Bugatti has revealed the first image of their Vision Gran Turismo project. This virtual concept is to be presented at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt from the 12th to the 17th of September, 2015.

“Bugatti is the world’s most exclusive super sports car brand and Bugatti cars are only available to an extremely small group of automobile connoisseurs,” says Wolfgang Dürheimer, President of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. “At the same time Bugatti is admired and loved by countless people throughout the world. We highly appreciate this enthusiasm. The ‘Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo’ will make our brand available to them as well as to gamers and high-performance aficionados throughout the world, only very few of whom will be able to afford a real Bugatti. They can all benefit from the success of our brand. This is a project for our fans.”

“I was thrilled and surprised that such a revered, traditional brand as Bugatti shares my passion and vision for ‘Gran Turismo’,” says Kazunori Yamauchi, President of Polyphony Digital. “Bugatti has developed an exciting concept for Vision Gran Turismo, and naturally it is a high-performance vehicle with a fascinating design. The level of attention to detail shown in the technical implementation by Bugatti has really impressed me.”

“With the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, we have not developed a fantasy product of the type which is normally seen in this category of the game,” explains Achim Anscheidt, head of the Bugatti design team. “We had the clear goal of developing a vehicle which could also be driven on a real race circuit if it left the virtual world. ‘Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo’ stands for authenticity.“

With the “Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo” virtual concept, Bugatti will be presenting the new form and design language developed by the brand to celebrate the next chapter in its history following the end of the Veyron era.

“Bugatti’s design DNA has reached a new stage in its evolution,” Anscheidt announces. “In view of the nature of the project, our concept car for Vision Gran Turismo will be exaggerated and performance-oriented. Even so, the progressive design language will give an impressive demonstration of the path to be taken by Bugatti design over the next few years.”

Stay tuned for more updates including the official unveiling coming soon!

"our concept car for Vision Gran Turismo will be exaggerated and performance-oriented"
I'm a bit scared. A part of me was expecting the Type 51 or a prototype of the Chiron :(

Since they are confirmed to make their Vision car I just hope it's like what an ordinary, yet futuristic Veyron-like hypercar should look like, not too overpowered (at least around 1500HP should do, using the engine of the Chiron) and not too murderous to drive like the SRT Tomahawk X and not too difficult to handle like an ordinary Veyron.

Vision GT

Hmmm, interesting part !! If I 'imagine' a car that fits around the carpart they showed us, I see a Type 51 or other single-seater car indeed. The vertical fin could be a aerodynamic part just behind the drivers seat, in the middle, or maybe it's a part 1 from 2 identical parts behind both seats. If I would bet on a kind of shape, it would be a strongly inspired Type 51 thing.

And I didn't red the whole thread, but.. Am I the first one it could have Vi51on in the name ? :dopey:👍

I said we would have news late August or early September. It's done ! :)

Bugatti has joined the manufacturers for the project Vision GT. It's a good news ! And the fact that they want to be realistic and not make a fantasy car is good news, too ! :) I can't wait to discover it.

It's worth noting that we've had two Volkswagen VGTs, and Audi and Lamborghini are in the VGT list. Bugatti makes five Volkswagen Group VGTs!

Actually, Sir Famine, and pardon me if my facts are disputable, but that number may need to be raised to six; let us not forget who recently took over Italdesign Giugiaro after its founder and (now former) honorary CEO sold his last remaining share of the company... Indirectly, that project became a Volkswagen Group project in the process, which leads me to my claim of six VAG Group cars and not five.

The original image that started all this hype still has me curious. 7 pit crew members. The stupidity of big time hyping up of DLC for a past gen game and console.

.... and what the heck is that arrow pointing at in the original image? *sharingan activates*
