I hate manual with clutch when driving a car that has a terrible gearbox. Just doesn't feel right power shifting in a Subaru BRAT or a Terradyne Gurkha for example. That's why I tend to use regular manual in single player, but for leagues, rivals and online hoppers (except tag), I will use manual with clutch.

The sad part is I'm getting used to it and rather enjoying it using the RB as clutch + right analog stick for shifting. However, it is a chore to constantly change it back to regular manual when you're driving a paddle-shifter. Also, as I mentioned in one of my posts, the downshifting sound is very strange - as if the engine is about to stall. It partially goes silent.

I hear you on that. The downshifting is weird. The revs just fly all over the place, and sometimes causes your car to unsettle. That really sucks when you've got a guy about to overtake you online, and your car suddenly kicks it's tail out, causing you and the other guy to crash.

Yeah - better to just stick to normal manual I guess.

Edit: is it just me or do all cars brake really well? They are on stock brakes and tires and brake almost too well.

Anyone noticed the white line bug? It appears on certain tracks, it's very noticeable in Monza. It's sort of like a piece of track that doesn't get rendered. It's always a horizontal line and very, very thin.

It's hard to describe but I saw it happen quite a lot during the Lambo/ Monza rivals event.

I've seen it at Road atlanta and Hockenhiem, still there...

This happened to me months ago, was pretty funny yet confusing at the same time.

Yes there is some horrible driving by me, including off track excursions there but it's partially due to me laughing my ass off with this glitch.

I had a bug a couple of weekends ago, it hasn't replicated itself since, the animation after the end of the race showing
the car pulling into the pit stall, showed my BMW M5 at COTA crashing into the pit then going up on it's front wheels, another at Le Mans with the Porsche 919 pulling in then dropping through the ground, then the screen shifts to the payout screen.

That actually just seems to be lag, although I'm surprised they didn't send you flying off the track with that warping going on.

I'm not really sure it was lag, what happened and maybe it is hard to see in the video is that on the main straight everything looked normal. Once we got to the first turn is that things started looking odd, happened that all of the other cars never turned, they maintained their position parallel to the main straight. At one point they were completely facing backwards, pretty funny stuff.

I guess it was just a visual once off glitch for me, it was only affecting how I was viewing them but they were racing normally. Nobody complained through their headsets. The times I've witnessed lag problems has been pretty much just one car bouncing off all over the track but still turning and such.

This seems to be a modelling issue. I've noticed it on most tracks, really. Seams that weren't joined fully.

It's a small, but nonetheless niggling issue. Like the cars teleporting off screen a split second before the camera changes post-race, or the surroundings sometimes loading in a fraction of a second after your car pulls to a stop for the credits and XP. I'm surprised these things weren't dealt with prior to release, since they're quite minor, but have a substantial impact on perceived quality, at least for me.

Cars suffer from 6% engine damage right from the get go since the latest update.

What assists are you running?

There was (is?) a similar problem with the transmission if you run full damage and manual + clutch. I've resorted to running without damage for that, and looks like I'll need to do the same for this until they fix it. :-/

Yes, I remember that too. I noticed the engine damage bug using the following settings:

Suggested line off
ABS off
Simulation steering
Traction and stability control off
Manual shifting
Simulation damage
Rewind off

At least I'm glad they recently added the fuel and tire option for damage. That fixes it, as one would expect, but no mechanical damage at all then.
