I'll be glad to let you have a look at the specs, the lowest weight we can go to is 1240kg. And that was basically my point, why penalize a overweight car more than necessary? :)

Yeah i agree with that but do the other BMW drivers run at 1300kg as per series regulations or as your doing 1240kg because thats the lowest you can get away with not an attack just a question.

I'm running 1300kg (because weight balance :sly:). Dunno about Julle though..

we did run tests to balance cars, remember? If you feel your car's so bad, give the volvo a try and post your best times to be compared to mine and m3 one's...

still we didn't try to cheat in any way :indiff: i was really surprised to know someone did try to take an unfair advantage, expecially in such a kind of serie.

if you end up with a slower car, pull yourself togheter and drive it to your best like f1 backmarkers teams do.

also work on your setup (expecially lsd), that bmw is way faster than that.

Oh god, let's just stop this arguing shall we? Don't make me feel worse than I already do. None of us is getting anywhere with it to be honest. But yeah, I just might want to try the Volvo and if I'm faster than you something is wrong. (we really want cars in S2 to be as close as possible so we might have to alter weight regulations)

Karsten:tup: Another minor point which is aimed at anyone who may be running naughty. Didnt someone mention S1 was also a test season? If this is the case running an illegal car only screws up the data we collect. As far as i would be concerned the BMW would be running level with the Hondas atleast maybe a little stronger at tighter twisty tracks (SSR5). If you hadn't been weeded out my freind as far as track performance goes we would have considered it was perfectly competitive at its legal spec wouldn't we.:indiff:

Agreed, its sorted. It was an accident.

This season is like a overal test for season 2, and by that time I know it will be all fine :)
Like I said 490pp anyone???

I would never bank on PP 100% sure its a guide as such but we tried it in the V8's and it was somewhat of a disaster.:ouch:

Thanks, and can we then let it be before I decide to leave this forever?

For now I'll vote yes to 490pp, though as JB said pp is more of a guideline

oh, I will keep it for the season 2 rules but will work out ways to help it all out as well ;)

The negative thing about pp is, you can add more ballast to the car, and
1) improve weight balance and
2) get more power.
So I'm changing decision and say we should Keep it to restricted HP and kg. (idea: 2wd, 300hp, 1300kg?)

i did it with the current cars and signaled the car that were the fastest. It's not that much of a work actually

Ok we'll see i guess we only ever try to match between 4 and 6 and that takes us weeks of testing but hey sure be fine.

and have all people try all cars on at least 3 tracks to help balancing them.

Or if we just all could take 3 or 4 not fine-tuned cars each that would help (unless we duplicate each other :lol)
For now I'll be testing Primera, BMW and Seat, just to see the differences. Tracks I'll use: Monza (Fast), Autumn Mini (Slow) and Indy Road (Mixed)

azidahaka
i was thinking od using nurburg gp/d, monza and autumn ring full

If it could help us giving info on cornering and top speed I'd be glad to use La Sarthe or Nordschleife :)

I have just been testing (after posting the video)

DO WE REALLY NEED 20 CARS???

Would we like to keep it to the cars in the BTCC 2012? or maybe that and the WTCC and ETC? 💡

This means the cars wont go to waste ;)

Doesn't matter to me. IIRC it was just a suggestion I came up with and you guys were fine. I don't care what I race, as long as my car does what I tell it to.

Maybe only current cars and championship winners from this century (gotta try asking)?
