Is Rally morten in tonight? Hoping the checks/entry procedures go smoother this time.:nervous::nervous:

You know what. This is the culprit to the qualifying grid. When you change regulations, the qualifying somehow doesnt register properly. Its happened to me in my series.

If it happens again tonight then I dont even see the point in qualifying....I've devised a new plan but wont reveal now as I fear anarchy amongst the ranks...:P

the problem that messes all up it's not reg change, but people entering and exiting and CHANGING SETUP.

that really messes up all!

Yeah that too....We need to enforce this rule...

The test night showed it will work as will the checks its just the host needs to make a note of the qualifying line up once we are ready to race. Once he has the grid line up he resets track enters the cars for checks then types out the order everyone has to line up in then simply start race its very easy and secure when people get used to it.

yeah last week's qualifying system didn't work so well. I would have started 11th if I didn't come out of the pits just in time to find my slot.

Still, I'm sure everything's in hand and that the new system will be run tonight.

But the thing about noting the grid positions is that not everyones leaderboard displays the same lineup....For me it always says im on pole even though I know I messed up the lap...thats another glitch in the system...

I think this maybe the first time we used this, as I was pressured into just letting us race... "we will be ok"

I will be noting it all down and will get it right otherwise a shufle grid maybe used due to the automatic qualifying being... a bit silly

I have another idea that might give us more overtaking. It was a thing me and my brother used for a Series with lego F1 cars: base R1 grid on championship points, e.g. the leader starts at the back :)

Interesting idea, I like it 👍
If it fails tonight then that will plan b

That was my plan too...great minds think alike i guess...

Thats not a bad idea atall:idea: So reset track at 7pm , do checks as we enter track, then line up in reverse of championship order and start race i like it!!👍

KK you have a valid point as to the grid line up system the reason it works so well for us is we do quali during the week so simply all line up and start race when we are ready.:indiff:
Another reason why the above idea will work very well for this series.:)

The reverse championship grid works well because that way its not all about one lap pace but about your race craft....plenty of overtakes in the replays me thinks...:P

Yay and it will be alot easier to manage car reg checks each week:sly: even being a back starter im deffo game.👍👍

Potential for a lot more accidents though....PLEASE BE CAREFUL IN TURN 1...The camber makes it difficult to judge your speed, before you know it you will have sideswipped a car....I think im gonna just hang back and watch the action. Plenty of opportunities to overtake in sector 2....

I like the championship grid idea for race 1... it eliminates all the fannying around in quali when no-one knows what anyone's on about

So quali would just be turned into a practice session, then we'd join the track again and line up in reverse championship order?

To answer both of your questions:

we'll start in the same order in both races or use the reverted grid in race 2?

The idea was using reverse championship for race 1, and sticking to "normal" reverse grid for race 2. But both can be done.

also what in case of racers with the same points?

In case 2 or more drivers have the same points, we do as in F1: most wins will decide the leader (kinda the same as in S1, nuff said :) ). If that's a tie, then most 2nd places etc. :)

Lol...then i guess we'll do who joined the series first...

If not, i think alphabetical order will suffice....

OK, just for fun I've worked out how the championship would look when equal points are deicded by wins, 2nd places etc.:

1st Johnboy-1975-
2nd cosworth-1986
3rd rolo912011
4th Geeky30
5th cunny17
6th Killa Kandy
7th JoetruckV8
8th sc61jgw
9th Karsten beoulve
10th Aesys
11th captainhelmet
12th wackyhokeykid9

Reverse this and we have the grid for R1 if we use my system. Ofcourse newcomers will have to be put into the equation too.

Julle and gedi were missing last week so I guess Gedi starts on pole since they each have 0 points...

Quite simple really. If there's two or more drivers on 0 points, then the driver with the better result should start behind.

In the case of newcomers then yeah, I guess the newest driver at the front.

If julle turns up then I guess it depends when you joined, if we're running that system. Either way, pole or 2nd.
