last as long because you try to drive them like the softs, which means putting a lot of grunt to keep up = same wear rate

Racin yesterday was pretty damn sweet :D
R1 was so epic !!
Nel/Jonzter and myself where drivin like cheetahs on crack. I did 1:01´s(.546 as fastest) and only one lap over 1:02 !!!
That was some pretty hard stuff. I needed the short break after R1.
@Jonzter: You spun/drifted I tried to go the outsideline => I touched the Wall and almost spun. But we catched Nel :D

I couldn´t go past the MP4 I just could use the draft but not go side-by-side.
=> 0.256 as final "GAP" :D

R2:
Was nice too. I hit gedi at the T1 incident. Just saw smoke and wanted to be the Cole Trickle (Days of Thunder by the way) but no luck :D
Anyway could get some draft and fought my way back up. RP did great during the first stint but he went to the pits at Lap 14.
Jonzter and Nel where on my back again respectively gone away :D
I pitted at Lap 21 and was doing 1:04´s (.8xx).
19seconds behind Jonzter and I could hold this Gap. He pitted again => me on 1 again.
JB was doing great till his DQ. And after that I had a 14second Lead over Jonzter and the last 7 Laps where on.
I was doing mid 1:02´s => I thought win is on.
I then had almost a Race-changing incident with Grayfox. I lapped him with 50% Tires => he had better Tires and I thought reovertake me and I´ll stay behind.
At Lap 37 final turn he rammed me quite hard and I almost spun out.
After that I drove it home. (Did a honking/light-show at the final Straight xDD)

Unlucky situation for me and Grayfox. He wanted to get RP and I was to slow due to bad tires. Nothing happend => we forget about that :D
