If I come 2nd in race 1 then come 10th in race 2 my overall position is 6th... 2 + 10 = 12 ... 12 / 2 = 6..... This will be written down , including both groups. To make one table of overall finishing places.

A sheet of A4 and a pen is all I need.

Then after sorting everyone using average positions.

We get top 3 performers.

And the table we will use to get the next round groups sorted, odds in one group, evens in another.

Sorry,

Again I think your over complicating it.

What if I was to come 6th in both races? 6 + 6 = 12 ... 12 / 2 = 6

I would be average of 6th the same as some one who finished 2nd then 10th (or any other combo which adds to the same numbers) :nervous:

That means you performed (on average) the same...
So you would be in equal place on the average finishers table.
I guess we should turn to alphabetical order or something, you think of a simple yet better way of rotating the groups and we will use your way.

How about this as an idea:

Race 1 overall time + race 2 overall time ÷ 2 = final position.

This could be done without the division to give a similar result.

Would mean that we would have to watch the replays back and get everyones overall time, then add them and divide them. It's just the same idea using the times instead of positions.

I prefer the positions idea tbh.

Seems easier.

If someone has the same overall position, the guy with the highest position in any 1 of the 2 races gets the higher place.

2nd then 10th and 6th then 6th.

2nd and 10th gets the higher spot ahead of 6th then 6th.

Just got a PM about a new addition to the BTCC. So this means we have a full 32 people field now. No more additions from now on. Some may / will drop out or not show up, they will be replaced if someone wants the spot.

If someone doesn't show in 2 races without letting me or another D-MAX member know, they will be removed.

Also on the ballast subject. Jimmy knows this better than I do, I don't want to explain it and get it wrong so ask him... the D-MAX account usually has him logged into it.

I'm interested in racing this series, possibly with the Volvo C30, I just need a team-mate if anyone here is without one :)

Hmm, never noticed. Will find out when I get chance. If it does we will use your way. Probably.

You can join a reserve list I guess but we have 32 people at the moment, so cannot take on anymore, the likelihood of all 32 showing is small, so I have no doubt you will get in. But in the interest of fairness I cannot guarantee that.

According to the website including you there are 18 teams (7th is repeated twice lol and Slide Styles aren't in the list :/)
this means , 2 per team = 36 people, there are 32, so I think that means we have 4 people in one person teams. Think its Tigersport, UPSHIFT RACING, jfraceway and you mate.

Sundays @ 6pm GMT, pretty much unless half the people here can't make it, then we will be forced to re-arrange, getting a time that perfectly suits everyone would be near impossible.

By forward an hour do you mean shift it to 7pm? If so then brilliant! I can even afford the luxury of tea before the race ;) if everyone else is free, obviously.

yes yes, everyone ok with this ?

6:40pm start
15 min practice
10 min qualifying
15min race no pitstop
5 min break
35 min race with pitstop and revers order starting grid

How does that sound?

Small Qualy window to make it interesting, you still get testing time in the practice though...

15 mins will strain the tires but it will be interesting

35 mins will also strain the tires and the pitstop will be interesting due to needing a good strategy, pit to early and the big lap count will cause you to loose all traction by the end of the race.

Tire conservation will come into this I hope.

That race schedule sounds great. Is there an option for reversing the grid in the lounge settings, or will we have to line up in free run then start the race?

Also, am I the only person using the 330i?

It looks good. I hope i can make it.
Sometimes i have guests for dinner at 8, so kind of hard to race in that situation.
But if we can make that schedule i will be ok, i think.

Yes there is a reverse grid start, altho you can only have 1 option:

False Starts
Fastest First
Slowest First
Reverse Order

So it should be ok :)

Agreed :)

I think I'm the only one using the C30 :)

Just out of interest, ive been doing times around 1:39 on Nurburgring GPD (abs 0) so would anyone be willing to divulge any times they have achieved on Nurburgring GPD, because my C30 has the 355bhp, weighs 1188kg, yet annoyingly my pp is 506 -.-

I just want to make to see how I'm competitive (or not) I am :P

Most people are running laps on Grand Valley East at the moment at between 1:05-1:08 so if your inbetween those you should be good 👍

EDIT:

Just ran 1 lap of that track and did 1:38.826 (using Racing Mediums), i'm running 344bhp with 1018kg at 500PP
