Tyre Test Audi R8 Autumn Ring.

Softs= 7 laps.
Mediums= 10 laps
Hards= 13 laps

I was generally 1.5/2secs slower on the mediums and 2.5/4secs slower on the hards the game feels alot more like a simulator now think thats a good thing imo No longer does the Audi feel like a superglued go-kart you actually have to drive the thing now on mediums/hards (if that makes sense). The new dynamics certainly reward the smooth (Jenson) style driver which for me i also like:tup: Understand clearly why Carbonox wouldnt be impressed on the limit sure is punished especially if you out brake yourself(SMOKE!)
Not to sure were this test leaves us for the AR lap count however will discuss further in stewards forum.
Taking some getting used to admittedly but warming to the new concept

They should've made that new tyre wear optional at least. There's a lot of us in this series who certainly don't like this new system and I believe we shouldn't just accept all the crap PD throws at us like this...

Well what do you suggest Carb? looks like we either like it or lump it "Alot of us dont like the new system" might be just me but who else dosent like it then i havent noticed another complaint here?? Even the tyre cruncher Furi said he liked it i think.

It is not realistic. Hards don't last so little, they should be able to 1 stop a race while mediums would be better for 2 stops and softs for 3 stops. This is too exaggerated to ever work properly in online racing.

Yeah i do agree the wear is exaggerated dont get me wrong would have been more than happy for things to be left alone (especially being an Audi driver!) But guess we have to get used to it now.
Myself and gedi have had a breif discussion looking forwards to S3 the sprint(race 1) will probably be tyre wear turned off on R/Softs for an out an out sprint fest. (and half point values of race2)
Race 2 however will involve tyre wear and pit stop stratagies we havent decided as yet to keep it simple and use R/Hards only or use all 3 compounds.💡

Well, believe it or not, I think my GT5 career is close to being done. I have no motivation to race with arcade tyre wear (in TOCA I will still compete because it's wear-free) but apart from that, don't expect me to appear in any future series unless an update fixes things. GT5 has killed my free time anyway so it's okay if I end up quitting altogether from it.

Yeah, right, it's weird... When arcade draft was around, I still continued to race because I knew it would be turned off for everything in the not-so-distant future, but right know one can't be sure if we'll ever get rid of this. Better just boycott the game than take the crap, I like SR3 more anyway.

Tire wear is now increased => more pitstops
=> wayne
The fun isn´t gone because everybody has increased Tire wear.

It is not perfect, but at least the RH last longer than the RS

Off topic picked up Fifa 12 today how long does it take to get used to the new defence/tackling engine??

Its like when yotube changed everyone for a few days was like 'this is rubbish' and then eventually everyone got used too it .

I dont have FIFA 12 yet been too busy playing GT5 to get it (plus i hardly ever played FIFA 11), but I went round a mates recently to play it and was completely fine with it staight away. 👍

As for what Carbon says re: tyres etc. My attitude is that if I want to carry on playing GT5 (and I do), I'll
have to adapt to the quirks that PD send our way

Glad you guys like the current system, so the good series won't die when I become a goner. Sorry but I'm not taking PD's crap like a puppet, so I'm almost 100% definitely a goner from GT5 online as soon as TOCA S4 ends.

Seven and Trajikone were in front of me scrapping hard and having shots each of running wide ect. I was driving my usual tidy but slow managed to catch and pass on second last lap which is what you would expect IRL. So early opinion on the new physics 👍
