Sent my time in the other day, hopefully it's good enough. I think choosing sports soft tyres is going to hurt me here.

I would like to see Grand Valley next. Sent my time, just couldn't get the perfect lap put together last night like I planned. I see at least one second that could come off my time. If only there was a little more downforce on the car.

Good luck to everyone putting in their last laps today, can't wait to see the outcome!

^ I need more downforce too. That right hand corner after the little hump made my car slide everytime, resulting in slowing me down. Thats if I didn't spin there anyway lol.

Oh well, I've sent my time in now, doubt my RX7 will be able to keep up with the Impreza or the Camaros though.

So I was wondering when the results were going to get posted tonight and then I reviewed the first post. It said from 1/16 until 1/23. Which means it ended last Sunday at 7pm est.

Then I read the round 2 dates and it gives 1/23 until 1/31. Meaning we won't get results until tomorrow night? Now this gives us one extra day on round two? Then I re-read the post stating that it goes fro
Sunday at 7pm est until the following Monday 7pm est. So why were we not given the extra day last week or is it a misprint and round two just ended about 40 minutes ago?

Good question. My week 1 submission was sent Sunday night just before midnight EST and not included.

That makes two of us. I didn't care for the points, I just wanted my time posted. However, not being the only one now, I think we need an answer about this one way or another.

I have a question about season 2. Actually more of a suggestion.

The moment everyone is allowed to change cars, anyone who wants to win will choose the fastest cars from round 1. Won't this spoil the point of the challenge and turn it into a one-make time trial? I think each season should have a theme. Japanese cars, European cars, 90' models, FF-only, etc. This'll keep things fresh so you'll see new faces in the top 10 every season.

That is a good idea, maybe switching around the budget cap a little might also help. All of a sudden certain cars can't be
isidore the same, or other cars become available.

I like the idea of a changing budget cap. With a lower budget, the focus will be on FWD hatchbacks mostly. With a higher budget, you'd see more high power cars. :D:tup:

I like things the way they are. I don't think there's a given "fast car" established yet, and at 50k there's a lot of variety. I see a lot of good cars jumping to the top of the list each week, only to be replaced by others in later weeks. Granted, there aren't but a certain number of cars right now, but if it grows for season 2, it may get even more interesting.

Personally, I don't want to drive the same Camaro as a half-dozen other guys. I want to keep looking to find that elusive used car that nobody thought to try yet.

well thats me I havent touched this game in a week and I rushed home from work to do this challenge :( I sadly think I could have done better it was a rushed effort. and I am not as skilled of a driver as I would have hoped.

1:39.648 is my time submission (since cars have been picked for this round I feel no need to keep it a secret what times we have.)

I'd love something like this. I was thinking exactly the same, everyones just going to by Camaros for the next round.

im 3 tenths faster in the seven but that took ages to get it nailed!

I am slower than you guys......damn, I thought I had nailed it as well.......... Bring on the change so I can get rid of this RX-7

im gonna be honest the camaro only has one good thing going for it, power.

the gears are too wide, its heavy, it tends to bog coming out of corners I would expect a high revving lighter car to win this (the Seven seems to be good for this track)

but to get the 1.39.3 was to be on the ragged edge of what most would deam as safe driving. (alot of corners I never braked for lol)

I got down to 1:40.959 - best I can possibly do. I'm hoping that other tracks might put the Camaros at a disadvantage.

I wish I wasn't at work today, I would like to try to nail a perfect lap even though I wasn't able to after submitting my time. I think that wrx might take this two weeks in a row.

I think that fourth gear in the camaro sucks, even with it's torque, it can't push uphill with that gear. Besides that the tranny was perfect for this course in my mind.

The gears are a bit too long on the Camaro, but since I've weight reduced and added power to mine, it's not caused much of a problem. It's slower than the racing tyre tunes but certainly more enjoyable to drive. :P

what was that in?

Still a secret. Since my first round entry was late and never posted, and since there are other folks coming online for the first time today, I'll sit on my find. It's not the fastest and I was surprised, but man it's a little jewel to drive.

Well a 1:39.131 was my final time in the Camaro. I figured with a close to perfect lap it could have hit 1:38.1xx but never got it right. I would post up the picture, but I don't know how to from my phone... I'll email it to anyone that wants to see
