I'm off now, got man flu again :(
Skeng dam quick but me and my man flu not making me good.
12 hour shift last night and 2 hours sleep this morning not doing me no favours.
Thanks to next door banging and drilling again this morning (🤬)
Took tonight off as well wacked really, and head cold just making my eyes hurt :guilty:

Plus trying to brake when a sneeze come on a nightmare.
I try and test again tomorrow, hoping I feel a little better.
Need to learn pit lane here a bit, as small race when I want to pit.
I just went flying past it, hmm testing.

Skeng should be back on later

Guys - issue.

Something important's come up and I'm not personally going to be able to race tomorrow night.

I'm more than willing to take a drop score and hand over hosting duties to one of my stewards - @Ian_83 @SkengD @AudiMan2011 - but if you'd rather cancel and take the mid-season break this week instead of next week that's also cool.

Majority rules, but I'm not gonna be racing. I might be able to do Race 3 but that would be that.

I can host , I will go with a public lounge though .

If anything what I would like is for myself , Ian and Street be the first 3 in the lounge in case I dc .

Any 3 of us can host , I should be online by 1830 tomorrow .

Also , If its better for my teammate Capn to have an off week this week Ill support his decision .

I don't mind really, I would rather postpone but don't put me either way as I am not effected either way (unless its a tie breaker vote of course)

i would skip this unsuitable track. in any case i do not think i can be on grid tomorrow so i guess what happens happens

I'll do my best to race but I've got my hands pretty tied up with my puppy at the moment.

Not all that fussed either way. Perhaps postponing it would be for the best, at least we'll then have all 4 usual stewards to cover the race. 👍

I actually agree with Karsten about Deep Forest. It is a classic track, which I really like due to it's technical nature, but its not really suited to such a close pack of cars like ours. I predict a mess.

So

2 Yes
3 No
2 On The Fence

To people on the fence - get off the fence.

It almost sounds like it would be best to cancel judging by the response. Only one (Mad) has actually said yes I definitely want to race.

Can I ask for a 2 week break then?

Also in agreement with Ian and Kartsen, GV a great track.
But close pack racing, could lead to one of the messes races to date.

Plus turn 3 maybe a case of stewards watching all drivers laps to make sure they not cut it off.
Turn 4 I think will see alot of reports as well really.
Then there the final few turns get it right there can be over 10mhp diffrents with a car not getting it right.
So if car in front gets it a little wrong car behind got two options.
One hit the other car or two run off track.

OK the No's have it - MEETING POSTPONED.

How's this for a compromise @CptMadBean? We do Round 4 next week as planned, which you'd miss, but then we took another week off after that before Round 5 so you only miss your two drop score rounds?

Not really hugely supportive of a track change. I understand the concerns but isn't part of the challenge to drive clean and overcome that?

Yep, I agree it is a challenge to ensure that you're clean. But if someone else is struggling with this track the resulting chaos will be awful and really difficult to avoid.

To add to that, the track limits in sector 1 are going to get broken by most of the field during the race. You can gain half a second in there by nibbling off a couple of corners and that's damn irritating to those that keep it within the linits.

I'll race DF, grudgingly, but just don't expect it to go smoothly. It's not designed for our type of racing and that could be partly due to it not being an actual real racing circuit.

Does everybody feel that way?

I do agree stewarding could be a nightmare with a full field here.

Again, I'll go with the majority view on this issue but if there is a track change I'll make the change rather than put it to vote.
