I've had a read through a lot of the posts in this thread and it looks like a great championship.

I'm looking to return to some online racing and I wondered if there is space for me to join up?

Cheers guys.

Sure, feel free :)

What's your car number and entry name going to be?

Another new driver. 👍 That's a lot of newcomers this season.

@flimbo84 - Welcome to the BTCC. :) Have you done much online racing in a racing series before?

I think half the field is new!

I think it's time to remind everyone of the Pre-Qualifying system. There is a chance this could be needed this week, as there are now again more drivers (who will actually race) than lobby places, so let me explain how it works.

The Top 10 in the Drivers' Championship are automatically guaranteed a race start for the whole night. If a steward is outside the Top 10, then only the Top 9 in points are locked-in. Remaining drivers from 11th downwards will need to pre-qualify.

At 6.45pm UK time (so 15 minutes earlier than usual start time), there is an 8-minute Qualifier (the same as what Race 1 Qualifying is but two minutes shorter). This session begins at 6.45, and cannot be joined once started, and so if you cannot make it in time, then you're out. Please remember this if it affects you!

The fastest six drivers in the session will make it through to the races. Those who do not pre-qualify will be reserves in the priority order of where they finished in the session.

A race will begin after the Qualifier, and you are not allowed to drive. Please remain on the start line until results are noted, and you are asked to quit.

If a locked-in driver misses, say, Race 1, the first reserve will be allowed to race, but must leave when the locked-in driver arrives. Same applies for other races if you're still online by that point.

👍

Thanks, Rolo. It looks like 84 is free, so I'll take that and I'll go under the name of Flimbo Racing Developments.

Thanks for the welcome, Ian. I raced in quite a lot of championships on GT5. I've not done as much on GT6 but I'd like to think I'm as fair as they come but love a good battle.

Does anybody test/practice for the championship online between races?

That's great to hear Flimbo. :D

Yes, there are some guys that do a bit of practising and testing during the week and I'm usually about on race day. Add the other drivers to your psn friends list and keep an eye out.

👍

As a little add-on to this, since canyondrifter has left the series, @STOCKY8A1 will count as the 10th locked-in driver.

1:21.445 any good!

As for testing me back on shift today, but I've worked it so I've got training on Thursday.
That gives me Wednesday night off, so I hope to get some testing in on Wednesday.
Maybe from 15:00 to 20:00, Thursday going to be a bit of a rush to get home.

As I think training ends about 17:00 be ok if the weather dry I'll just take the blade in.
But if wet I have to sit in the traffic all the way home :grumpy:

Hello guys, just checking in as I got my password sorted.

Can I make a few changes to my entry details, I'll be racing using wambam23 from now on and I'd like Cosmo Attack as my team name.

wambam23 / wambam23 / #23 / Cosmo Attack (I)

Thanks,

Adam

Noted - please add me on PSN again 👍

Just a heads up I'll be missing from:
5. Tokyo R246 - 30/10/14
6. Monza - 06/11/14

As am planned to be on shift for them, guess there be my dropped scores.

P.s any news on Btcc 9 yet or will that be starting in the new year?
