i think there's still a couple of spots available. ask geeky. and check if you want to enter as a privateer or as a team

Hi guys this looks awesome. Is it to late to join?

Welcome to :gtpflag:

As said above, if Geeky gives you green light you can race.. Hope he does as that means even more competition :D

And adding to the name discussion thing, I'd say maybe we should have an official BTCC S2 and maybe in that season run GTC as a "support" championship to see who has interest (though I doubt it'll be that less popular, the cars and regulations are almost the same)

i'm a bit uncertain if partecipating or not at Monza... why running test laps with tire degradation on i noticed (beside being awfully off-pace) that the car changes the braking point from lap to lap in quite an extreme way... i wouldn't want to cause a pile up like the one i was involved at Suzuka.

on the other hand even a last place grants points to the team...

Volvo Official Announcement: If a driver does not participate in a race, he will not be paid :D

Mate, think about the team, we need your points, we are 3th (I dont know for how long...) and you never know what could happen...;)

btw, do not expect following races would be better for us...

You could take my spot? Subject to Geeky's approval. Friday is the last race I am able to compete in, can send you a nice orange 330 with a decent baseline setup.

Yeah, a 3rd BMW would still be nice, can help us hold those 🤬 Honda's back :)

Just heard from our possible SC driver, he's interested but needs some final confirmation to whether or not he can be there (he's US)

Driving lines allowed use it cant hurt.💡

are you playing with manual gearing or a wheel? a friend brought me a driving force gt wheel but is was unusable,,, to turn you would have to rotate the wheel way too much and it would get crazy jumping left to right for no reason on straightways :D i read they fixed something with with wheels on last update...

can't play manual gear with pad, i get pain in my hands :ouch:

i know what could help! can you guys give me your split times along the track? or a normal fast lap not your best record i mean, to see where i'm losing 4 seconds...

might be that i "cut" too little the chicanes?

I play with DFGT and I don't even have to cross my hands to turn...
I remember that at the begining I was very insecure with the wheel and I felt more confortable with the gamepad, but when you overcome this step... It's like playing another game :)

I use DS3 just because I don't know any different

Used a wheel for the PS2 for a short time but it wasn't really practical.

Btw, new personal best: 2.03.8

i think that wheel is broken then... it was so hard it would lift the table, and i had to turn it soooooo much to steer very little.

Manuals always quicker short shifting and gear use for braking can both save you time and get you out of trouble. I use a DFGT with a wheelstand pro its does me just fine.:)

btw, what's part of the track and what's not?

If you look at our BST V8 Challenge S4 thread opening page theres a guide there which most deem fair and unfair the pictures are infact of one of Monza's chicanes.;)

oooook. i'm an idiot for training all the time with sport hard tires.

also i added some rear downforce and got a pretty unique
2.05.764

with most of the laps in 2.06.x

sounds a little better already, but i don't see much "fat" to trim
