Multicar teams are allowed (and the Ebay Motors offer just might turn into reality if you do good enough)

I think multiple teams can run the same car as well (as long as that car is not flooding the series as it (on the signup list) looks like the Focus is..)

I think you just have to add Geeky30 on PSN and in the comment say that you'd like to enter this 👍 good to hear that we almost have players from all over the world (we only miss an Aussie and some Asians  ), gotta be a popular one!

I shall get hold of Geeky and request a signup.
Is there a test run required or something prior to entering?

Not as for what I know.. I think we can use this race tomorrow as your "qualification" ;)

Wow... lots of new interest :D

Just to confirm, the 135i was outlawed early on and replaced by the 330i, but the OP wasn't updated... for Season 2 we should have a definite car list from the beginning.

So what is the final specs on the 330i. I feel I should put in some testing tonight.
Whats the target times?

I know the 330i has to run at 1300kg but I'm in doubt about the HP as we had a huge arguing at Cape Ring, but it's either 295 or 305 :)

And just to summarise again (daym I need to make a Word doc. with those cars so I don't have to look through all these pages :) ) Yet-to-be-finally-confirmed-Season 2 car list:

Honda Accord Euro-R '00 + '02
Nissan Primera 2.0Te '90 (no 2000 version as it's ugly and never raced the BTCC)
Vauxhall/Opel Vectra 3.2
Peugeot 307 XSi '04
Alfa Romeo 156
Honda Integra Type-R DC2 + DC5 (no RM or race car)
Ford Focus (no race car)
Toyota Corolla RUNX AEROTOURER (replacing Toyota models)
Alfa Romeo 147
Lexus IS200 (not race car)
Renault Clio/Lutecia '00 (not race car)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 4/5/6 (replacing Mitsubishi models, subject to confirmation)
Honda Civic (all models except RM and race car)
BMW 330i (replacing BMW models)
Seat Ibiza (replacing Seat models)
VW Golf V
Audi S3 + S4 (replacing Audi models)

Lexus IS200 seems tempting...

I appreciate the quick responses guys. It's making me feel welcomed.👍

All cars running with rear wing?
Is any form of lag a problem? SA's internet is not the best in the world and I don't want guys complaining bout my connection.
Sorry for all the questions but I need to find all of this out now instead of getting a thrashing later cause I didn't know.

From memory we did have one bad lag race Vtec the race i missed i think?:dopey: All you can do is clear your cache pre race and give it a whirl i guess.💡

You even made that comparizon

wow i forgot about that :D but i do really placed effort in this serie even tought the best result is the intro not the races D:

@johnny
almost relaxing after all tose ramming. i pray i won't be killed at lap 1 again. Being killed at lap one (and getting a 30 gap in one lap) cuts you out of any chance of recovering a good race as in last race 2... i was way faster than geeky and i got him only at the last lap after lapping on my best time all the race :P

in all cases welcome to all the newbies! amd remember to avoid the red volvos (if you start behind me that is) :D

You're welcome :D

Cars are running rear wings, yes (otherwise it wouldn't be touring cars:sly:)

Unless it's heavy lag (like what you can see on the second video from Suzuka) I think it should be okay

Take a look at the season so far: Click here or I kill you :D

Gotta love tight racing :) If only offline races were as fun and challenging as this!

vtech sindrome killed me with a "lag-crash" but didn't participate from that day on. so far noone had noticeable or damaging lag

I feel your pain my freind ive had the odd ram up the hooter but so far been lucky i guess:scared: I just hope some are learning their lesson:crazy: i tend to try and stay out ot the way the first couple of laps then settle into a rythem.💡 Why some think the race can be won into the first bend baffles me it can only be lost.:ouch:

Yeah, races are not won in the first corner but it's a place where you gain time if you avoid trouble..

I guess I'll have to race with you guys to find out if the lag is bad or not...:sly:
Video looks brilliant. Lots of door-to-door racing. That's how a touring car race should look like. 👍👍👍

Personally I'd rather sit and watch this than F1 in the early 00's 👍 (because almost nothing happened back then)

@Johnboy, you only say that because you can't do the Suzuka or the Cape Ring manouvre :P :) With all of respect

I say bring back the good old Super Touring Class back from the 90's. Best racing action I've seen from any other form of motorsports. Keep cars relative to their street counterpart and make a racing machine out of it without going flimsy carbon fibre bodies or any of that rubbish.

Any ring manouvre scares me tbh.:sly::scared:
