I've not tried the new weight of 1420 yet, but I don't think I get close to 2:35s.
Never mind thinking of a 2:34!!!

Klutch not god is he

Hey guys experimenting complete 2.34.5s -2.35.5 seems to be my 1 second zone. Consistency is what I'm breaking down right now. More final tweaks to be completed. Tmw I should have it complete. Thanks for putting me on the list. This is really fun

Well done K1utch, you're super quick.

Don't forget that currently you're only a reserve, so you may not get called up to race for a while yet, it all depends on whether we have any drop-outs from the series.

I think reserves are called upon in order that they join, but it's rare to have all reserves online at race time anyway. Lol. So fingers crossed you'll get a chance sooner or later.

My broadband 'should' get sorted today, I'm now waiting on the BT Openreach guy to turn up. Let's hope that he brings good news.

D-Day :sly:

If it works I'll be joining Street at Chivas, if it doesn't then I think Street is teaming with canyon and I'll probably go Independent at that point.

Bt should be sort of ok m8, I moved from BT 8mb to sky 16mb.
And the sky was at best just a little slower than the BT, plus I seemed to get kicked off the sky here and there.

Only one down side with BT there wireless side of things is crap.
But you should be able to run your own router, in less your going Firbe then you stuck with the crap wireless router.

Anyone got a rock I can hide under :nervous:
True-blue you need to speed up pal :scared:

I'll be on a wired connection. I've already got a new ethernet cable through to the ps3, so it should be good to go.

Openreach have been and the guy didn't realise that I was having a new line installed, he can't go up the pole because of its age either. Thankfully he's a good chap, he has done what's needed on the house and at the cabinet, we're just waiting on a cherry picker to get the cable attached to the pole.

So far so good, a slight hiccup with not being able to get up the pole but I expected something. Lol.

Back to waiting for the cherry picker man to arrive now.

What if a signed in driver forfeits his spot?

I think it's criminal to have him out if he's that fast; i would give him my spot and do pre-qualy instead; i'm sure nel would get a brillant teammate

Right with test gearing and new weight, I got a PB of 2:36.266.
With the race gearing what's a little higher geared I've got a PB of 2:36.522.

That's 1 second better than trail time with weight at 1450. time 2:37.294

So doing some more trail times with new weight of 1420.
PB of 2:35.858, bad thing Is I know I can knock a full 1 second of that.
Plus I guess it's off line times hmm.

I'll get some more testing done tomorrow, just wanted Rolo to see my times plus a little feed back.
The Nissan at 1420 does seem alot faster than I thought it would be.
If I get it right high speed bends can be taken almost flat out :nervous:
With drivers with a wheel I think them bends could be done flat out, It hard to say really.
There a real fine line of making it, to really going off track :embarrassed:

What will blue do with 1420 weight?
Got a feeling he will hit a 2:35, just not sure if he on pad or wheel.

Well reserves tend to be promoted in priority of the order they signed up...

Fast or not, if someone doesn't sign up in time it doesn't give them priority over someone who did.

Offline will be about a second up on online times. Physics are completely different.

K1utch can you test your times in the Nissan with 1450 weight.

That was the weight first told them the Nissan drivers had a little moan and Rolo dropped it to 1420.
As Rolo himself found the 5 speed box was letting the car down.

Then you came along and started doing times of 2:34.
The main battle in making the races great is a fair as it can be grid line up.
You maybe a super driver or a super setup wiz or both

But I've noted a big change in the Nissan going to 1420, me not the best of drivers and me getting a 2:36.552.
Well I have a good setup on the nissan only me to let it down really

Right, done some testing of the Nissan using a tune MadBean gave me.

Both runs an out lap followed by 3 quick laps.

At 1450kg - 2:36.618 (I could probably have improved by around 0.5 on this)
At 1420kg - 2:35.699 (again, maybe a couple of tenths lost at Blanchimont)

Bear in mind, without any sort of setup except for Max Speed, at 1450 I did a 2:37.2 about a week ago.

So.... too quick at 1420? Or just fine?

I would say too quick , my best was 36 1 and I did a 35 9 in qualy last week which was a perfect lap .

Id say find a middle ground between 1420 and 1450 , 1440 perhaps

How does it perform at other tracks ?

Feeling bad i chose the bmw over the jdm car now :(

Hmm. I'm thinking the same if I'm honest. It could have been a 36.1 at 1450 if I'd carried on, and that seems like enough to me. FRs are supposed to be at a slight disadvantage to FF cars on speed tracks like this one. 1440 seems like a good concession, agreed?

Not sure about other tracks because I've only run there without tuning (is it just me who thinks tuning has a much bigger impact on GT6 than GT5?).. a lot of the tracks are reasonably similar to this though so you'd expect more of the same roughly.

Just a note - you are welcome to switch cars until Thursday if you want to, provided there's space.

Ok I got data for you guys. A low 2.35 is still possible and I'm averaging 2.35.5 thru high 2.35s. My pb right now is a 2.35.3. Seems 1450 kg is more fair I would guess?

Well my setup good lots of work gone in to it really, I could maybe meet my gearing half way.
Thought we had real draft from cars, so 5th maybe to high now.

But I'm also starting to know spa well.
There 2 things in this race to think about:
1: your driving
2: your setup

Tomorrow I will give the BMW a test got a setup for it, so It should not be a slow car.
But I'm happy to give the Nissan 1440, just as long my BMW setup don't blow my Nissan away.

I finished my nightshift this morning, plus had a beer now.
So testing BMW now would just be wrong only 3 hours to go and I've been up for 24 hours.

Just knocks me back into the land of the living for a few days really ;)

You still hitting 2:35s with 1450 set, you need to slow down m8 ;)

mr. Rolo I feel 1450 is perfect I dnt think you should reduce the weight. I'm still able to manage mid 35s in the car. Are you sure sir?

I think your speed is exceptionally good so to use that as a measure of the car's performance would be unfair for the other guys who aren't as fast. 10kgs will probably make almost no difference anyway. :) 👍

Would you be able to test some of the other cars to give us a comparison based upon your ability? If you're a 'driving god' then perhaps basing a potential weight drop/increase only the only car you've driven would be unfair.

well im definitely no driving god lolol. I just play all the time cause im training for gt academy this year lolol. BUt id love to help with giving you the data you would like. I have some free time later tonight after my classes are complete. Give me the specs of the cars you would like me to test and ill try my best to give you accurate data

Cool so Nissan up to 1440, did seem to good at 1420 really.
K1utch I guess be in part one of race if he gets in there.

I'm sure he meet us locked in drivers.
We are locked in down to the first gt6 race with meganes.

If you make it K1utch, ok with rolo that in main race your will to add the 10kg making the your nissan the only 1450 one in the main race.

Coming from qrtintheshade saying your quick if unreal as he a quick.
But as a test to yourself if you make it in race that Nissan at 1450 and rolo will test your weight at call in.
Will just prove to me the car in front a nissan, just I'm in a nissan too :banghead:
