All competitors, keep going! You have until the 23rd and I will start posting results I've received on Thursday.

I'm more than pleased with the turnout so far.

Just out of curiosity, how many people have sent in times so far? You don't have to go and count them, just a rough estimate will do. :P

I just sent in my car :) and time.

quite impressed with what I did with a otherwise stock car.

I cannot send you the e-mail to that address on the first page.

Only just seen this, great idea. I'll try and pick a car and get a time in.
Probably won't be much good at this late stage but I don't want to miss the rest of the season.

Slight bump. Only 3 days until round 1 is over. Can't wait to see where I've come and what the next track is. :D

I dont have a camera so I could never prove my time so really didnt bother so far. One question. When and where will you write down the results/list of winner etc?

And when will the next entry start/end?

Edit: And you're still on the first entry right? or week.. or is this the second entry/time? :)

Ok Ill publically post it,

Car is a 2010 Camaro SS with racing hard tires, so total cost is 50000.

Time is 1:31.493

^ Well thats quicker than me haha. I reckon I could have taken about another second or so off my time with more practice. But I left it too late, so just had to submit my time. Oh well, I'll start practising earlier next time lol.

I guess I should've bought racing hards instead of sports softs. I did 1:31.636 in my Camaro. Nice time. 👍

Bugger, I am way off from just you two...........should have thought harder about the car.....
I'll let you guys wait and see my time and car when it gets posted and I do utterly give permission for any 'Driving Miss Daisy' type comments.

The Camaro was the first car I tried for this challenge, but I just didn't think it was enough to make the times needed. Apparently I wrote it off too soon. I just assumed it was too heavy, with not enough financial room for upgrades.

Wow honestly thought my time was gonna be terrible,

I looked at some cars tried some FF cars, some AWD cars and some FR cars.

I chose FR because the weight difference and handling characteristics. I then was looking I found a 2000 Camaro SS but I could only do so much with it. I then seen the 2010 Camaro SS looked at the weight and HP numbers and price tag and was sold. I bought racing Hard tires and took her for a couple laps.

got my time and said meh thats good enough. I am surprised you guys think its good I know I can knock more off.

If I had some more cap room I would drop a close ratio tranny into it. :)

Damn, I tried the 2010 Camaro too. But didn´t thought about racing hard tires....Even my first try out (3000GT MR) was quicker. Couldnt get below 1:35min....I´m now settled with what I hope is good choice for future races.

No bragging rights for me...:ouch:

I have collected and sorted all the times mailed to me, and some I found whilst searching the thread: I nearly missed a time that way. That could have caused some major annoyance for one competitor!

The next course has been announced and is now open for driving. Everybody get racing and check the OP for the track, but if you insist, it's the Cape Ring Periphery Reverse, Dry!

From now on, I have some requests to make: first off, always email me your times, and always post your GTP username in your emails!

It's also time to dole out the prize for the Founder's Challenge winner. This week's Founder's Challenge winner is Hamish! Your prize:

One slightly-used Volkswagen camper van

Congratulations and thank you, everyone who entered!

Awesome, and so many different cars.

@Airrider
please check 7th place time. It reads 1:38,xxx min. That would be slower than me. Think it´s a typo.:sly:

I finished 8th...cooool, my favourite number,..........right after 1st.:dopey:

I enjoyed this one. Looking forward for Round 2.

Thank you Airrider for creating this and congratulations to all participants and of course the winner.:sly:

I didn't expect the Impreza to be so effective, damn.

Cape Ring will be fun. Time to get practicing.
