Race 1 should be a measure of who is fastest, so they actually start at the back rather than just finishing first because another guy managed tires better

I think the race distance is good this way, but the problem is, even hards wear out way too quickly. This is nothing even remotely close to fun, this is unrealistic and I can't believe they have messed the game up so badly in such a short time. I don't see any future with this system.

Not tried it myself but I noticed starting from 3rd gear full pelt in a 1027 hp speed 12 took my back tires down 20%

Racing Hards can do what the Racing Softs used to do, mediums midway between softs and hards, and softs are good for qualifying only. I'm liking this, gives more power back to the driver.

Here's a hint, don't use softs.

AT Le Mans:

Soft tyres 2 laps
Medium tyres 5 laps
Hard Tyres 9 laps.

Also, most series have been running Racing Hards since they were the most realistic, but I wouldn't be surprised if they change to Racing tyres, meaning they can have from Hard-Soft, I think this should be done for Season 3, we could have 2-3 stop strategies running beside each other and racing soft 5 lap stints if you're really desperate near the end.

But this is just too unrealistic. The previous tyre wear was better, why not keep the softs as they are and make mediums and hards last longer, as someone said on the GT5 general forum? Now every race is just filled with pitstops and it's no longer fun when you don't even have to do the work on track to gain position.

It should be like GT4 with 5 separate racing compounds. In GT4 terms the tyres would be Super Soft-Soft-Medium.

I still prefer it this way, it's not like you're racing against people with the old tyre wear on, so we're on a level playing field.

On a side note: if any one does the seasonal's for extra creds etc go back into the "world classic and super gt" if you have already won the 5 races you will get a level 18 and 20 tickets. Think the others give you a level 2 and 3.
