All being well I'll be on the grid Friday. Radical change of setup has lost me a few tenths but gained tire life so hopefully I'll be consistent with Lap times instead of dropping off after a couple. No doubt that'll change after being punted off a few times though :D

Shame you can't have speed and tyre life :indiff:
Also being punted is part of touring car racing  Although we should not take advantage of that :grumpy:

Please be careful tommorow everyone

Something I find funny...
I did a couple of 1.09.6s in the practice race, but my best in practice is a 1.10.3 (very consistent)

Weird how I discover new skillz in the race

I hope your joking there Geeky theres no reason for the amount of "punting" that went on in season 1:yuck: I for one wont be sticking around if it continues.:grumpy:

Bit of draft assistance maybe Rob?

Don't worry, I will investigate with my stewards for season 2 :sly:

Not sure as I think I was in the lead when I set that laptime

Agreed JB, things are gonna get bunched together but heavy contact is very avoidable

Although I think Geeky meant that as a joke. Not sure when the 'punting' thing came into the real BTCC as it wasn't like that when I started watching it. Meh, I'm sure we'll behave ;)

i usually find a 0.3 seconds in race from my training times... guess it's a matter of concentration...

also the setups behave VERY differently while racing than training... i'll never understand that!

That's true... I tend to get slightly more understeer in the races, probably because I'm pushing harder

Last season, whenever I thought I had a good setup for the race, I met up just to find out the car was sliding like House Entertainment Lethal Laps (read the capitals and you get the word)

we had the same with m3 on the volvo... 3 hours of tests, setting and exchanging setups just before the race, then in race the car behaved completely differently than just a few mins before...

we complained about it in season 1 too... we had to revert to old setup after R1!

Hey fellas just getting caught up with btcc s2, it's Thursday Night finally. Just found out I'm getting a wheel within a week or so (depending on what ebay has in stock), but I was wondering this question?

I was thinking of getting the Fanatec GT3 RS model since is only 300.00 now, but is the CSR Elite really worth it? If it is I'll pay the cash!

If you have £300 to spend I'd recomend the g27. Its a great wheel with great pedals...

It takes a few hours to get used to it...

I've a G25 and love it. You sometimes can't catch a slide as quick as you have more than a full turn to get opposite lock, but the fine control you get more than makes up for it. Never tried a Fanatec but have read good reports about them. There are some Fanatecs that can be used on PS or Xbox, if you have an Xbox as well i would say go for the Fanatec. Are the pedals included, as Fanatec sell some wheels without pedals

Just to be assured: the 15 minute qualifying starts at 19:00 bst tomorrow? And the race about just after?
